Bad coconut

Order from Grubhub figured the food was still great from years ago. I ordered the classic chicken panini and 2 desserts, lemon coconut cake & crumb cake. Well the panini bread was soggy on one side which I could have dealt with but I cannot deal with Mold being on my food. I was ready to enjoy the lemon cake when I discovered not only discoloration on the coconut but small flecks of mold. Disgusting and I could not even get a credit back. Never again.

Staff is friendly and very busy. Soup had too many noodles for my taste. Chicken salad was yummy.

Food came an hour and 10 minutes after I ordered, and cold. I work right across the street.

We liked the coffee but was disappointed that they didn't have any vegan & gluten free options that…read morethey advertised. They said they ran out. What they did have was tasty & their latte was hot! Most places serve it lukewarm. The place was pretty & we were happy it was open.

I'm not going to lie if I say that sometimes I pick sort of stylish-worthy places for my curiosity…read more(guilty). What a difference in design from the previous Brrzaar café in this same spot years ago. The color on all the walls adds a minimalist+chic feel but keeps the clean look that only a white paint provides! It's the perfect balance, in my opinion. If it's an upbeat café you're after, this husband+wife team at LuDy (named after the couple's 2 children) are bringing their Melbourne coffee culture to quaint Irvington, NY. They partner with Proud Mary Coffee to bring coffee to the masses, Flour Power from Pelham, NY to offer scrumptious baked goods and Spirit Tea. Judging by the number of people I found sitting at the tables chitchatting with their friends/co-workers, etc during my Tuesday 11am visit, this is the place for a hangout over bites and beverages. But do also know, LuDy is loud. I'm not sure if people nowadays know common conversation 101 courtesy using a normal volume. Anyhow. Since their June '24 opening, LuDy's owner is setting himself apart in the community and is the epitome of a friendly neighborhood cafe. And service from him, the morning I was here, was pure gentlemanly as he located a chair for me to sit at one of the empty tables. Thank you! My hibiscus+lemongrass+ ginger root 'Rosella Tonic' iced tea was refreshing. What would've taken my hot chocolate (made with a chocolate sauce) to the next level would've been a darker chocolate kind. But the barista zhuzhed up my drink with a pattern like it was coffee. Thank you again!

Feels like light on the stomach, being gluten free was also a plus!!! I had the famous Ricotta and Berry toast and my sister had the Grilled shrimp bowl we also ordered Buffalo Parm garlic wings which was to die for!! Their lattes are also amazing and flavorful. Our server, Maggie was very attentive. She sees to it that we get what we need. She makes us feel at home. Wish this place was bigger because a lot of people are willing to wait hours in line! We will definitely be back to try other food menu they have!!

Today we lucked into a table for a late Valentine's Day lunch! Definitely a cute and modern cafe with comfortable seating. Waitress and the rest of the staff were excellent. They had a nice selection of specials on top of a solid menu. We started with the Garlic Parmesan wings, they were tremendous! They were crisp and juicy and loaded up with delicious toppings! My wife enjoyed an Asian noodle salad. I loved the poached egg dish that featured Hollandaise, smoked salmon, and was served on a Portuguese muffin. Really nicely prepared! Unsweetened tea was also good. We look forward to returning!
