Always good times here at the harbor. Tons to do, from whale watching, offshore fishing, kayaking, boating, and some good eats as well. Super busy today but it's a Saturday and met up with some friends so what do you expect, right?! I usually only come to hang here mid-week until it cools off and the summer crowds are gone...then the weekends are more chill.

I recently visited Oceanside in June 2024. On the day of check-out, I took a nice early morning stroll over to Oceanside Harbor Village. It was less than 10 mins of walking from where I was staying at to get here. It is a small village, but has a very quaint and intimate vibe to it. It's a local community of businesses offering waterfront dining to sport fishing to stand-up paddle boarding to unique gift shops. Just to name a few... D'Vino Cafe & Wine Bar, Harbor Fish and Chips, Lighthouse Seafood Market, Nana and Pop Pop's Sweet Shop, Rockin' Baja Lobster Coastal Cantina, Tony's Sports Bar and Grill... Helgren's Sportfishing, Oceanside Boat Rentals... Harbor Gift Shop, Wave Original and more. On my way back to the resort, I picked up some breakfast from Tony's Sports Bar and Grill (I will do a separate review on this one soon)... excellent yummy foods and portions were huge... must and will go back for more next time! LOL The most exciting aspect of this harbor village is that it's right along side Oceanside Beach. How cool is that! There is paid parking available. Just a perfect place for family and friends to enjoy quality time and beautiful moments together!

Nice area from r restaurants and some light shopping. Close to the beach as well Dog friendly here and grassy areas. Nice little getaway from the San Diego area. Haven't been here in years and now I am telling myself I need to come here more often. Nice day to just relax by the beach and grab a coffee and snacks at the many nearby restaurants.

What a quaint and cute little harbor to visit in Oceanside! I don't come here often, but each time I do, it always puts a smile on my face! The harbor isn't very big, but it's still nice to look at all of the docked boats and walk along the outskirts. You can shop and dine here, as there are a few restaurants and even a sweets shop! I skipped it this time around but might check it out next visit. If you're looking for a place to calm your mind, take a leisurely stroll around the harbor. Enjoy the sunset if you go in the evening. There are multiple parking lots around so you shouldn't have trouble finding a spot unless there's some kind of event going on. I highly recommend coming here if you haven't already. It would be a great spot for a mini photo shoot for sure! 'Til next time, O-Side!! ;)

I've been making several trips to Camp Pendleton lately and Oceanside Harbor is right next to the entrance off the I-5. I've been staying in the hotels next to this little village and have gotten to know it quite well. The Village (which broke ground in 1964) is a community of businesses located within Oceanside Harbor that includes fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, gift shops and waterfront dining. Many of these places have been around since the early beginnings of this Harbor. There is also free parking if you get there early in the morning (they fill up quick). Oceanside beach is right next to the Village and has bathrooms, fire rings, rinse stations and tables. There are tons of docked sailboats in the Harbor. There are even some locals that even live on these boats. You will see people paddle boarding and kayaking in between the boats. The Village itself has a New England-style to it with several gift shops nestled within a variety of restaurants. There is even a six story mini lighthouse on the end that lights up at night. Nearby vendors offer whale watching, boat rentals, and stand-up paddle boarding experiences. For food, my personal favorite is Rockin Baja Lobster and their amazing seafood tacos and lobster buckets. The Lighthouse Oyster Bar, Joe's Crab Shack and Harbor Fish and Chips also offer seafood. Dominic's has Italian cuisine and Stratford at the Harbor has breakfast. If you are looking for a quick cup of coffee, Nautical Bean Co. opens up for the early risers. Overall, this has been an enjoyable place for me to hang out lately. It's got a lot of character to it and is a great place to chill after a fun day at the beach.

The harbor is a little area where you can walk around, walk over to the beach, rent a boat, go on a boat ride, get a bite to eat, or watch the sea lions frolicking around. There are some shops, coffee places, full restaurants, etc. Plenty of options to choose from. There is some free 2 hour parking, some paid parking, and there is an area right behind the harbor with plenty of free parking. During the holidays there is a holiday boat parade that brings in large crowds. There is also a harbor days festival that gets quite crowded and not easy to find parking so you can park closer to the pier and walk over. There are 2 jettys close by as well, that let you venture out closer to the ocean, walking on the large boulders that make up the Jetty. It can be slippery especially earlier in the morning, so be careful.

    cute!

Oceanside has a nice Harbor Village, very quiet, calm, fun to explore. I came here for the X-mas boat parade, but also during day time to see the seals! Yes, they do have cute seals here, you have to walk a bit to see them, but they are lying in the sun, swim, a fun sight! This was one of my top reasons to check out this area! So you don't have to go to Pier 39 in San Francisco to see seals, Southern California has some, too! The harbor has your regular stores with cheesy souvenirs and not so great restaurants. There's also a coffee shop around, various restrooms, a big parking lot. And a cute lighthouse, another nice attraction for me that gives this harbor village more personality. If you're in Oceanside, check it out, the harbor village is a cute area where you can leisurely stroll, admire the nice views and the seals!

Overall, Oceanside is a very nice community to live in or even just visit for a couple days. There are plenty of outdoor ‍activities such as beaches, public parks with trails to bike or walk and outdoor markets. There is an ample amount of public transportation with the bus system and train. I stayed on a boat in the harbor I did get sea sick but I slept outside on boat it was beautiful weather ! Check out Oceanside see if you dig it ‍

A great place for us to walk and burn some energy.

Oceanside harbor, my childhood home away from home. My dad was a boat mechanic so I was constantly running around this area and it's still fun to hangout there now as an adult. From the great restaurants to the boat charters, this is a great area for friends and family alike. Parking can be hard to come by but otherwise it's an incredible place for a fun day.

My husband's family and I went whale watching on the 4th of July and got to see a ton of dolphins! The boat was nice and roomy. Planning to go again!

Definitely, a nice low key spot to get away from the downtown area of the pier. Yes, they don't have a lot of bars and restaurants like downtown but that's so great abut the harbor. I forget a lot about the harbor and how great it is for me becasue of less people and traffic. Some of my favorite spots at the harbor are the small fishing pier, Rocking Baja Lobster and just walking around the harbor.

Have been a customer for 17 years as have many family members and friends. Checked in, paid my balance by check and they cashed within an hour. Arrived in room to 2 dead cockroaches and a toilet which wouldn't flush. A live roach runs into bathroom and under sink. Told mgr Lily she called maintenance man who should arrive in hour or two. In the mean time, chased 2-3 other cockroaches killed one. Wife flushed other toilet to see if it worked and it overflowed on to floor and shower backed up spewing sewage. The smell was unbearable. Put down towels called manager she said she'd call plumber now. Went to get a glass in the cupboard and found a glass full of syringes. Obviously this place has not been cleaned. BROKEN TOILETS, LIVE AND DEAD COCKROACHES, RAW SEWAGE,SYRINGES were the issues within the first two hours of our family vacation. Plumber arrived and fixed plumbing. Still nobody cleaned bathroom floor or shower. And it reeked of sewage. We asked if anyone was going to clean up the roaches and the manager finally did. Manager tried to get us to stay with discounts and other rooms but they had nothing comparable and we were disgusted and really couldn't see ourselves staying anywhere in this place. We chased a roach and moved a chest of drawers and found RODENT AND COCKROACH FECES (see photo)Final straw was my son finding roaches climbing up from the drain in the shower into the pan. That's it. We never unpacked so we put everything in the truck and drove 2 hours home. Vacation week ruined. Family reunion ruined. I called the next morning and spoke to Lily and said I was driving down to pick up my refund. She confirmed that I would be getting 100% refund and that the owner was there and valued us as a customer and wanted a second chance. All I wanted was my money back I said. Drove 2 1/2 hours to be greeted by a check for half my total. So they kept $2400. Unbelievable. I will never give uLIARS on top of it Enjoy the photos. I have more and video to be posted. UPDATE. Owner called 9/12 and said he would be sending the balance of the refund. STILL NOTHING. After a month, I received a full refund. Not pleased with what I had to do, and was prepared to do in order to effectuate the full refund. They could have tried to make it right but failed. Sorry to say we won't be customers again.
