My stay at Pacific Villas earlier this month was one for the memory books. If you want a cozy, steps to water, Oceanside beach cottage with a view, you have found your vacation spot here. Check-in was effortless and so quick. I really appreciate the clear communication and easy instructions. I personally loved staying in Unit #4, you have the best of both worlds, proximity to the upper street during the day and the stunning ocean view on the upper level. The unit is small but honestly the perfect size for a couple. It's an older building but that adds to the charm. You truly feel like you are living like a local. It comes equipped with everything you need. Plenty of linens and toiletries. Even beach chairs and lanterns. The high deck chairs on the patio are perfect for sitting and watching the sunset or looking for dolphins off the coast. I felt super safe the whole time. The property is within walking distance to coffee shops, the pier, dining and more. Highly recommend a stay. Can't wait to go back. read more

This has been our 4th or 5th time staying at Lauren's beautiful property and we are so in love with this place I hate to give it a good review and make it harder to book in future! Fair is fair and Lauren and her staff are the best Airbnb hosts (hostesses) we have had. Location and amenities are great. When you have a question or need a recommendation she is always promp. This time there were even binoculars to watch the ocean and see the surfing. We have stayed in Suite 1, 3, and 4 and all are good. Can't wait to return! read more

We had such a wonderful stay in apartment 5. The view is spectacular and the condo is adorable and has pretty much everything you need. The location is great as far as restaurants and shopping, we walked everywhere and never moved the car. I will say it would be pretty tight to fit the max of 4 people. I stayed with my teenage daughter and son and it was just enough space. Add another adult and it would be too cramped. The beach was disappointing as the city or county has had to fill it with rock to prevent erosion. Unfortunately we were visiting when the tides were pretty high so there was very little beach access that wasn't 100% rock. Considering it's July and a during a large heat wave, what was available was packed understandably. This small point has no bearing on the condo, just a fact about the beach I wish I had known beforehand. Overall Lauren was the most helpful and communicative host we have had by far. She had suggestions for restaurants, things to do in the area, and was quick to respond to any communication. This is a beautiful place to sit on the balcony and relax for a few nights and we would gladly return. read more

Where should I begin........my husband and I feel very upset and disappointed with our recent stay at this property. While there (last week), the whole street on The Strand was undergoing repairs by the city of Oceanside. We were notified of the street repair via text just a couple of hours before it was time to check-in. If we would of known about this inconvenience, we would of postpone our trip to a later date. The property owner knew about this such repairs because they were given two weeks notice before the work started. We were trapped inside from 8 am until 4:30 pm. It was so noisy and the smell of tar lingered all day. Imagine spending your vacation a few steps from the beach and unable to walk on the sand, to listened to the waves roll in or not being able to smell the ocean breeze which was replaced by the smell of tar. We were unable to sit in our balcony and enjoy the view due to heavy trucks and street sweepers driving by all day. Our whole kitchen and living room vibrated most of the morning. I feel that the owner should of let us know as soon as they knew of the street repair. We should of made the decision of either staying or postponig the trip and not them. This could of been our yearly get away place. But, I do not trust this owner with my future vacation plans. The sad part is, my husband planned this little getaway for us last year (and gave them his hard earned money) and we were looking forward to it since it was to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This place is worth every penny. Charming little beach units with impeccable decor and spectacular views (we stayed in unit 2). The location alone will make you want to just watch the waves from the balcony all day. We had everything we needed for a few relaxing days in Oceanside. A short walk from downtown, local coffee shops and a little market. My fiancé and I were originally expecting to stay at their beautiful apartment after our wedding night because it was by far the most gorgeous location and place we found on Airbnb. Wonderful! The unit was just as advertised. Small but cozy. Definitely more suitable for 2 people but I could see sharing with another couple if you're on a budget. We stayed there 4 times in different units. It really is starting to feel like home. Different units have their own charm, but all are equipped with everything needed. Views are spectacular and all we wanted to do is sit on the balcony, drinking a favorite drink and watching the ocean. Pier, coffee, shops, eateries are within walking distance. If traveling by train, the station is within 5-7 min walk. The host is very nice, and extremely helpful in anything from booking, to checking out. She usually goes above and beyond to make guests happy.The villas are clean and very well decorated. The place is perfect for both a quick getaway to a long vacation. Pacific Villas at 506 S The Strand, Oceanside, CA 92054 was the best place we stayed for the entire 2 week trip to California. Prices were reasonable, especially when compared to other comparable properties in the area. We stayed in Villa 1. Oceanfront room with an unobstructed view of the ocean was just what I envisioned. The condo had plenty of room. It had a separate bedroom with a door. The kitchen area was separated from the living room by a small bar/counter and two barstools. I loved the balcony with chairs provided so that I could sit and watch the waves. The room was beautifully decorated with a modern look using crisp colors. The room was very clean and not cluttered with unnecessary decor. I loved the large tv provided. I also liked that a dirt devil vacumn was available to get up sand brought in from the beach. The public beach and play area is walking distance from Pacific Villas. I thought this was great because we didn't have the large group of people and noise from all the people on the beach right in front of us. Pacific Villas facility has complementary washer and dryer with the needed detergent and bounce provided. Lauren, the host of Pacific Villas was totally amazing and very profesional. She provided us an early check in. She immediately made contact with us at check in. She sent me a list of recommended places to eat and nearby activities. I liked that she was on site during the day. We felt special from the beginning to the end of our stay. We will definitely stay again. read more
