I will never even try to go to the copy and print center here ever again. They are always late on everything, and in the dozen-ish times I've picked up an order, they were right ONLY ONE TIME! They'd cut it wrong, or use the wrong paper, ughhh! As a small business owner, time is a huge commodity, and I will never waste it on this office depot again. I am SO disappointed in Office Depot. Let me explain my extreme frustration. I placed an order 1 week ago today. When I checked my email for a receipt I didn't have one so I chatted with an online agent who told me "my order could not be submitted" for whatever reason she did not mention. She told me my money would be refunded in 24 hours. The next day I got on with another chat agent. He told me that he could manually re-process my order so that I could get the desks I wanted. So he did and I received a confirmation email. I come to work 5 days later and check the status of my order as my work team is patiently awaiting desks from there and I see that my order is "cancelled" and "deleted". I did not receive any notification that my order had been deleted from Office Depot. I then got online with another chat agent. This guy told me that the order could not be processed since they didn't have enough in stock. That is so stupid considering they took $3247 of mine before telling me the products weren't in stock. The following morning after finding out my order had been cancelled I called the online trying to get my money back and she said i'd receive an email and my money back that day. Well I didn't get either and now I'm LIVID. read more

Pretty disappointing. I just wanted to pick up a few office supplies the other night. There were 4 people working in the store and they were all trying to figure out the store computer. After waiting in line and watching these guys for about 10 minutes, I put my stuff down and left. They should probably just close down and give their space to CVS. read more

Very friendly and approachable staff. I ordered a chair and some other supplies online (using a promo code). When I walked in, I was spotted in line by an employee and pulled aside to retrieve my order. She went the extra mile and helped me bring everything to the car. Inevitably, always, consistently...poor service. Once I had purchased an expensive laptop at a different Office Depot. Took it back but to this store instead. Manager flat out lied & said he couldn't take it & made me drive to other location. Another Mgr didn't know what he was doing and instead of asking his minion for help, turned 5 minute mailing project into an unpleasant 15 min one. And today, store is empty except there were 7 people in the copies/shipping line. Asked one of the guys behind register, David, if he might assist. Nope....he couldnt help because his shift was over, he tells me and walks away. This place is under new management, and you can feel it the minute you step in. It used to be SO DISMAL I hated to go there. Now they've got friendly super-competent personnel, the place is clean and organized and everything is up and running. Every single time I had been in before December 5th, it was a hassle to get anything done, but this time The check-out guy with the great dreads, Esteban in Tech, and Jacoby (manager) were all on hand to help me get exactly what I needed in the most efficient and pleasant way possible. I shop here several times a year and have never had anything but great customer service. Yeah, the store has gotten smaller, but still fairly easy to find things and get on with it. I buy all my printer paper here, as well as photo paper and inks. I've purchased an mp3 player here, computer accessories, binders, pens... Never once a complaint. read more

Had a fine experience at the depot. Was greeted at the door and the cashier was very friendly. They even price match Amazon! On my way out the door the door greeter walked out behind me only to grab boxes out of another guys arms for a shipment drop off. That's service and that's why I am writing a review. I don't really write reviews but I thought this place was so good I just had to. Recently visited Office Depot for some supplies for school. The cashier Susi was very helpful and listened intently. If she didn't know an answer she asked her manager so she could get me the best answer. Although the wait time was a little Much they're very understaffed at the moment but the people that did work there were very nice and wonderful no matter how hectic it was. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. I'm usually in and out of this place in 10 minutes. I was really impressed once when I was in line, two people in front of me and one cashier, and what I assumed was the manager came over and did my transaction with her flipping phone in less than two minutes. Getting e-mailed a receipt is a plus. This location is far better than any others I've visited. read more

The business center is a nightmare of dysfunction. It got so bad that I asked the business center clerk why this store sucked so bad. He went on a 10 minute rant about how bad the store is. He said that the management is bad, nothing works, and the computer system is completely obsolete, among a lot of other things that I don't want to repeat because I don't want him to get fired. I bought an HP laptop. Got it home and tried it for awhile; just didn't like it. Not the store's fault at all. I took it back 14 days after the date of purchase, per the return policy on the back of the receipt. I neatly re-packaged it. The manager came to approve the refund, and he looks at the receipt, says the date of purchase out loud, then says "you know it's 14 days to return - we're past that." I waited patiently for him to add it up in his head and he said oh - no we're not. Then he asked the cashier if she did a damage tag and I said "it's not damaged." He said "we can't sell this." Not my problem, dude. Rude for no reason. I won't be back. read more

This morning I ordered a folio case for my new tablet online to be picked up in person at the South Lamar @ Oltorf location. I used a payment combination of a gift card and a credit card. I received an email within about an hour that my order was ready to be picked up. I drove to the store, waited in line and eventually was acknowledged by a guy that told me that they didn't really have it in stock and it wasn't his fault. While talking to him I get a second email on my iPhone stating that the item is ready to be picked up. I tell him this and again, he claims it's not his problem and I need to talk to the manager. I went to look around a bit and see if I could find anything resembling the item I was looking for with no luck. I found the manager, who told me that I should've gotten a call that they didn't have it, though I didn't, and that my credit card and gift has been refunded. I drive back to the office, attempt to order from another location and find that the refunds will take about 45 days to complete... Zero customer service, zero accountability... Today I went to Office Depot to get a picture printed for my locket, and the woman working at the photo counter was such great help. We spoke for a while about her family, and she helped me cut the picture into the shape of a heart for my locket, she was such a delight to be around. Great customer service. read more

Inept is an understatement. Employees are very eager to say or yell "welcome to Office Depot. How can we help you?". Not unlike Wal-Mart greeters. The problem is: the employees working in the print and copy area are extremely under trained and highly inefficient. They get one star for being nice, but as a business owner, i am not looking for niceties. I need them to herd the always long and impatient line and move the slow people to another area. Additionally, I find it off putting and antiquated that every time i give them something to copy or ship they rotate the computer around on a swivel for me to do the typing, which i don't mind but this is an "Office" store and they should have a better system than this. I HATE when i have to go into this store. They need an overhaul and the employees need more training in dealing with customers and being more efficient in their very limited and rudiment skill-set. read more

No customer service, always a slow check out process, and a clunky system for getting printer cartridges from some secure cage at the back of the store that only the employee who can't be found has the keys for. Their return policy is ridiculous! I drove 15 minutes out of the way to return a Padfolio my fiancée purchased using his card that is linked to our joint account. The item was still in its original packaging and I had the receipt, but since I didn't have his card with me, they refused to do the return! I was going to mail some stuff off while I was there but since I was so frustrated by this policy, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I will not be back! read more

don't ever order from Office Depot online again! they don't understand how to do anything right like give back a customers money! By the way, the online office depot is stationed offshore in India. I know this because I asked the representative. I will never order any merchandise or recommend Office Depot to anyone, as a matter of fact I am writing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and to other review sites to warn people not to do business with this company. I have purchased a file cabinet and my credit card was charged twice. I was told that this would be canceled and even received the email. I talked to the first representative who said she canceled the first order. Then I spoke to a second representative who said the first representative did it wrong and would do it over again. The third representative said the second representative did it wrong and would make sure the money is returned back to my debit card but of course that didn't happen. The fourth representative told me that he would give me an authority number to call my bank and allow my back to release the funds that Office Depot charged me. Of course didn't work for two reasons; the first reason is that the bank is not going to return money back to you, the company who is charging you has to call your bank. Second, there is no such thing as an authority number, the correct term is authorization number! I talked and complained to two managers who said they would make sure that the money returns to my credit card which of course again did not happen. I finally had to file a complaint to my bank in order to get the money back! What a headache read more

So, this is my first review. I never review places because I don't get overly upset when I have a bad experience at a store. The customer service is the WORST! I was literally told to use Google or call the manufacturer when I had a question on one of their printers. The staff ALWAYS acts like you're annoying them by interrupting their conversations when you try to check out. I even said "hello" and didn't get a response, but the cashier made a snickering face and glanced at one of the other employees. I can confidently say I won't be back. read more

this place has really, really, gone DOWNHILL. i get copies done there periodically, never had a problem before- until now. i bring my item to be reproduced to the clerk, she takes it and goes over to the copier and pretends to mess around for a bit. obviously she cannot even work a copier. then she convinces another guy to take over, he manages to complete the job, and brings the copies back and sets them in front of me and walks off. doesn't bother to tell me how much i owe, can't be bothered to check me out. after several minutes of this standoff, i request him to quote me the cost and accept my money. when i asked him why he couldn't explain to me the amount i owed- his answer was, i was talking to someone on the wireless headset. as if i was not there to hear that he was never talking to anyone, because he wasn't, unless it was telepathy! the entire group of people working there at the copy center was middle eastern, and the impression i got was- no customer service for you, because you are white and not muslim. i don't care what other people call it, this is racism. ungrateful foreigners who cannot be bothered to do their jobs correctly because my white skin deserves their hostility and obfuscation. read more
