Worst customer service I have seen! Employees were not educated on the products, short staff, and they had no clue what they were doing. I stopped in for some printing. I have done this at numerous Office Depots across the country and this is the first time that I was asked to come back another day. I was able to talk him into printing my cards for me and he directed me to the other machines to print up my booklet myself. read more

Amazing experience with Thomas @ the Frisco location. I needed to shred a shopping bag full of already hand shredded papers. The printing rep Thomas assisted me. He was one of the most professional, meticulous and genuinely kind people that I have had the pleasure of dealing with. Not only did he place my already small pieces of paper into the slim shredder slot, he checked around the bin to make sure nothing remained on the floor. All the while he maintained a great thoughtful attitude!! I almost wished we could hire him in my office but I am sure that he will prosper wherever he goes. I went in today. the bare shelves I can understand with shortage i was not worried about that. but what I couldn't get past was how actually disgusting the store was. im not sure the floor has ever been swept or mopped. the floors were terrible. I don't think I was this upset in a long time. I had to get some printing done at the last minute. I remember the last time i was in this location. They told me they are able to get things printed off the same day. When I came into the store it was around 3:30pm. We had just moved and computer and printer were not set up yet. So I simply needed to print out a flyers for a speaking event the next day. When I first went into the store, someone greeted me right away with a smile. But I can assure you, things went south from that point. When I walked to the printing dept, this lady that worked there, I should not mentioned her name. She was rude, no smile, and asked me what I needed done. You can tell from her expression on her face (which is the RBF) that she hated working there. And that she was tired of having to help people. I told her what I needed and she immediately said that she will need to charge me a design fee. But I explained to her that my flyer was already done, completed. Nothing to design...I just need to print it out, that is it. She then said email it to this email address, email address was taped to the back of their computer. I also told her I needed to make another flyer with a simple clip art and a couple of sentencing behind it. Once again, she mentioned to me in her RBF that she will need to charge me a design fee. But I kept asking her, how is it a design fee if I am going to type it up? and chose the clip art myself? They have the computer stations up there for that reason. Then she sent the other worker to come talk to me. I guess because she was sick of dealing with me. The other worker, named Eran, was a little nicer. But you can tell he was ready to go home too. But he was trying to help me more than the other girl. He explained to me that they both are pretty new and they really didn't know how to use word, or other design applications on the computer to make what I needed. I told him I appreciated his honesty but I can design it myself. The whole time I am thinkng how is this a full service printing department if they have 2 people who do not know how to use word? And what would they have done if I said yes to the design fee?? He said that there is ONE lady who is more advanced than they are, but she only works Monday to Friday. So I said if people came in on a weekend then I guess they are just out of luck? He said pretty much. I was shocked!!! As I stood there, designing my own flyer on their computer, he proceeded to tell me that if he needed to cut the flyers for me it will be $2 per cut----WOW!!!! I immediately said no worries, I can cut the flyers myself. And ask if there is a cutter. He said yes, pointing at a cutter in the corner. Later on when they finally printed out my flyers (after many mistakes, because they obviously have no idea what they are doing), I took my flyers to the cutter. They have one cutter for the customers to use-and it was broken. The piece of plastic that is designed to hold the paper down, so the cut can be accurate is broken off the cutter. I tried desparately to use the cutter but it was impossible. Meanwhile, the other girl was joking around with Eran, having more fun and smiling....happier than dealing with any customer. At one point, Eran asked her how did the previous customer want his order...and her reply was " I don't know, he didn't say anything, so I guess if it's wrong, it's his own fault." then laughing. I am just shocked at how she can still have a job there??? She is clearly not the right person to work in that department. Later on, I told Eran that it is impossible to cut with the cutter being broken. He then told me he would cut them for me at no charge. I thought that was nice and certainlyl the right thing to do- since there is no way for me to cut it myself! If anyone needs anything done for printing, please go else where. Then he had to call someone over to answer my question (which is fine) the guy that was called over stood with his work buddies and chatted for a few minutes and then slowly made his way over to us. Evidently I was wearing my invisible suit today. Walked in, no greeting. Walked to the item I wanted. Picked it up, returned to the front to pay for my item. One cashier, having difficulty ringing up another customer, evidently so lost in the transaction that he couldn't look up and realize customers were waiting. After about 7 minutes another cashier comes out of nowhere (no call for register help or apology for the wait). This cashier brings a customer with him and checks them out with no acknowledgement that I've been waiting. Evidently your cashiers don't understand where their paychecks actually come from.... Rudely was turned away when trying to buy an iPad. They were pulling the gates closed 20 mins before their scheduled closing time.

We came here on Sunday and placed a "same day" order for a stamp. Later on, we were told it'd be ready for pick up the following day, and we would receive a call when it was done. Two days go by and not one phone call from Office Depot. We stopped by to see what the deal was, come to find out Cole forgot to even submit my order into the system. My stamp was no where near ready for pick up, but they sure didn't forget to charge my credit card same day! read more

Praiseworthy: clean store, friendly cashier, organized merchandise, reasonable prices, can potentially find good sale items, they carry office products like coffee machines and disposable cups, etc., they offer other in-store services. Gripe-worthy: not a lot of variety...be prepared to not find exactly what you're looking for (e.g. they only sell 3 different types of lanyards and 2/3 are cheap and broke on me), friendliness of cashiers can be hit or miss, can't usually find anyone on the floor when I need help, you can probably find better pricing elsewhere on a lot of items. read more

This review is for their printing center. I would not consider their printing service "professional" as the staff there definitely didn't know any more "printing-stuff" than I did. It's definitely cheap but if you need something to be done professionally and correctly, spend the extra money and go to Kinko's. We were making some of our wedding stationary ourselves and we came to print our wedding programs and a big 3'x2' seating chart. Sounds simple enough right? Wrong! Programs: Apparently their super fancy $4000 dollar laser printers have different color calibration than most printers. I'm not a professional photographer but I do have my monitors calibrated correctly to see things in their true color. The point is that what we saw on our computer and test prints looked nothing like what their printer printed. It looked like they're missing a lot of blue. Either way, the staff knew nothing about color calibration and we ended up just printing the programs ourselves on our own laser printer. It took more work but at least the colors were right. Seating Chart: The printing was ok but the lamination machine broke for some reason and no one could fix it. We waited another day and still no one could fix it until the evening shift. And then for some reason they mounted it on a tri-fold, so they had to redo the whole thing -_- In the end, the mounting wasn't even done properly and the laminated paper was pilling off from all sides. We essentially had to redo the mounting ourselves using double sided tapes. read more

No Consistency! Filled up the buggy with awesome back to school deals for myself and my coworkers at lunch and THEN I noticed the fine print! Only 3 super awesome good deals per household. That's cool, my error. Put majority of buggy back on the shelf and went to get in line. While in line I see that the lady in front of me at cashier #1 is ringing up 5 transactions, getting multiple awesome back to schools! That's cool, I want to do that! My friend goes to cashier #2 and specifically asks if we can ring up multiple purchases since we have lists from our friends and they want the awesome back to school deals too. He says "sure no problem". Off I go to fill up my buggy again with awesome back to school deals! With my buggy full I once again go stand in line. Bummer for me, I got cashier #3. I told him that I had 4 separate ring ups and he says "Do you have 4 people with you?" I told him no, but that Cashier #1 had said this was okay. He shook his head said no, it doesn't work that way. He made me feel like an idiot. Realizing that if I threw a fit I was probably going to get Cashier #1 and #2 in trouble I just told him he could keep my buggy and I left. That was a wasted lunch hour. I have no problem following the rules, but pick a rule, communicate it to your employees and make it fair for EVERYONE. I would have been fine with just my awesome back to school deals...I only tried to get for my friends because 1) I SAW someone doing it with Cashier #1 2) I ASKED Cashier #2 and he told me it was cool. Also, Cashier #3 could have been nicer. Not a single "im sorry" or anything. And I wasn't the only person who walked out, a man got frustrated about a printer issue and left saying he would just go to Walmart. Seems like customer service is not a high priority at this Office Depot. Not a cool experience Office Depot! Guess I will take all my back to school shopping somewhere else. read more

Had a few minutes to kill before another place opened, so I stopped in. The store was almost empty at 11:00, so I felt like it was just a matter of time before they closed like other office superstores. Purchased a $700.00 laptop for our daughter for the new school senior year. Here is the story. Jaison was helpful in directing us toward something that would work for art/graphic design. Bought a Dell. We have had roughly eight various Dell's over the years. This one out of the box sounded like a electric razor! Called Dell, their solution was mail it to their regional repair center with a two week turn around. Unacceptable with school starting and her needing this for her class prep. So I call Office Depot where we bought it. Spoke with Paul. He said we have a 14 day return, bring it back! Wanted to restore it first before returning it. Although only less than a week old, I'm acutely aware in wanting to protect passwords to emails and such. 24 hours later...it still didn't restore. Office Depot here and Jaison and Paul offered a helpful and timely solution to something Dell could not provide. Both gentlemen were helpful, courteous and no hassle-issue return for what was obviously a dud off the line from Dell. Thanks again guys!!!! read more

Beware of Jason! I went drove all the way here to get ink for my printer and wanted help to find where they stock their inks. The staff name Jason who was at the register looked at me and just said "what?" No "hello can I help you?" No "are you looking for something?" Just made eye contact with me and said "what?". You bet I already had a bad feeling about this guy! But again I drove all the way here and just thought I'd get ink and get he h&ll out. I ask for the ink and he said nothing as he tried to check me out to pay. Last time I came here, a gentleman told me I could recycle the ink and get discount on it on the spot, but this guy didn't do that. I asked him to provide me with a discount and he just said it'll go towards my Office Depot rewards points. I told him I never use the rewards and that I only shop here for ink so to provide me with a discount. He said he's never heard of providing discount and he was being quite rude at this point so I just left. What a waste of time and what a bad service! read more

They're great about helping you when you DO need it though! They often have great sales on paper and computer chairs. The only con for me here is the DISGUSTING bathroom. Ew. Went in to get some prints done. Diana was very helpful with paper choice recommendations for my prints and they turned out looking wonderful. I'm giving a 3 because there were several employees up front as I walked in just standing around with arms crossed doing nothing but she had a line in the print area and was helping several people at once. You guys need to hire some help or maybe someone go help her. I've been there several times and maybe it's just the time of day I pick to go in, but this seems to be the norm for this location. Something about this Office Depot kind of bugs me-maybe it was because I went in twice around 7 pm...maybe that's a weird time for the staff? It seemed like it was weird for my friend and I to be there, but hey, when organizing your apartment after a full day of work, when else am I supposed to go in? Aside from that, they have a pretty good selection; the store itself just looked kind of blah and a little shabby. There is no one here to help you. I went to Staples first, they had a lot of staff and several people asked if I needed help. I then went to Office Depot to see if they had anything Staples did not. When I was checking out the cashier was super pushy on getting their discount card. I told him I was not interested. He then asked for my e-mail address so he could sign me up anyway. Very pushy. One was working with customers, but not one of the ask if they could help or even acknowledged they would be with me shortly.
