Four stars only because we didn't see any whales. We saw a huge pod of dolphins and they put on a great show! The crew were super friendly and answered any questions we had. The boat is spacious and has room to sit and stand. The ride was smooth no one got sick!! I recommend this business for your ocean exploration! read more

Such a fun experience. Crew was so helpful and informative. Saw the most dolphins we've ever seen on a tour. Kids loved it.

It was Gr8 viewing on a catamaran! My G'son & friend were visiting from MS and they enjoyed the smooth ride, unobstructed viewing, cordial staff and pod of 500 dolphins. It was easy to move around on the single level boat and part of it was wind protected. No whales this time but watching the dolphins was fun. read more

Oceanside Adventures - Pod of 500 dolphons - Boat Charters Near Me - Oceanside, California

Whenever family comes to visit, Oceanside Adventure is part of our time together. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous. The prices are fair, the boats are very clean, comfortable, and mid-sized so that the trip feels intimate and safe. The location at Oceanside Harbor can't be beat. Easy to park, and no long drive to San Diego. We just went on another whale watching trip with captain Chris at the helm. We saw thousands of dolphins this time. Thank you for another memorable time on the ocean with family! read more

Oceanside Adventures - No whale on this trip, but thousands of dolphins. Truly magical. - Boat Charters Near Me - Oceanside, California

Went at the end of July and ran into a pod of 500-600 dolphins! It was amazing. So many baby dolphins too! My kids loved it. My son got a little sea sick once we got farther into the ocean. The lady gave him a ginger gum which helped. I got a little quesy so I would suggest prepare ahead of time. Like taking ginger pills before you go on. read more

Buyer beware! I booked a same day two hour whale watching excursion on thier web site, a short time later I received an email saying the trip had been cancelled due to lack of enough bookings. I followed the directions in the email and contacted them to find my options, after a short discussion I was told that since "I choose a third party " to book my reservation that all they could do was send a message to them to approve my refund (I booked my reservation on their web site). Fast forward two days and I havent heard anything so I call again and was told they could not do anything else and it was up to me to contact their third party vendor that sells tickets for them. The person I spoke with could not even give me the contact informatioon for the company. I researched on my own and found a contact number, when I contacted them they told me they could not help me because they had not received anything from the tour boat company. I was able to conference both of them on the call and was finally able to get my refund processed. WHAT A PAIN! read more

What a great company! The reservation process was easy, boarding and safety announcements were clear, and as we got underway, our Captain Chris used the ships PA system to explain what we were looking for and where to look...he explained the migration habits of whales, and the different types of marine life we were hoping to see, and the First Mate Cindy circulated among us to point out where the whales were ...we found several pods of whales, 10 animals total, a few bottle nosed dolphins came right by the boat, and we saw sea lions hanging out on a buoy as we returned to shore...what a wonderful two hour experience!! Thanks!! read more

Brisky chilly day on the water, but we were rewarded by seeing 3 varieties of dolphins, sea lions, and a grey whale. Crew was friendly and knowledgeable. The boat is easy to board and large enough to ride the sometimes choppy waves comfortably. The captain made good efforts to find and view the dolphins and whales. read more

Third or fourth time we've done the 2 hour tour. The boat is clean, the crew is friendly, there are treats to buy, but best of all is the rolling ocean and sounds of waves. And of course, we did see the top of a gray whale in the distance. Barely caught it on camera but there it was! Lots of fun and a great birthday present. read more

Took a tour on 11/18/2023 and we saw a sun fish and pod of bottlenose dolphins. Captain was very respectful of the wildlife and had a lot of information to share! Enjoyed the experience even though go we didn't see a ton. After all, nature does what nature will. read more

Ok, so the Oceanside Adventures is by far the best whale watching host i've ever been on! 2 hour ride expected, but we were out there and the whales but quite a show for us that the captain decided to stay longer to really experience the magic! Loved it! They are NOT strict down to the clock, I really loved that about them! The team members are super friendly and constantly adding input to what we see. Love it! read more

Excellent whale watching experience! Loved the boat....it was very comfortable and smooth on the water. The captain and staff were great!

This was my first time whale watching and it was so much fun! The boat was so clean and the staff were all so kind. We didn't see anything at first so they drove around until we were able to see a huge pod of dolphins and a quick whale sighting. Would definitely do it again! read more

This was an unbelievable trip. The crew, captain Chris and first mate ivy were amazing. Safety and care was their first priority. The knowledge of sea life and the ocean itself was second to none! I highly recommend taking this charter if you are a visiting or a local! read more

The experience was better than we had expected! The website is easy to navigate and book. The instructions on the confirmation email was very clear and the staff was helpful. There were 2 crew members (can't recall their names) did an excellent job with navigating the waters looking for wildlife while sharing information. While we did not get to see any whales, we saw a lot of dolphins which was really incredible. My parents even spotted a few baby dolphins (awww)! It did get a little foggy about halfway through the tour but that couldn't be helped. All in all, a great experience and would love to go again! read more

Amazing experience! We had so much fun and saw thousands of dolphins. Highly recommend and looking forward to going again!

What a great time ! This was a special "eclipse" tour - we had two Captains one drove the boat and Captain Joe looked out for guests along with Candice - they even brought Krispy Kreme eclipse donuts for everyone! But to the cruise - I enjoyed it more I think than the larger boats out of San Diego harbor and as an added bonus it is closer to my home and easily access from coast hwy , hwy 76 or coming off I-5 so a great place to take out of towners . The boat (ship?) was smaller than those in SD but you get much closer to the wild life - that was amazing! Still it's large enough to feel free to walk around on - there's a restroom/ head and a small bar where they sell drinks and soft drinks and some beers (cash bar) It was a real good time and I really enjoyed myself and will definitely go out again read more

This was one of the better excursions we have experienced. The crew was very accommodating and informative. We did not see any whales but super pod of porpoises. We also saw a sea turtle and a Mako shark. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Oceanside. read more

Great Experience for the whole family. I went during a non-school day and there was plenty seating and couldn't have asked for a more better day; not too hot nor cold. We went in mid January ( early migration month ) read more

The whales were amazing and were huge ! Would recommend coming during cooler times since it was very cold . Always bring a sweater !

We ended up seeing dolphins and a group of false killer whales, which they had only seen twice in two years! It was a very cool sight! They even let us stay out a bit longer to watch them. Even if we hadn't seen anything, just getting out on the water was itself a good time! The ride was smooth on the way out, but was a bit rougher at times on the way back, which I had expected could happen.I took some dramamine, because I've been known to get sea sick, and I felt just fine! We went at 12:00 and it was a windy, but sunny ride out. On the way back the sun had disappeared and was pretty chilly, so bring a warm jacket and/or blanket just in case. The staff was friendly and we'd do it again. read more

An incredible adventure! An experience I will never forget. When the Fin Whale breached, it was so breathtaking I got chills.

Everytime I'm in O'Side I always book a tour with Oceanside Adventures. Such a cool and comfortable staff. The boat is well kept clean and has drinks and snacks. My husband and I tour a tour Thursday and got to see a ridiculous amount of common dolphins. They were very playful and it was an awesome experience. We are thinking of going again Saturday read more

Clean boat and very COVID safe procedures. Staff seems as interested in seeing the wildlife as we were. Great communication about their process and what we were doing at any given time. 2nd time not seeing any animals but not the tours fault at all. The first trip was great despite no animals because the crew still shared lots of information. The second trip none of the crew interacted with the guests. It would be nice to at least learn something especially when no animals can be found. Very loud and drunk guests on the second trip as well and no one attempted to curb their volume or cursing despite young children on board. Hopefully the next trip will be better. read more

First off this place and customer service is very rude! I don't recommend doing this or this place of business. Me and my fiancé got the wine cruise and booked it online. However it states if your running late to call. I am not from around the area and this was our first time booking this. However it doesn't state at exactly what time the boat leaves it just says when to be there. We all know boats won't leave at the time it says to especially when everyone isn't there. However I called to let them know I was on my way but there was major traffic we got stuck in that wasn't our fault around oceanside. Which I told them my map said I would be like 5mins -10mins late. Even though we did leave early. I am about 2 hrs away from Oceanside. When I called a young girl answered right off the bat had a big attitude with me and I was super nice. So I was like is this how they always talk to customers how rude is this. So I told the girl my situation, and she told me to bad, better get here on time or the boat will leave without you! Really??? Nice attitude. No help from this place at all. Not only rude customer service, but she had no help in even connecting me to somebody who actually would care about this. We arrived 10mins late due to Oceanside parking and crowds and not be able to find exactly where the booth was. I tried to call and nobody answered. They all leave So you can't talk to anybody that runs the boats? Nobody in office? No mangers on site? So pretty much your screwed over due to traffic on a weekend in Oceanside and finding parking. All I got to say is just this place is not what I expected it to be. I sent them a email and just got the same response with a attitude from this company. Telling me they won't refund me or reschedule my passes. So basically they steal and scam your money from you!! This is not cool in anyway. They don't accommodate you for nothing or even try to help you. Please don't go to this beach to any services with them. I don't recommend the whale watching or the wine cruises they do. I never had worst customer service. However I will file a report for fraud for scamming there customers and not giving right info in the emails they sent out and not accommodating what they say!!! Very rude customer service and owners whoever do these cruises!!! Please don't do them!! If you have...maybe you had better service then I experienced, but they were nothing but rude to us for our first and last time doing this in Oceanside. Thank you!!! read more
