Charming little ice cream shop by the water near the River House Footbridge in Camden. Lots of unique local Maine-inspired flavors to choose from - as well as the usual Mint Chip, Cookie Dough, etc. They had sundaes and milkshakes and other things available. Staff were friendly and prompt. We tried the Cookie Butter and Coffee ice creams and they were rich and creamy but my Coffee was supposed to have toffee and I only had one piece in the entire scoop which was super disappointing. My husband felt his tasted less like cookie butter and more like vanilla. We sat at the adjacent cute patio and enjoyed with our toddler and then walked across the River Street walking bridge. This place is legit!! I thought my order of peanut butter cookie dough was so smooth and creamy. I didn't think it could get much better until I tasted my brother's Wild Maine Blueberry scoop! It was pure bliss! And for comparison, I tried blueberry ice cream at another spot in the area and was underwhelmed. There was no comparison! Such tasty ice cream in a cute beach town! Stopped while driving along Rt 1 on the way to Acadia, and River Ducks was a perfect treat for the long drive. The Maine blueberry and "puffin" peanut butter cookie dough flavors are a fantastic combo, in my experience. My husband tried the moose tracks and the cappucino crunch, which were also delicious. This was a quick stop for us while we were in Camden Maine. It was a very hot day and we needed a little pick me up and noticed that this place had about 15 people in line. The line went very very fast and they had ample seating. I got a cone of Maine blueberry cheesecake ice cream that had huge chunks of blueberries and cheesecake in it and was phenomenal. They're small is a standard cone with two scoops of ice cream, which is way more than I thought I was going to get. Thoroughly enjoyed our stop here. read more

This is an adorable little placed tucked away in a corner. Seating is on an outdoor deck overlooking a little canal, with lots of flowers. The ice cream is good - they serve Hershey brand as well as vanilla/chocolate/twist soft serve. They also have a lot of topping and sauce options. There was no wait on a weekday afternoon. Hershey is good but I save five star reviews for ice cream places for those that have homemade or otherwise unique ice cream. read more

Absolutely adorable little ice cream stand near the police and fire station. The "scooper of the day," I cannot remember her name but she is a sophomore majoring in neuroscience and Spanish was a sweetheart! Ample picnic tables for seating as well tables under umbrellas for those super sunny days. Let me start by saying that the ice cream is pretty good. The issue I have with this place is that They charge five dollars for a soft serve cone. And then if you ask for a sugar cone, they charge a $.75 premium. So, a small sugar cone of soft serve is $5.75. I understand this is Camden Maine. I understand it is expensive. But come on, a premium for a sugar cone? $5.75 for a small soft serve? Go ahead and charge what the market will pay, but this isn't artisanal gelato, it's soft serve. read more

Classic Maine ice cream shop with a massive menu. Definitely take your time and read the entire menu. On this day they had a special for folks from Georgia. They received 2 free scoops. Looks like they change daily. This is located just one block off the main strip. It is very easy to find located right on the river that empties into the bay. There is a small surface lit just opposite the stand. There was plenty of street parking on Thursday. It is outdoor and they only accept CASH! So be prepared. Prices are not outrageous but not really cheap. The flavors were amazing though. I had a hard time deciding. I opted for the sea salt caramel truffles. Fantastic ice cream. My kiddos also tried the milk shakes which were decent. Little less chocolate than I typically prefer but "ok". I really wanted to try the blueberry ice cream. It looked like it had real Maine blueberries inside. This is a wonderful little ice cream stand just what I was looking for on my trip to Camden. This is great little (outside seating only) ice cream stand. It is in the corner of a street and we drove by it twice. Parking can be dicey- but we found parking up the street and walked. During business hours it is a great walk with loads of little shops. They had "state" specials every day and an enormous menu of goodies to pile onto your ice cream. read more
