Call and responded to my text messages with rude and dishonest statements about the reservation.She dishonestly blamed Vrbo for the financial transaction mishandling . Management of the property ruined our trip!! Charged on VRBO an excessive noise violation fine however there was no ACTUAL noise complaint made to the police, etc. Felt very much like something she chose do on a whim. The next morning, called multiple times and then said we could "have the fine absolved" by being good and quiet on the final night. I'm sympathetic to it being a neighborhood but I would have rather had the police issue an actual fine to us than let Kim Dillon extort our group for $500 for talking on the patio until 11:30pm. read more

I didn't get to try the property because when I made a reservation at the online advertised price I received an email the next day rejecting my reservation because they said they made a mistake on the price and increased it by 150% for the days that I had submitted. If I could give 6 stars I would. Our stay was absolutely amazing. The house is beautifully situated directly on the beach with its own private beach, fire pit, lounge chairs, and umbrellas. Professionally decorated with a beach vibes throughout the home. We slept so comfortably going to sleep and waking up to the ocean waves. The home came fully equipped with everything we needed. The televisions were all smart tv's and had the options for all the streaming platforms to choose from. It's was a seamless booking. Kim was so kind and prompt. We were enjoying ourselves so much we asked to extend our stay and Kim was more than accommodating to us. She made it so easy. I will definitely be booking here again. Wish I could give more stars!!!! This beach getaway was EXACTLY what I envisioned when I booked the house for my birthday getaway with a small group of close friends. We live in LA, so the drive the Oceanside was easy..... and so very needed after the last few months of quarantine! Prior to booking, I called Kim, who's number was listed on their website. She's extremely helpful and friendly! I had a couple questions and when I reached out, she responded immediately. Booking was simple - I went straight through their website instead of a third-party vendor. (You save a little bit of $$$ in processing fees when you do it that way.) Upon arrival we were able to park our suburban right in front of the home - which was extremely helpful when it comes to packing and unpacking the car! Kim already sent codes for the front door when we booked, so getting into the house was simple. Once you walk in you're transported to a true paradise! The glass doors all along the backside of the house open up and you have unobstructed views of the ocean and your own private beach. All six rooms were decorated beautifully. They do not skimp on any finishes or linens. The kitchen was fully stocked with all basic appliances (dishes/pots/pans/etc.) for cooking. Bathrooms were all very clean. Full sized washer and dryer were also a plus! They have plenty of beach chairs and boogie boards for everyone to have their own. Access to the private beach was an absolute luxury, and now I don't think I can rent another house without it! My only complaint is that I wish I had booked another night or two! These guys are the scum of the earth without an ounce of humanity - basically happy to take advantage of situations like a pandemic to scam you out of your money. We dealt with "Kim" who is beyond heartless. You should know that their "no refunds" policy means "no rescheduling", "no flexibility", "no concessions" and, of course, no chance you will ever get your money back regardless of circumstances. It will be yelled at you in every email and phone call. Their reschedule policy is a sham - completely at their discretion, no visibility, with highly questionable math and off platforms like VRBO, whom you may have used to book stays (and VRBO won't help at all). We had a similar situation to another reviewer, where we work average jobs in public sector or non-profit sectors and saved up for a nice vacation during the pandemic, but ended up losing all our money to these vampires because they wouldn't budge. Be aware and stay elsewhere. read more

We stayed at this Oceanside beach house March 16-19. The home is wonderful with stunning ocean views and rooftop deck with a jacuzzi that worked just fine. There is also a deck on the second floor overlooking the Ocean with comfy chairs. We sat out there a lot. The bedrooms are all comfortable and we slept well. Kim spent at least 30 minutes with me on the phone going over all my questions and was available anytime we needed help during the stay. The home had everything we could possibly need including bikes, beach chairs and sand toys for our littles. Our little granddaughters had so much fun taking the short walk to the beach and beach playground in the provided sand wagon. Everything was neat and tidy. The TV's in the home are smart TV's and worked great for us. The wifi and cell service were great. The living room had a huge beautiful corner sofa unit and the dining room had a lot of seating for our family of 7. We had a wonderful time and would return again. The buccaneer café is not far and we would go there in the mornings and get delicious breakfast. Also there is a little neighborhood market and coffee shop called The Cup right behind the home and we would walk there for delicious sandwiches. We ate at Anita's Mexican Restaurant that is not too far away and it was delicious. This is the second property we have rented from Oceanside Beach Rental. We rented through Airbnb. read more

I wish I would have read reviews before renting from them. If I could leave a zero star review I would. Bullying and harassment sum up my visit to the beach. The owner tried to extort $375 for a service dog (PTSD), claimed the property is dog friendly in the listing but in a later conversation said the owner has a medical condition relating to pet dander. They then attempted to say there was damage to the property, which is why I filmed everything before leaving early. Airbnb has since closed the claim proving there's no property damage. They have said they would refund the nights I was not there, but that has not happened. Extremely unethical, immoral, knew stuff from private conversations that happened inside they would only know about with hidden cameras or listening devices. To top it off, there's no cell phone service (Verizon) anywhere in the house and WiFi is spotty at best. If there's an issue, like someone banging on the door late at night from the inside, you're only option is to text 911. read more

My experience was so bad that I ended up leaving the house that same day , even though I had the property booked for 4 days. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. There are a lot more better property. We spent over a week at 1019 so Pacific. It was a dream-like spot. The waves crashing against the shore, your own "sandbox" beach, with a lovely fire pit; the whole back of the house opened to an indescribable view. We felt very grateful to enjoy such a stunning place. The home itself was beautiful and tastefully decorated. We found the furnishings comfortable, functional and tasteful. I say "owner" because she stormed in without a notice and we had no idea who she was at the time. She had ruined my wedding proposal among many others who have messaged me and written Yelp reviews that their stay was ruined. She rents out the place and will completely sabotage it during your stay. At my proposal she showed up and was acting psychotic and damaging our property. From the pictures it looks like you are right on the beach and you are. They also have a huge private sand area for the kids to play in this Place was amazing. You think the pictures are amazing you need to see the house. We had a family get away and everyone slept comfy. There are alot of stairs in the house 3 amazing floors. You can get lost in the house the first day in :) I had to holler for my kids to see what floor they were on. We only left the house an hour after we got there and took off to the grocery store. There is no need or want to go visit the town. The backyard sounds and sunsets are things you never want to leave. We spent time by the fire pit at night and Grilled during the day. If I had to make any suggestion Id say the one thing to improve on is to put more hanger is each closet but we were fine We hope to be back next year. read more

The owners of the properties run a total SCAM. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. It is a nightmare. Upon speaking to other guests, the owners let you stay, then come ambush your event, and take you off the rental through your booking site, and then claim that there were damages to the property. I wish i could give them less than 1 star. I wouldn't be surprised if good comments were left by their friends and fam. Multiple people have had terrible experiences with these owners. Booked the last week in June 2020 back in December 2019 and paid a $1000 deposit. When time came for payment of the balance of the rental fee in late March, I didn't want to pay due to concerns about COVID and related issues causing us to cancel our plans. I arranged with management that I would forfeit my deposit if the property went unrented that week; if they rented it, I would get my deposit back. I kept watching on the reservation website and saw that the property was available for the same fee that I rented for up until the first week of May when it showed no longer available that week. At that time, I contacted management who said yes, it had been rented to someone else, but they had to rent for less and therefore would keep my deposit. Of course, there was no evidence provided that they actually rented for a lower price nor was I ever offered a lower price. They "graciously" offered to apply my deposit to the same property next year, but of course now the rental fee has gone up. Really disappointed that they took this approach and basically pocketed a double deposit for the same week. read more

We have rented two homes that Oceanside manages and thoroughly enjoyed our stay each time. We had booked one of their homes again this summer for a two week period, but due to COVID we aren't able to come. Fortunately we worked with Oceanside to open up the dates for someone else to rent the property and give us the flexibility to move the dates to a later time. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. To begin, I'd like to say that I am a frequent traveler, and have rented many homes in the past. Never in my life have I ever experienced a more horrific event. This home was rented for a three night stay for an intimate proposal. What was supposed to be one of the happiest days of our families life turned into a nightmare. The owner of the home, a sick woman, marched into the property, stepped in front of the newly engaged couple and started screaming at our family. She removed a wig off her head proclaiming that she had cancer, making us all extremely uncomfortable and mortified. She tried to play the cancer card to justify her cruelty but little did she know that everyone there had been a victim of that sickness in one way or another as well. It was a scene out of a horror movie. This sick woman, who is the owner, lives a few houses down and eavesdrops on the people that are staying in the home which is a complete invasion of privacy. Not only that, but she had the audacity to walk onto the property which is completely illegal and wrong! Even her husband allowed himself to walk through the front door and go into the home when there were underage girls inside who felt violated and afraid. The people who were renting the home next to us were doing everything they can to defend us and try to reason with this psychopath. She was speaking to them respectfully but yelling at us and in convinced that the treatment had something to do with our ethnicity. We were forced to call the authorities and the police officers reassured us that these people were in the wrong! They were trespassing and could've gotten arrested! It's so sad to me that just because someone is miserable in their own life, they feel the need to make others miserable. Stay away from this place, please. Please do yourself a favor and avoid the humiliation and horror. They will stalk you and eavesdrop. They will treat you with disrespect if you are not white. I hope for everyone's sake that this sick woman's renters license is taken from her. Stay the hell away! read more
