They have a tiny patio near the front door where you can grab a blanket if you need and hang out while you eat your ice cream. They have additional high top seating around the front of the building as well. There are an incredible amount of options inside so if you have decision paralysis, get readyyyyyy. The staff was very patient while we thought and thought and thought. After careful deliberation, I ordered the Coffee Heath Bar hard serve in a waffle cone (that they make there!!!) and my wife ordered Nana's Ginger in a cup. Both were amazing! The coffee heath was so well made; creamy and dreamy. The ginger was so light and refreshing! I almost switched but the coffee was too good to give up. If you're in Ellsworth and are craving something sweet, head into Morton's Moo! You will not be disappointed.

The reviews and mission at Freya's appeared promising, so I decided to give it a go, especially since the product is made in-house. Unfortunately for our group of four, there was only one flavor of gelato left an hour before closing time (and good for Freya's). My spouse went for that gelato--coffee--while the rest of our group went the sorbetto route. There were four flavors remaining: strawberry, passionfruit, guava, and lime + jasmine. I had tastes of everything, including the gelato. Sorbetto-wise, I was especially impressed with the strawberry, and the passionfruit was a close second. My only nit pick is that the guava was icier than the other three sorbettos, but the flavor was still punchy and refreshing. As for the gelato, it was European quality. Huzzah! I was so mad that I hadn't gone earlier in the day for more of a gelato selection. That taste of coffee really left a good impression. I'm thrilled to report that the folx at Freya's know what they're doing with their gelato and sorbettos. If you're snobby about your gelato, rest assure! You'll be really happy at Freya's.

You would struggle to find a cafe or restaurant with a better view, as this looks out over a harbor that is basically what you'd picture in your head for being in Maine. The menu included buckwheat crepes both sweet and savory and some gelato, so I indulged and got a crepe with gelato on the side. Even the sweet crepes use a buckwheat base, which I liked. The earthy flavor makes a useful contrast with the sweetness. Their house caramel sauce was buttery and toasty in flavor and combined well with bananas, so say nothing of the smooth stracciatella gelato I mixed with it. I couldn't have asked for much more.

The Good: *All their ice cream bases and most add-ins are made from scratch in-house. *Great location along the Belfast Ha'bor Walk. *Small but mighty selection of ice cream and some sorbets. *Housemade waffle cones are the right call. And for $1.50 you can't go wrong. *Blueberry ice cream was fantasticly smooth and filled with fresh Maine Blueberry flavor. *Friendly service *Reasonable prices for a ice cream shop in a touristy area. The Meh: *Seasonal The Ugly: *Street Parking only in Belfast, so be prepared to drive around aimlessly on busier days. Conclusion: Delicious i creams made the right way and at a reasonable price.

We needed some of that creamy goodness at that point, and Wild Cow didn't disappoint. My wife ordered a 2 scoop waffle cone of Maine Blueberry and some type of peanut butter variety. I went with a 2 scoop of Apple Crisp and Almond Toffee. All the flavors were fresh and flavorful, this was quality-made ice cream. No lines to speak of that day, but it was early October for our visit, I'm sure the Wild Cow does a brisk business during the Summer peak. A strong 4 Star rating.
