Always order the special! We have never had a bad experience here. The food is good, the drinks are good and the staff is so friendly.

Outstanding bar/restaurant! Definitely a plus when you have great food as well as great beer!

This place was just ok to me. Someone recommended we try it. I got a patty melt and it wasn't bad, but also not melty. My husband got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and he enjoyed it. The beer they had on tap was sub-par but we noticed that as a trend in town. Our server asked what types of beers I like and I stated "porters, stouts." He recommended a hazelnut Porter and it was very bitter. Not warm bodied at all. It not his fault at all but wasn't what I expected for a Porter. Service was great. read more

I ordered a tequila club and the black bean burger. The tator tots were hot and crunchy and the burger was freaking delicious! The bartender was super sweet and the place was cozy and welcoming. I would definitely bring my friends and family here! read more

Off Broadways food is always delicious! Their buffalo chicken tacos are my favorite in the world. Love that they have brunch now, it's a pretty great addition to Sunday mornings in Madison. Service is usually a hit or miss on friendliness, it's never too bad though, just depending on who it is/the day but we will always come back! read more

Stopped here while in Madison for the weekend and it did not disappoint. It looks like every other small town tavern but don't let that fool you. Tater tots were crispy with the perfect amount of toppings. The chicken on the wrap was juicy and not overcooked along with fresh ingredients to compliment the flavor. And lastly, the patty melt was the best we've had, juicy burger cooked to a perfect medium with just the right amount of seasonings. We didn't have any cocktails but the options are numerous and others seated nearby seemed to be pleased. Service was great; friendly and very attentive taking time to answer questions and make suggestions. read more

This place was awesome! Great beer, chill vibes, and ample options for every person that walks through the door. Classic Indiana cuisine also makes the menu in the form of a mouthwatering tenderloin sandwich. Service was also prompt and efficient. read more

Had a good evening at what appears to be a local hangout. It was seat yourself at an open table, but we didn't have to wait long before someone was at our table asking what we wanted to drink. Our server brought a taste of the beer, so I could make an informed decision. I like that I didn't have to ask. My wife had the rosemary chicken sandwich and I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich. My wife was very happy with her meal. I would have liked the horseradish sauce to have been a little stronger, but that is my personal taste and doesn't reflect on the quality of the sandwich. We had a good experience and I think you will too, if you give it a try. read more

There is little to dislike about this small town tavern. The bartender/server was very nice and knowledgeable about the food and beverages. She recommended just the right mix of food and drinks. We started with a raspberry beer, a red beer (tomato juice & beer), and a peach cider. Followed that with a hummus platter with homemade hummus, crispy chips and veggies. We finished with some carnitas tacos - slow roasted pork, pineapple salsa, cojita cheese, and pickled red onions on both flour and corn tortillas (gluten allergy!!) All were very tasty!! If you are traveling thru Madison IN and need a break from the road The Off Broadway Taproom is a nice stop. read more

The reviews sent us here, but the reception we received from two staff had us heading back out the door. I can't say anything about the food, but this place seems to cater to locals and may not be as welcoming to visitors. read more

We went just to have a place to watch a football game. Had no idea that I was about to have the best tacos ever outside of a Mexican restaurant! My husband had the club wrap and loved it too. The next time we are in Madison, we will definitely go back. read more

Located right in the middle on the main drag, this full service bar offers a wide variety of craft brews and cocktails. However the food is what really stands out as the dishes are wonderfully curated. While their menu is wide, like their tacos which can be ordered in a variety of ways including crawfish and shrimp to carnitas and chicken or beef. They also offer other usual suspects like burgers and tots and salads. They also offer a brunch that is phenomenal and will cure the heaviest of hangovers, should you incur one, during your stay in Madison. However on this occasion I ordered the summer salad with chicken and it was stunning. All of the ingredients fresh, chicken hot, goat cheese light and refreshing and dressing so flavorful and zesty! It's almost large enough for two meals but I was extra hungry on this occasion and barely managed to finish it. The one only slight gripe is this place can really fill up quickly on a nice day and service can be a bit slow. There's not really much of a waiting area or person to check you in anywhere. I saw a handful or potential customers during my visit standing near the front just waiting for someone to come up to them or searching for an open seat. Outside of some potential challenges with retaining potential customers and increasing customer turnover this place and it's delectable dishes are worth a visit! read more

I'm from out of town and have been here once before. The tator tots are to die for. However, this visit was miserable. The service was horrible. They had plenty of workers. We had to get up numerous times to reorder When I went to the bar to get more drinks ( due to a very long wait) the young waitress was snippy and said " you have a server and I said that he wasn't doing his job. She still get our drinks. We ordered in the restaurant and also a "to-go" order and that was wrong. read more

The crawfish tacos are absolutely amazing. Their loaded tots are a must try as well. Large selection and great environment.

I had the Rock & Roll Burger with chips and fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. The burger was well cooked but I wasn't a fan of the peanut butter. The fried tomatoes were just ok and it was difficult to get a beer. They were either in a can or out of it on tap. Our first server was a man who wasn't very attentive and never came back after telling me they didn't have the first beer I wanted off the list. A female took over and was much more attentive. I would go back again if in the area to try some other items on the menu. read more

Really tasty food, really hit the spot after a long hike at Clifty Falls! Especially happy they do half orders of certain apps, like the loaded tots, which I highly recommend! Service was great, good but low-key and not in your business, just the way I like it. read more

Our favorite burger pub... the staff are attentive and the food is good and unique offerings. We sampled the Wrangler A+ and Pepper Jelly A+ Burgers. The chicken taco A was good, per source, but steak taco A++ was really good. Fried Green BLT was tasty A and the chicken club was good, with kick of spicy. Most of our sides were Tots. Fries were meaty cut. Till we return... highly recommend. Thanks Miley for suggesting takeout and picnic table dining in alley. read more

Cool huge venue, great artwork in the bathroom, great food, great value, chill servers! I stopped by for lunch halfway through a great motorcycle cruise down from Indy, I LOVED THIS PLACE. You get the legit old school bar feeling as if you were in an old saloon, walking past the long bar on the left. The food is a great value, I had a half pound bison cheeseburger, and could not be happier for the money. Pro-Tip: Get the tots for an extra $1, freaking awesome tots, Napoleon Dynamite approved Extra- Tip: Take a seat in the bathroom -- my favorite part of the decor was the caricature caricature paintings of musicians all over the bathroom walls! read more

The wings are smoked and fried, which is my favorite way to prepare them... and they were delicious! I made a trip to clifty falls and was hungry afterwards, i figured I'd check out Madison on my way back to Indianapolis. It did not disappoint! I got carry out from off broadway taproom. It was ready within 15 minutes and the prices were super reasonable. I got the Philly cheesesteak and i am not exaggerating when i say it's the best I've ever had. Sometimes they are too dry but this one was gooey with cheese and sauce. The sandwich was balanced with powerful flavor. The fries were also way above average. The sea salt is a nice tough! I will definitely stop back in next time I'm in town. read more

It's a wonderful classic style pub that has amazing tacos and; I'm told, good other food. I always order the tacos so I really can't tell you about the rest. I visited Off Broadway Taproom after hiking in Clifty Falls. I'm always super hungry after hiking and my meal here hit the spot! I ordered the Rosemary Chicken sandwich. You know what's hard? Trying to run restaurants the Covid quarantine. A sad state of affairs with rules and restrictions; tough for a restaurant to survive. But I'll tell you what, I am happy to support the ones that are able to stay open for take out. Every 2 weeks, my dad and I meet in Madison, IN for lunch. It's a delight to try the various restarants in town. We've done taco Tuesday at Off Broadway Taproom and while it was a Wed, we decided to wing it. He had a lunch special - Southwest Salad....and I had...tacos. Wednesday can be taco day too! The Southwest salad looked amazing! Very colorful, filled with toppings, I was slightly jealous. There was so much avocado on it. OMG! Awesome! Luckily for me, my dad isn't big on avocado so I took it for my tacos. Yum!  I actually ordered three which is always too much food and end up sharing with padre. I ordered a fish taco, chicken taco, and a carnitas. I ate the carnitas and part of chicken. My dad took the rest.  Let me say, even though you don't really think about tacos to-go; it worked! The were not soggy, they were intact, the flavors were bursting. We will definitely order the to-go lunches until they reopen for business.  So good, even on a Wednesday! read more

Stopped in for dinner with my wife while visiting Madison and couldn't have had a better experience. The restaurant was comfortable and clean, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and most importantly the food was incredible. We had the hot pretzels with beer cheese and mustard as an appetizer (must try). For our meals we each ordered various tacos including fish, carnitas, and chicken for my wife and I had crawfish, steak, and spicy shrimp. Each one was better than the last. The individual sauces were full of flavor and perfectly paired with each concoction. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious!! We will definitely be coming back!! read more

I wish I could give a zero rating, nasty ass man you seated us, the breaded chicken sandwich almost made us throw up,,, 2 inches of old batter and oil and the small piece of chicken slid out, gross. My dinner was some weird sandwich that resembled a bruschetta and had zero taste,,,, avoid this place at all cost, we are from Carmel not that it's important but come on I work in a restaurant, change your deep fryer, ugh read more

Stopped in week before Christmas, sat right down and was greeted by the bartender and explained the beer menu and their farm to table menu. We tried a taco special as an app and it was great! Tacos, sandwiches, and apps all sound very good and smelling them as they passed was just what a hungry table wanted! Bourbon prices are fair and selection is enough to wet your whistle. We had bison burgers with fries and tots.. absolutely no compliments! Price with drinks: $60.00 Good music, great wall art, and clean bathrooms. Would dine here again. You should too. read more
