Salmon (Solmos) dish was incredible, trout was delicious, can't go wrong with the crack bread, and garlic soup (special) was amazing to dip the bread in. James K (our server) was awesome, excellent service. Will be back again for dinner! read more

We're regulars. It's so worth the drive from San Jose. They have a very eclectic menu. There's really something for everyone including kids! I can't say I have a favorite because every meal I've had there is like an outer body experience. Every course is like a gem. From starters to desserts...you can't go wrong. ...and Veronica! She's an all-star. There with a big fat smile, never crowding you but when you need something, Wala! There she is! She is an absolute professional at her craft and she should be the one that trains everyone In terms of providing the very best customer service on planet earth! Go! Ask for Veronica, grab a cocktail, order something (doesn't matter what!), leave room for dessert... you'll become a regular too! read more

A Foodies heaven!! I have been to many restaurants but this one just nailed it. Let's start with James he was our very friendly and knowledgable waiter. His suggestions helped make our dinners incredible! We had brunch and returned for dinner that same night. The filet mignon will be in your top 3. I would say it's the best I have ever had. Honestly everything was amazing!!! Thanks James! read more

Food-5 Service-3 Venue-outside 5, plus they allow dogs Pricey-$$ Drinks- 4 Food was good, and had lovely space outdoors for a bday brunch. The service was slow outside and the food got cold by the time the suryup and ketchup for got to us. We also had to keep asking for water re fills. I'll give it another shot since we were a large party, but some room for improvement on the service side to make it 5 stars, even though they were all very nice. Also it's pretty pricey, bill came out to about $80+ per couple for brunch and the girls werent even drinking. read more

Food and ambiance were great! Only complaint is that they didn't have any of the wine we wanted. Tried for 2 and finally the 3rd bottle we picked they had. Other than that, it was great. read more

We came at 1:45 to be told that we "better hurry up because we only have 15 to decide what to order". The hostess was completely bent because she had to put 2 lunch menus back together for us. One waitress came, she was nice but never returned. If you're in a hurry, then service us faster?? The next waitress was very nice. When food showed up, Fruit flies were everywhere!!! At the end the owner showed up at the table, NOT to say hi, just to take (briskly) our signed ticket. He was VERY RUDE!!!! read more

Good food but they closed Ada access to the elevator early. I had trouble getting out

This is probably the last time we give them a chance. Past couple years service has degraded. Super slow and food comes out disjointed. This time it hit the skids. Reservations for four 1:30 showed up a little early. Appetizers came out about 30 minutes after ordering. And then an hour and a half later (after 3pm). we still did not have our food. Trying to inquire and ask for a manager the manager and staff pretended to not even noticed us, and he was too busy to even discuss. Not an apology, nothing. Just ignored as he hustled behind the counter without acknowledgment that there was a problem. They told us it was gonna be another 40 minutes, no way! We left and with past experiences we will not be back read more

The high-end dining options in Morgan Hill are few. This place has a good vibe and is nicely decorated. It's actually pretty cute. It's right next to the train tracks. Directly next to speeding trains that blow the horn right there. We had three trains pass during our meal. Think of that as part of the charm. The food? I'm a foodie and a home cook. While I love fancy dishes, I also recognize the importance of quality comfort foods. I prefer higher quality vs. overly complicated. The Brussel sprouts were perfect. I'd definitely recommend. The beet salad was spectacular. My date loved the chicken and waffles. My pork chop saltimbocca was overcooked and the flavors were just off. The dish just didn't work. My date liked her meal and that was most important. read more

If you like Mediterranean food, you'll like it here. Biggest Gyro I've ever seen. We didn't order dessert but from what I saw, the portion size is big and looked really good. Service was really good too. Servers were attentive without over doing it. Great ambience and great spot all around! read more

WTF??? 20% Service Fee???? Recommend by friends. Server Gerry G was amazing, quick and very tentative! 10/10 Food was good, not great. Party of 8, So we expected tip included But what we got was a service fee of 20%. We asked the host and educated us that it was not the tip but the restaurant service fee. It was allocated by the owner as they see fit. It did not go to the wait staff and was not the tip. So disappointing that a involuntary service fee was charged and it was not the tip at all. If the owner feels they need to increase revenue to balance cost then it needs to be done respectfully. Increase the price! The staff deserve better pay and we as patrons need to be able to allocate our money to the deserving party. The staff!! Will not return! Very disappointed! Great weight staff and extra kudos to Gerry G again!! Amazing guy! read more

Didn't think I'd be back, but gave this place a second chance! Ambiance was wonderful. Chris the waiter was excellent. The main course (specifically two appetizers each as our main course) took 50 minutes to arrive to the table!! When we arrived only 1/3 of the entire restaurants tables were occupied. Literally no excuse for the very long delay. Though a couple of glitches (two different items accidentally brought to the table) overall a very nice experience! read more

I've been to the Odeum twice in two months. First time with a group of six. Food was spectacular! Service horrible! ( I'm still waiting for my drink..) Our second and recent visit last week, and this was on a Tuesday! Group of 5, service was a little better ( hunch-back dude) really tried to cover all the tables. We received our drinks and plates not at once. ( 15-25 minutes apart) and still waiting for my drink.. Food spectacular as always. 1. Food Spectacular! 2. Outside seating was great. 3. Service as always, expect the worst and you'll be satisfied. 4. And the automatic Ding-Ding~ 20% tip without them telling you and having the obligation to tip them again when the bill comes. ( killin' me Smalls) My wife covered the bill for 5 of us, then she tipped them, forgetting the 20% HOOK. Went there for my 44th birthday,...left there for my 45th birthday service was so slow. I'm STILL waiting for my drink.. read more

This place used to be incredible. Over the last 3 - 4 years, the food had gotten very hit or miss and the service has gotten very poor. It's too bad bc this used to be a favorite place of ours. read more

The food is overpriced and not that good. Rib eye was not that good for $67. It was really salty and just okay for the price. My wife ordered Chilean sea bass which was just okay. My buddy ordered the margarita pizza and only ate half of it. His wife ordered eggplant parmesan and did not eat any of it. The bill was $323 which was excessive. Another thing I did not like was an auto service charge of 20 percent was automatically added to the bill which I was not told about. The chairs were really hard and uncomfortable. The service was okay. Also my wife is handicapped and the elevator was not working. There is no ramp for handicapped people at this restaurant. I definitely will not be coming back. read more

As always food was delicious, hence the two stars vs zero stars. This is one of my favorite restaurants because of the the yummy food and drinks but today's service has me seriously reconsidering. I know we're all trying to adjust given these new circumstances but the treatment received today has no excuse. During today's lunch service, we were never once offered water. Once our lunch was finished, they immediately brought out our check. We were looking to order dessert. Our waitress brought out dessert menus but did not tell us dessert was limited to only two options. She did, however, tell us she had to leave. We waited and waited all the while watching multiple servers (including our waitress that supposedly had to go) treat this one couple like VIPs. They literally passed back and forth right by us at least 3-4 times never acknowledging our presence. The replacement waiter then decided to pick up dishes before finally offering the check again. We get it! You didn't want us to sit there any longer but we were looking forward to dessert. The manager finally came out after 10-15 minutes of waiting to tell us the dessert menu was limited and they did not have the dessert we wanted. I finally had had enough and asked for the check. I hate to play the race card but I wonder if it had anything to do with the color of my skin. People of color seemed to have been nonexistent there. read more

I have been here many times with my husband as well as both of us with different family members (parents, cousins, siblings). They have a really nice menu and it's a hidden gem in Morgan Hill. I like that they update their menu based on seasonal ingredients. Sadly, that means sometimes your favorites fall off to rotate something else on the menu. That being said, every time I have been here I have tried a variety of appetizers, mains, salads and desserts and have been very happy! I always look forward to their soups or specials as well! I love the quartet of dips for an appetizer. All of these are delicious but I think the red pepper based dip is my favorite. My favorite dish before they changed for their winter menu was the Sole. Now I would currently say the filet or the risotto with rock shirmp. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu and wine list. I am looking forward to summer and hope they bring back the avocado and strawberry salad from last year! That was my favorite thing! I also want to try this place out for brunch. I heard their bloody mary is amazing! I have also seen people sit at the bar area and just get a pizza and some drinks which would be nice for a more casual date night. read more

I came to this restaurant hoping to have a nice Sunday lunch with my daughter. The waitress took me to our seating and this is what it looked like, a rusty dumpy mess. Food, Service, Ambiance. It's all here. The line cooks all capture the menu items to perfection, Hopefully, this would free the Chef himself to prepare special seasonal plates more often to show his skill. When a Chef is capable to have a reliable team he then can excel and create an establishment to become legendary for our South County. There is one here already. "M". read more

We have never walked out of a restaurant before, but needing to know other languages to understand the ingredients on the menu is definitely a minus. And, the server didn't even know what language we were required to know! The menu doesn't show all of the ingredients for the dish, so if you have dietary requirements (like being a vegetarian), good luck. Our server behaved as if she had never waited tables before and really didn't give us any options. Sitting there made us very uncomfortable. Maybe watching "The Bear" has raised our expectations as to what a good restaurant is about. read more

Really disappointing, I saw the reviews and was excited to try. I waited by the host podium.... waiters walked by..... the hostess walked by ..... everyone just kept ignoring me. Finally a waitress asked if I had been helped, and went and got the same hostess who ignored me. Then when she came up she didn't say sorry nothing just straight into, you have to have a reservation.... they were open for another hour... it was not that busy.... not a good first impression. If you weren't able to seat anyone, why just ignore me? Why not say something right away instead of having me wait there...? Really disappointing, this is Morgan Hill not an exclusive LA club, restaurants should be excited that ppl in the community are trying to keep it local. read more

Dinner last night was a nightmare. Acoustics are horrid in this venue - on top of it, LOUD music is banging, attempting to drown out patrons yelling at each other while trying to hear their table conversation. Food extremely slow from the kitchen (our server revealed many mistakes being made in the kitchen). Prices over inflated. We were charged for items our server told us he would not put on our bill. There was a time a great meal could be enjoyed (still with the horrid acoustics). Beware!! We will not be returning. read more

Atmosphere is nice but this place is such a scam. My 6 oz filet mignon was 3 oz of pure fat...a filet cut should not have fat, just lean meat. When I let the waiter know, he said this isn't the first time it's happened. So they replaced it with a sirloin and called it filet mignon. Didn't they learn from years ago when they served shark and called it "scallops"?! Won't return read more

My second visit to Odeum was a disaster! I won't ever go back. Jerry G was our waiter the first time. He made the dinner memorable. The food was great and the service excellent. So the expensive meal felt worth it. So we returned a few months later in June 2022. What a disaster!! The soup was served cold. We got it re-heated three times!! I ordered the salad on the menu for $25. I requested some protein on it. They had shrimp which I love. I enjoyed the salad. Then came the check. They charged me $26 for 4 shrimp, so my Salad cost me $51 . I inquired if it was a mistake to which they responded "no"! They also added 20% automatically for the tip. And they asked if I wanted to add an additional tip!! For the poor service and cold soup??? They have just lost a repeat customer for price gouging and poor service. Odeum is odious. I am done with it. read more

Great restaurant, great food and drinks. The service is good, the only downside is that is closed between lunch and dinner

Not what we were expecting after things we had heard about Odeum. There's a saying that great service can make up for mediocre food, but great food cannot make up for mediocre service. The latter was true for us during our first ever visit to Odeum. The food was amazing, but the service was very poor. In mu opinion this is what happens when automatic gratuity of 20% is added to EVERY check. The waiters don't have to be good or give good service because they get paid the same no matter what. Amazing food can he found at counter service places so when one dines at a table service place the "experience and the service" is part of the expectation. Waiter didn't know much about the menu and just stood there waiting for us to order. Appetizer and salad didn't come out at the same time even though we asked for them too. At least 15 minutes in between. Then they bring my wife's entree but not mine. Another 10 minutes go by with waiter nowhere in sight so we had to ask someone else where my entree was. Turns out they gave it to another table and no one bothered to tell us. Once it finally arrived it was delicious, but $130 for dinner for two with service like that is not an experience we're likely to repeat. read more

So many thoughts! First, this place is lowkey fancy. Fantastic chef, wide range of food, and the food is solid. My husband is sitting here telling me he'd give it 5 stars because he can't think of anywhere that does anything better. I personally disagree which is why this is my yelp review and not his! Pros: versatile menu, good decor, some menu items are amazing. Friendly staff, great location. Food looks amazing. Great presentation. Never a long wait. Feel good place to be. Cons: salty food! And that's saying something because I'm a salt lover! Expensive! Not sure if the price matches the food. Some food combos are...odd? That's a preference so I didn't dock a star for that. I do appreciate the versatility. We will still go back because my husband loves this place and if this were his review it would be 5 stars. read more

We door dash this place often because my boss loves it. However, it is super expensive on door dash. We finally went there and I have to say, the prices were much better and what I ordered was amazing. I liked the Wienerschnitzel and OMG! A punch in the mouth. It was so dang good that we went back and get it again! It is not on the lunch door dash menu so if you want it, you should go there. It really is amazing. read more

By the time we got there it was past 8.30pm. We sat outside, the whole ambiance was beautiful. I had ordered polipo ( charred Spanish octopus) but seriously you can't go wrong with anything you pick. Every dish our family ordered was simply delicious. If you are looking for a quick grab and go, this is not the place. They do take sme time, which you won't regret once you taste the food. Perfect place for date nights. Also there are no children menu. We will be coming back for sure. read more

Good food and friendly, fast service! Plenty of seating inside and out, heaters make it cozy outside too.

We went here for my friends birthday dinner. It is a really cute restaurant with a beautiful patio. I thought the octopus appetizer was one of the the best I've ever had. I loved my gamberi (shrimp) dish and was surprised with how big the portion was. I didn't really care for the burrata salad, it didn't really stand out. I think I actually make a better one. My friends skirt steak arrived with cold mash potatoes, which they promptly fixed but was just alright. Service was a little slow, but the busser was very quick and helped out a lot. Overall, it was a good dinner. I'll definitely be back for the grilled octopus :) read more

Our party of four shared spanakopita, calamari, gyro pizza, and the fish special. The calamari was my favorite. The spanakopita was good but I thought the portion size was pretty stingy. The gyro pizza was interesting. I didn't like the fish special because it was a bit salty. My mom's ginger beer was refreshing. However, despite some misses on the food, I'm still a fan because it's been a while since I've experienced such stellar service in a restaurant. Service alone actually deserves five star -- friendly, welcoming, professional, proactive. read more

Very good food and drinks but pricey. They have really very creative and tasty food. We ordered 2 appetizers, salads and one pizza. All were great. I only give them 4 out if 5 because of the price. The atmosphere was also a plus and enjoyable and our waiter was very nice and respectful. read more

Odeum did not meet our expectations this time we have gone there twice before. They changed the menu. Online menu isn't what they serve and I am not a meat eater only chicken so there were very limited options for us. The service was so slow. We were seated 25 minutes later than our reservation. They brought all the entrees one at a time rather than getting it all together so we can have dinner together instead of one at a time . This would be the last time we would be going there. read more

Went there for dinner yesterday. Got seated next to speaker playing loud EDM music. When I asked for it to be turned down, the server said the song is almost done. Over the loud noise, the server took out order without any offer to answer questions or offer suggestions. We ordered a bottle of wine. When he brought it over just poured it left. The octopus appetizer was one tentacle with some canned vegetables literally slammed on the table by the server. The main entrees were just as disappointing. The server not once checked back, and just brought the check out while we still eating. Ofcourse the 20% service charge explained the entire experience. Must have picked up their Michelin star at the pawn shop. read more
