I was going through High point and a friend told me to stop in and grab lunch and boy am I glad that I did. I got the recommended mixed shawarma platter and the flavors were all there! The meat was tender and delicious and the veggies were cooked perfectly. They were unfortunately out of garlic sauce so I can't wait to go back and try it all again bathed in garlic sauce. There was a bit of wait for food as I came in for takeout at the busy lunch hour but they were very forthcoming with the wait time and made sure it was okay before I placed my order. Can't wait to go back! read more

Holy crap, I've found a new must go place. I have to admit, the 100 top places to eat made me go here, but eating here makes me want to continue to eat here! We came in around 5:30pm on a Friday and it was just starting to get busy. We were seated right away and the atmosphere was lively! The harsh overheads were a little like whew in the beginning but immediately forgotten. We got two mocktails: a blueberry elderflower one and a citrus elderflower one. Very nice! Also the hummus with tomato, cucumber and olives: this is where the party started. The hummus was so smooth and flavorful, not overwhelmingly tahini and the pita! THE PITA! So soft and the perfect fluff. I immediately told my husband 'do not let them take the plate' because I was ready to clean all that hummus off (they didn't try). We both are vegetarians so did falafel shawarmas, a side of fries and a side of pickles. Let's start with the shawarma! The falafel was perfection: fluffy and mixed with well treated veggies, served over rice that was so deliciously flavorful: some veggies, some seasoning! I skipped a lot of my rice because I had MORE PITA!! The Greek salad was bomb: crunchy, fresh and no weird salad pieces you sometimes get in places. I definitely rocked my pickles with the falafel and hummus and pita....just wow. I have no idea how they make them so perfectly crunchy and tart, but I highly recommend for any entree. The Greek house dressing=perfect. Fries were great and tbh we ordered too much food, so we did a bit of calculations on stomach capacity and the fries were left behind. That being said I'm already planning my next order and fries are on it so take it as you will. There's also a piece of baklava cheesecake waiting for my on the kitchen table; couldn't pass it up, and couldn't eat it there. The place was on a wait by the time we left, and tbh super worth it. The owners (I think) came by to ask how we were and also to ask about adding a table to the table next to us, (we were totally fine!!) but what a kind thing to do! Already planning our next trip, and I'm counting the minutes until I feel ready to have that cheesecake!! read more

Still one of the best meals and service in town! We had yet another amazing dinner at Odeh's tonight. This time we were lucky enough to catch some of our favorite specials! First off their red sangria is delicious so I have to get a glass of that on the days they're $5. And even some days when it isn't. It just isn't optional when it's $5. We also decided to spring for the calamari appetizer when we heard it was on the daily specials menu. We've seen it posted on their Instagram a number of times but haven't had the chance to try it yet. It was just as good as it looks! Perfect texture and the breading was delicious. I really enjoyed the tomato based sauce that was served with it. Next up were salads and they're always amazing. Don't let the pictures fool you, these salads are huge! And they're just the side salad. I love that they served them before the meal so I'm not trying to eat it along with my entree. The Greek salad comes with all the fixings and the creamy Greek dressing is definitely my favorite. It's very rare that I am able to finish the whole salad. Today was no exception but I was close! Now for the main feature! I had the beef tenderloin with rosemary mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes with my favorite choice of side, their red pepper hummus and pita. This is one heck of a meal! The beef was cooked perfectly and the mushroom sauce was so tasty! And of course it is hard to beat good mashed potatoes. I appreciate that they used the pita to keep the gravy from running into the hummus. It worked very well! Also worth noting, I still have another decent sized serving for lunch tomorrow. My husband had the yellowfin tuna with pineapple mango salsa and the sweet potato waffle fries, which are another favorite of ours. He was kind enough to share a few bites with me and the tuna was delicious as well. It had lots of flavor and the salsa was a nice touch. The seasonings and flavors of the salsa all worked very well together. All in all, I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order here. From the food to the amazing service we have received from everyone we have encountered both with dining in and carrying out, it is no question why this place has the ratings they do. Thanks again for another wonderful meal, Odeh's! I'm sure we'll see you again soon. ;) read more

Great food, never had a bad meal here. This was actually the first time we've eaten inside since they remodeled/extended the building. It's a much larger room with bar with many seating options. The food...good as always. I've always been a sucker for their gyro shawarma - super tender, flavorful, and has a great kick (if you order the spicy). The platter comes with two sides and they will let you substitute. The sauces are great and made in house, cucumber and ranch are my favorites there. Great staff, and overall restaurant, highly recommend. read more

Great food in a family atmosphere. Portions are generous and tasty. We have been here before so we know what we like, but still try something new every time. Would have given them five stars but the wait staff always seems overwhelmed so service suffers somewhat. read more

What an amazing experience and meal! I found myself at Odeh's after a long day of work and lemme tell you, it put a smile on my face. I was greeted politely and kindly and I immediately felt at home. The service was spectacular. I chatted with the bartender, who's name starts with a C. Lol I waited to long to write my review that I forgot her name (forgive me!!) but she was amazing. Gave excellent suggestions and kept me company at an empty bar. As far as drinks, the rum runner was delightfully sweet and reminded me of the beach. She recommended it for it being one of the best bang for your buck. I then had the Mai tai. First time ever having this classic drink and I wasn't let down. Food: the falafel was OUT OF THIS WORLD. It was obvious it was homemade and freshly fried. Falafel has been one of my favorites for years and this was the best I've ever had. I got the mixed shawarma platter to go and it was just as yummy. Immaculate flavors. For dessert, (not pictured), I got the Mediterranean cheesecake topped with strawberries. Omg. Amazing. This will definitely become a regular in my routine... hmm... might have to go tonight read more

This was our first time here at it did not disappoint! When you walk in you are greeted with a few friendly "Hello and Welcome" by the staff up front. We were greeted by the host and sat immediately. The server came over right away and asked if we would like water or any other beverages. I looked over the menu and they have a huge selection of sandwiches and pitas as well as salads and desserts. The special was a lamb shank that looked incredible at a near by table. I ended up getting the Ka platter. It came with three super tender and flavorful "meatballs" served on top of pita bread and sautéed onions and peppers. The two sides I chose were the Greek salad with their signature dressing and Baba ghanoush. I was blown away by the portions and how delish everything was! The salad has so much feta but wasn't overpowered. The baba ghanoush was the creamiest and best I have ever had. I cannot wait to go back asap! read more

My favorite place to eat in the High Point area. Since I moved away, I get excited when I'm able to visit for a meal here. Knocking one star for the lackluster service recently. Didn't catch her name since she never introduced herself, however she is in her late teens/early 20s and I gathered that her mom works there too (was bartending at the time). I would have appreciated at least a smile and a positive attitude, but I did not feel like we received any hospitality whatsoever. read more

Just another entry from another outstanding lunch! The pizzas are fairly new along with the calzones. I am here to make sure you all know you will not find pizza like this anywhere in the Triad. The prime rib pizza is "off the chain" Amazing! The flavors explode in your mouth, due to the way he tops the pizza with herbs and a light horseradish sauce. It makes this pizza so delicious. The crust is cooked to perfection Not too doughy and crisp enough. The last time we were here my wife had the margarita pizza and it was also amazing and also not traditional, due to his sauces and spices. That's why you have to come here to try this pizza for sure!! I was so caught up with the pizza I forgot to mention the pasta dish that my friend ordered. She is now an Odeh's groupie. The sauce is how he makes these dishes so wonderful. The seasoning and fresh ingredients and size of this serving will blow you away. Plan on getting a to go box when the server brings the dish so you save room for some of their amazing homemade desserts. Well done Odeh!! read more

Great local Mediterranean cuisine in high point. The atmosphere is busy but not chaotic. Service is impeccable. I ordered the shawarma plate and was very impressed by the flavours. I'm giving Odeh's 4 stars for the incredible food! I ordered the grilled chicken shish kabob meal which delightfully came which a steak kabob as well that was so tender and delicious! Platter came with two sides and pita with tzatziki sauce (my fav)! Had some wine and ordered the baklava sampler to go! The service was decent. It did take a little bit to get drinks, but once food was served our server became more attentive. The bar looked nice and the only thing that would have put them at a 5 in my opinion was the restaurant interior. It felt more like a fast food style Greek spot vs a sit down dinner vibe. But the food was delicious! read more

I love Odeh's. This restaurant has a 5 star rating for a reason. The food is great, and they are always mixing it up with specials. This was my first time getting to eat inside this local gem. It's a bit bit far from my house, but as I was coming to HP anyway I knew we were going to stop in for lunch. We have been getting takeout during pandemic, but nice to get the full experience. Noticed they have added outside seating, which was a smart call. I have heard amazing things about the Middle Eastern Baked Chicken special. So when it was available, I knew that's what I was ordering. The chicken is marinated in authentic middle eastern spice blend and the dish came with their new middle eastern rice. I was a yellow spiced rice with raisin and nut inclusions. A different taste, but I liked it. It gave it a little sweetness and nice crunch. You also get a big side salad, pita, and cucumber sauce. The chicken was super tender, fell right off the bone. And the flavor with all those spices was divine. I of course had left overs for the next day. My husband got the the Kafta pita (Grilled ground beef mixed with onion, parsley, Odeh's mixed spices, lettuce, tomato, onion, and tahini sauce) with salad and hummus. I nabbed a bite and it was also delicious. Their kafta is great. The meat with all those yummy spices and herbs is just great. The owner Odeh came to our table to see how everything was. You can tell he is very involved in his restaurant, which I believe (on top of real good food) is why it's has a five star rating. Our visit inspired us to place a large catering order a few days later for a recent family gathering. The amount of food was just crazy and everyone raving about how good everything was. In addition to taste, the presentation was also spectacular. We had leftovers for days and the food held up. We got Hummus, Baba ganoush, Rice, Shawarma /lamb gyro , Chicken/beef kabobs, Salad, Cucumber sauce , Tahini, Pita, Baklava cheesecake, and Key lime pie. Have never gotten desserts from Odeh's but glad I did! Please consider Odeh's for your next catered affair. You guests will be pleased! read more

Though it took us a second to find the entrance (blame us for not reading the signs right :P), we got to Odeh's just before closing time. But to the staff's credit, no one rushed us or made us feel unwelcome. We ordered the couple's special that day which was the Mahi Mahi Gyro on Pita. We chose the sides of sweet potato waffle fries with hummus. I like my food a little spicy so we asked for their house-made hot sauces. Let me tell you, the hot sauces were amazing! And so was the Gyro and the sweet potato fries. We came in for a quick bit, so it was a great pick, although a little messy to eat. Would want to visit again and try another dish soon. read more

We got take out as we know how busy it gets Saturdays for dinner. Tasty and convenient. Will go back.

No surprise here. Still 5 stars! After several superb dinner visits, I'm back to give five stars once again for a standout lunch. Think about this - what restaurant in Greensboro do you know that has over 200 reviews and still has 5 stars?! Let's let that sink in. It's not for nothing - Odeh's is 5 stars across the board! Came in for lunch today as I work close by, and those shawarma cravings are some that must be satiated. The menu is expansive and creative, I wish I was more willing to branch away from my beloved mixed shawarma platter... but alas, today was not that day! Fluffy, fragrant rice, piled high with wonderfully seasoned chicken and beef. NO shortness of flavor. The onions and peppers are cooked soft, which I really like. The portion is huge and comes with a little salad on the side and a generous serving of pita! The Greek dressing is clearly made in house, it's fresh, tangy and delicious. The best way to dive in to this affordable platter with a behemoth of a portion? I pile the pita with rice, meat, and veggies. As much as it will possibly hold. Struggle to hold it together and dunk it in the fresh tahini sauce. Take a bite with all the cohesive parts and just savor all these beautiful flavors joining together in perfect harmony. The flavors in this shawarma will live inside your brain, haunting your tastebuds until you fatefully return. That's just how it goes - I don't make the rules. Truly everything I've had here is fresh and of the highest caliber as far as quality. They offer authentic Mediterranean options, but there are some less adventurous items on the menu if that's more your speed. My server was Olympia today and what a sweet gal she is! She is so bubbly and upbeat, very thorough and all together lovely. Another highlight of my lunch is what I assume to be the son of the owner paying a visit to my table! He looks to be about 5-6, but ever so well mannered and absolutely adorable, in his Odeh's t-shirt none the less! He came to bring me some extra napkins and make sure I was enjoying my meal. He enthusiastically thanked me for visiting as I left. This was a sweet reminder that it's worthwhile to support local, family-owned businesses. This restaurant and their food are clearly at the heart of their family, and they really treat you like you're a part of it when you visit. 10 stars, one of the best establishments in the area! read more

I had been wanting to go here for so long but the open hours and my schedule had never worked out until this weekend. The staff is lovely and welcoming. Tried Odeh's for lunch while working in High Point. Food was good and if I lived closer or am in the area again, I would return. We got there early at 11:30 before the lunch crowd and it still took an hour, so if you are looking for a quick lunch place this is not it. By the time we left at 12:30 it was packed out. The music was a tad too loud during our visit. There is a full bar, so it would be a great date night spot. I had the chicken kabob (medium spicy) with hummus & Greek salad, the raspberry limeade mocktail, and took a slice of blueberry lemon cake to go. The chicken kabob was tender and the flavor was great. I also really liked the raspberry limeade. Personally, I still prefer Sarah's Kabob Shop in Greensboro although I have eaten there several times compared to just one time for Odeh's so it isn't an entirely fair comparison. Odeh's wins out for the actual kabob, but I feel like Sarah's does better with the sides & salad dressing. Sarah's prices are hard to beat and food is much faster, but it is also a more casual place so it really depends on your own personal preferences. read more

What could be better than your first visit to Odeh's? Your 2nd! This place does not have disappoint in their vocabulary. The staff is phenomenal and hard working. My wife and I split a skewer platter and again the chicken was perfect. Very moist and flavorful. Same with the steak. If you haven't had the rosemary fries, shame on you! Order them, eat them, love them. We got an extra side of the red pepper hummus and it was great. Had a little bit of heat which I love. This is a great spot for Mediterranean food. It's a small and cozy place run very warmly by the owner Odeh. The food was excellent and the service was even better. We ordered falafel and they were very crispy and well made. We ended up ordering it again as they were so delicious. The gyro platter and on pita were delicious and made to taste. We requested it to be spicy and it was very much according to our taste! The owner came up a few times to check in on us and inquire about the food, and we saw him doing that with all the customers. The servers did the same and it elevated the whole experience. Odeh also offered candies to my lil one for finishing his food. A nice touch! We would definitely revisit as this place has excellent food and excellent ppl running it. read more

I wanted to try Odeh's based on reviews from my fellow Yelpers. I'm a sucker for good mediterranean/middle eastern food so I was eager to go, especially when I'm sometimes limited to southern cuisine in the South. Ready to head home after running errands, I ordered the small Middle Eastern Salad (add feta) with falafels and a side of hummus. For a small salad it was huge and filling. I couldn't believe the quantity for the price. The falafels were crispy on the outside; soft and flavorful inside. You could tell they were made in house and not the prepaid disks everyone sells. The side of hummus was creamy and flavorful as well I wish I had gotten a larger side (ate it before taking a pic). I could eat the hummus everyday...so good. They are following COVID protocols during this time so take a mask and try them out. You won't be disappointed. read more

Whenever the craving for great Mediterranean food hits, there's simply no question I'm going to get food from here (as long as it's not a Sunday or Monday when they're closed). My love for Odeh's began at a Yelp event at Goofy Foot that was catered by Odeh's. I knew then and there this would be a lifelong love. The most common item I order from Odeh's is their small Greek salad. Trust me, you do NOT need to order a large. The portion of the small is plenty and then some for one person. I often add an order of falafel to go with my salad. The produce is always fresh and the falafel is crisp and savory. I would also suggest ordering their tahini base baba ganoush, which I often get by the half pound and dip my falafel in. I would also recommend checking out their specials. The middle eastern baked chicken is fantastic. I also had a dish with a mushroom rosemary sauce that was incredible. If you're wondering why there's no photos it's because I'm never patient enough to take them before I dig in. If you love Mediterranean food, you must check this place out! read more
