We've been here a couple of times and the food has always been very good. We went back on Sunday evening for dinner and although it wasn't busy, our server didn't seem interested in us. Our water glasses never got refilled and there was another issue we inquired about that was not resolved. In all fairness, the previous week when we were there for brunch the owner was sitting g at the table next to us and we were well taken care of. We're on the fence about returning. read more

Went for my birthday dinner. Service was pretty neglectful and not the friendliest. Not to mention the train the comes through and blows its horn right at the patio area. Food was ok but the adding on the tip to the bill without getting a choice when you feel like your service wasn't good is just not fair. read more

Highly anticipated our dinner last night. Started out great with perfect martinis and calimari. My wife ordered the eggplant parm to share with a friend in our party. The portion was HUGE. The dish itself was over salted, no deep flavors of baked eggplant and tomato. On the other hand, my halibut and faro dish was so SALTY that I couldn't eat most of it. I had to scrape off all the sauce and tried to just eat the fish. Probably the most awful fish preparation I ever had. The waiter did offer to replace it, but I didn't want to disrupt the meal for our friends. Deserts were ok. Nothing special. My 2 star rating is generous. Plan on never going back. read more

Excellent and creative food, wonderful staff, but the music is not conducive to conversation while dining. They need to work on a more pleasant atmosphere. Otherwise a five star review. Gerry the waiter is especially good. And they will solve the music issue if you ask read more

The three stars are for the good food. Had to take away two stars as we chose to dine in and boy was it a disaster! First the good - loved the baked Brie and the lamb tenderloin. The panna cotta was not up to mark and kale with quinoa salad wasn't impressive either. We reserved 2 days ahead and they sat us at an outdoor table in an awkward corner with one door leading into the restaurant the other into a restroom! The foot traffic and being bumped into was appalling. The deck also had lots of flies and other bugs plus serious cobwebs across the fans and walls. Oh MY!! The hostess listened to our complaint and walked way promising to see if she can do something (but obviously didnt) Make sure to ask for a table that is not on the deck. All four tables are sure to ruin your dining experience. Ideally no one should be seated here. read more

The server was very attentive and friendly, but the food was horrible. Felt bad for the wait staff. Wasn't that busy and waited an hour to get our food. When it came out, Olive Garden was better (and I don't even eat at OG). Had to eat it because we were so hungry, but wouldn't have even feed it to our dogs. Will never go back with all the other good options in MH. read more

A couple friends and I went to Odeum for lunch last week. We were very happy with our entrees; Eggplant Parmesan, Meatball Sandwich and Odeum Gyro. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable. What RUINED our experience is the fact that Odeum is now adding an automatic Service Fee of 20% on the bill. That doesn't include the tip. My companion said that "she will NOT be back" because she really is offended by the additional service fee. My suggestion to the owner of Odeum; get rid of the service fee and increase the price of your entrees by a dollar or two. I know things have been rough for all small businesses but having a mandatory service fee is NOT the way to encourage customers to come back. read more

Odeum is a top flight restaurant.. there is no ifs ands or buts about it. Its very easy for guests to nit pick things. And of course no place is perfect. But chef Sal is one if not the most talented chef in the Bay Area. And the food served at Odeum is probably some of the best I have ever had. It's a staple in Morgan Hill. As it should be. read more

We love this place! We are a senior couple heading south and Morgan hill is our pit stop. We order their appetizers and small plates to avoid left overs and waste. We sat outside listening to a perfect mellow soundtrack of music. Juanita our waitress was attentive and enthusiastic. $$ Cocktails but very satisfying. read more

Thank you Odeum for such great food and wonderful service! I made reservations for a party of 11 people at lunchtime. I'm so glad that Odeum was so accommodating to us. I was able to preorder all of the entrees ahead of time. I arrived at Odeum a bit before my reservation time to ensure the dishes would come out promptly. Odeum kept to their promise! While I was waiting for my group to arrive, all of their dishes came out. Everyone in my group arrived a few minutes later and they were excited that the food was out for them. We all enjoyed all of our entrees. I ordered the Pappardelle al Ragu, and it was super tasty. This was the best pasta dish I have every eaten. The pasta had a nice chewy texture. The Ragu was very flavorful and very meaty. It was definitely a filling dish. I decided to order the Chocolate Molten Cake dessert. Again, this was the best chocolate molten cake ever! When I used my fork to cut into the cake, the molten lava started running out. It was super chocolatey and gooey texture. I loved it! Overall, Odeum is a great place to enjoy food with friends in Morgan hill. I'll definitely come back for celebrations. read more

Amaaaazing service and Amaaazzzing food!! It was a Monday and the place was so quaint and cute for a date night. Chicken and mash dish- 10 stars! lamb chop- 10 stars Definitely coming back !!! read more

Odeum is a great restaurant when the kitchen is not overwhelmed with orders and the food actually comes out hot. My husband took me out for an early Valentine's dinner on 2/13 and he was not happy with the temperature of his filet mignon and the sides that accompanied it. I notified our server but she didn't really care about it. I emailed the restaurant about my concern but it's been two weeks now without a reply. This shows me the restaurant does not care about its customers which explains why the server didn't care in the first place either. When you walk into the restaurant, you'll notice that they don't have any areas to keep the food warm. The plates are passed from the kitchen over the bar counter and it's not always ran to the table immediately. This may explain why the food got to our table cold. read more

I've been here a few times and normally it is pretty decent. Yesterday my boyfriend and I went for lunch and it was just horrible. Water refills were next to none, service was slow and did I mention I never got my lunch We got the hummus appetizer and the clam chowder soup to start. The pita was burnt and he said just pick out the burnt pita and we will put in a new order. So the new order consisted of cut up pita with no new hummus. Great, now I have a bunch of bread so I ask for a side of tzaziki... that they ccharged me four dollars for. The clam chowder tasted good, but was so watery. 45 minutes later and I still had no lunch, so I had to cancel my order and leave my boyfriend there to finish his lunch as soon as he got it. They didn't offer any compensation and acted like it was no big deal. Very frustrating read more

Been coming to the Odeum for some Time now. I always asked to be seated in Jerry's section. Jerry is excellent. He's one of the best waiters if ever had any restaurant. The food is always awesome. I had the lamb chops and octopus my last visit. The tziki is always very good and fresh. The owner Sal is a Michelin star chef and always has good food coming out of this place. Definitely one of my go to's. read more

First attempt to eat here was cut short by an early unannounced closing. Second try yielded mix results. This is an upscale spot. Pricey and gourmet oriented. Everything seemed over ambitiously cooked. Sauces that just weren't tasty, looks featured over substance and a little attitude. My wife thought hers was very good but my fish wasn't. read more

If you are looking for quality ingredients in your food, this is the place to be! We had a group of four for lunch. The place is a little hard to find for me because it was my first time in this area. I really enjoyed the pizzas that they have here. (My friends' orders) Also, the "Solmos" was fantastic! (crusted Canadian salmon over organic tomato, cucumber, Gaeta olives, feta, baby lettuce) The salmon was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was very flavourful. Both the ambience and the service were excellent. We felt welcome. Odeum has a little private parking lot. Customers can also park on the side of the road too. I was able to find a parking space on the street on a thursday at 12:30 noon. Will definitely revisit! read more

My wife stumbled on this place one night. Great find a little off the beaten path. You could smell great food walking up to the building. The entrance is a little hard to find, we tried a few different ways in until we finally found the entrance. We saw other folks having the same problem throughout the night. It's in a great newly designed LEED certified reclaimed grainery. Started with fava bean pureed soup which was pretty good. Grilled octopus was fantastic, paired with escarole and beans with chili flake. Definitely recommend getting the octopus. We also tried some of the avocado dip with grilled flat bread. Both were very good, the flatbreads are a little addictive. Hard to stop eating those! I had the salmon in a garlic, sesame seed crust with mushrooms and pan-fried gnocchi. Fish was cooked perfectly and very tasty. My wife got the fettuccine with pesto and rock shrimp which was also good, but drenched in pesto, so a little overwhelming. We ended sharing a trio of gelato which was served on meringues, not bad, but nothing too special. For a total shot in the dark though, we were very pleased. They also have a little courtyard for outside seating which will be really nice when the weather gets warmer. read more

Lovely surprise after you think the GPS got you lost once again.... On a way to Paso Robles we stopped here after reading great reviews on Yelp. The outside patio was lovely, weather could not be better and the food fresh with great service- I was very pleased. For lunch we had the soup of the day (potato leak) and the Med salad then had chicken gyros- everything was made to order with fresh ingredients and the gyros are HUGE (enough to share for two). Greek beer for refreshment- what else can you ask for on your Labor weekend start? read more

Excellent food, a warm and inviting team, and great outdoor brunch in a nice location. By far my favorite restaurant in the area.

So I have been here 5 times and it is such a great place. I went to the Sunday brunch and had the best chicken waffles. It was made with artichokes , truffle oil, olives and this amazing sauce. I have been here for my birthday for the last 3 years . I love the flavors they have, but I would like bottomless mimosas as 10 bucks a glass gets expensive . read more

Amazing chef prepared outstanding food. Great wines. Expensive but worth it for experience.

Excellent food and ambiance. Beware of 20% "surcharge" listed on menu, regardless of party size. You'll tip 40% if you miss it.

Some of the best food in Morgan Hill, and one of the better Mediterranean restaurants I've been to. The atmosphere is quiet, but still allows for vivid conversation. Wait staff was friendly, but I would recommend getting there early to avoid the dinner rush. Meals range from $14-50 and plates are of about average size. I ordered the lamb which, although a bit gamey, was very well done and tasted quite good. Go here on a fancy dinner date to impress the person you're with, but larger parties may want to go elsewhere due to the small space. read more

Odeum provides a culinary experience that I think is just plain hard to find in the Bay Area or really anywhere. The service, ambience, and most importantly food surpasses the majority of restaurants I've been to in the area and undoubtedly in Morgan Hill. The unexpected location is the first thing that draws a positive feel - dressed in beautiful, rustic touches of charm, the industrial building where Odeum carved it's little nook is intimate and unique. As you enter there's this really cute outdoor seating area where a nearby tree is draped in lights. So cute - once we saw a rehearsal dinner taking place there and it was perfect. I am under the impression that you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu at Odeum. I also think that few places offer the variety and novelty of menu offerings that Odeum has. I think having a meal here is a real treat - it seems thoughtful and prepared with TLC. From brunch to lunch to dinner, I'm always excited to try something new. The owners are so friendly and down-to-earth. The staff is experienced and friendly and you feel very well taken care of. read more

Was there last night for drinks then dinner on the patio. We went there several years ago but hadn't been back since since it is pricey. Ambiance was swanky and fun and had a good buzz about it. Love the exposed brick, historic site and all the lights. The bar is small but the drinks were tasty. I had the Acai Sling that was tart and tasty. On the patio with all the candles, strung lights and fire place features created a fun backyard intimate, cozy feeling. The staff and our food server were very accommodating, kind and prompt. The food server skillfully recited all of the specials from memory and was so helpful. The food was delicious and interesting with huge portions. Overall it was a fantastic and wonderful experience. Can't wait to come back to try more dishes! read more

I loved everything about Odeum..the ambience the food and overall experience. I made reservations and expected those reservations to be met...unfortunately they were not . I invited a friend so she would experience what I have in the past. In such reservation I chose to sit inside and appreciate that was an option..and was excited for my friend to see this place from the inside as I had described to her. Shortly after we were sat Outside, I asked my waitress if she could possibly check if we could sit inside. She didn't even look inside and told us there was nothing. About a minute or two later I saw our same waitress lead not one, but two parties of two people and sat them inside. My friend also noticed and advised me to ask again..I told her we would just have to come back another day because Odeum would be worth it. After my food came out, and it wasn't what I ordered I really felt the quality of Odeum was just not the same any longer and fear that I just may not even go back. There are definitely other very nice places in Downtown MH that will provide outstanding service. read more

So far, never be disappointed. We came here for dinner couple times and we enjoy their food and presentation. We love their quartet - flat bread with 4 kinds of dipping. Their entree is pretty good too. Today we would try their Sunday brunch. We ordered Chicken&Waffle and first bite was just ummm....yum !! Crispy juicy chicken with waffle and their sauce goes well together. Another dish we tried is Chicken gyro. It's also good - fresh ingredients, good portion and tasty. Service is good as always. Will come back to try another dish. Ps. Haymaker Sauvignon blanc is excellent pairing with these dishes. read more

Simply wow! The best Mediterranean dinner I ever had. Don't rely on the online menu from Yelp. The menu had changed. The restaurant is gorgeous. Beautiful indoor and outdoor seating. The person helping us was very knowledgeable about the various specials and dishes. He was able to pull in a little bit of what I liked from their old menu to have the chef incorporate with the dish on their new menu. The presentation of food was good. The drinks were amazing too! Amazing food! The staff was extremely friendly and professional. I highly recommend the PORK CHOP SALTIMBOCCA. Absolutely delicious!!!!

It used to be our go-to restaurant for special occasions. Until they offered a reservation 15 minutes before their closing time without telling us about it. And gave us 5 minutes to order food - no dessert, of course, because they wanted to go home on time. And served the darkest (=burnt) lamb chops I have ever had. And tried to add a hefty gratuity without a heads-up. Yes, they did sell us food, but not the experience that you can expect for this price. read more
