Very cute and the entire place is a legitimate definition of beer garden. If you are driving through, or back from a long day, it's worth a stop - a slow down - and a chair in the farm-converted field. The atmosphere and fire pits here is definitely the charm. If it's too cold out they have an indoor area that can work for you just as well. The food is limited, but they have a pizza trailer like many beer places allowing you to get your combined beer and pizza fix. May as well kick of those feet on the concrete fire pit rims. read more

Odd Alewives is a funky little brewery serving up farm fresh beers in Waldoboro ME. Their outdoor space is vast and absolutely delightful to hang out in. It's a kid friendly, farm feel with plenty of beer, pizza and cider to please any palate. It is predominantly a self serve atmosphere, with beers/ pizzas ordered at the indoor beer bar and then they give you a buzzer to pick up your fresh hot pizza right at the window. It's a well run and efficient system. It was a very relaxing space to hang out and enjoy dinner/ a beer or two. read more

Trust the reviews! I found out about this brewery through the Down East Magazine. I saved it on my phone and decided to stop by one day on our way to Rockland. Located in what seems to be the middle of nowhere, this brewery is exactly our type of place; they had everything we look for in a brewery, including space. I love breweries, but I hate crowded breweries where you're shoulder to shoulder with other customers. Odd Alewives has the most spacious outdoor area -- with countless tables, benches, and lawn chairs -- where you feel like you're in someone's backyard. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and pet-friendly! The beers themselves were delicious. Their stout was phenomenal. Service was also top-notch. These days its not that easy to find a nice place to grab a beer and relax without sipping through a mask. As we traversed north on US1 though there was a brewery we wanted to try, Odd Alewives Farm and Brewery. It wasn't too hard to find, and just a little off the main route. We walked into a nice farm like building and ordered our beers. It was nice customer service and friendly as all heck. We went out back where there was a large spacious area. and grabbed a couple chairs. The place was great with different types of hangout areas with a firepit for some or some reclined chairs like we grabbed. We could look out over a field to be side and some woods to the other. Not to mention excellent people watching in-between. We went back for a second round, being sure to try a couple different varietals of suds. There were some really tasty options. They served food as well, but we had a plan for dinner already so we resisted. Maybe next time though. read more

We found this place 5 minutes from were were staying in ME. It was a great find for craft beers. The brewery sits inside a 150+ year old barn. The brewery has been there for 5+ years but you'll never know it by how well it's been kept up. Big bar, ample seating inside as well as a huge big back yard with a firepit. They have a brick pizza oven on the grounds with many choices. There wasn't one craft beer we didn't enjoy. We even picked up a four pack with 2 of the brewery glasses to take home. Would have loved to have taken more beer but our cooler was full lol. read more

You order at the bar and serve yourself. They give you a pager to let you know when your pizza is ready to pick up. You bus your own tables. This place is a hidden gem! The staff is super friendly, the beer is great, and the wood fire pizza is delicious. There is local wine as well and non-alcoholic beverages if beer isn't your thing. We built our own pizza: red sauce, pulled pork shoulder, pickles, with an orange drizzle finishing. It was amazing! We're definitely visiting again when in the area. read more

From light to dark, the Ales are wonderful and flavored with the essences of the many botanicals that are grown on the farm. In the warmer weather, there are visiting Damariscotta oyster farmers shucking an endless stream of tasty treats on the patio. Visited this spot for pizza and beer ordered three pizzas and two growlers, ordered on the interwebs cause of the covid, excited to taste some good zah! After a long drive, they had a creative drive thru- checked in to pick up our order only to find out, they didn't have enough dough/ran out of dough and couldn't complete our order. Seriously , you do two things , pizza and beer, and you ran out of one, what a bunch of weird doughs!!! Well that sucks, can't blame covid on this kids. They refunded some cash gave us one pizza we ordered and the growlers, the pizza we got was okay, small and underwhelmingly cooked. Driving through town and made a quick turn to check this place out. This is the cutest brewery I've been too. My farm ale was excellent.

I love this brewery so much! The beers are nearly all fantastic and distinct (not true of most craft breweries), with many of the ingredients sourced from the farm that surrounds your picnic table. Today we ordered a flight and I loved the ginger in the Odd Pip, the barnyard funk of the Odd Friend, and the boozy roasted caramel of the Odd Spell. We enjoyed them at the painted tables in the back garden, which was pleasantly full but not crowded. We will be back soon the drink more beer, order one of their incredible-smelling pizzas, and relax among the flowers and barns. read more
