Today we had an amazing time aboard the "Summer Wind" sailboat with Captain Glen and crew member Molly. Start to finish the outing was perfection. The sailboat was pristine, the weather was absolutely perfect. We were a party of 6. Captain Glen met us in the parking lot and escorted us to the boat. He encouraged both of my grandchildren to take turns at the helm. His professional, friendly, attentive demeanor was second to none. read more

This was an amazing experience! Captain Bill was helpful, accommodating, and so fun to sail with on La Bella Vita! It was my sister's 60th birthday and he made it such a special time. I cannot say enough about the fantastic experience we had with Captain Bill! We've sailed with Bill four times and will continue booking trips with him in the future. He's really quick to respond to any requests and goes out of his way to make sure you have a memorable trip. I have brought friends from out of town on a sail and they were so impressed they want to go again when they visit next time. read more

Captain Bill was fantastic. From his first response online I knew me and my soon to be fiancé were in good hands. His boat was clean and well kept. He's very personable and was a great steward to the waters he sails. He took photos for us while we were on our sunset sail. Which was perfect for my surprise proposal at sea! We now have memories and photos that will be with us for a lifetime. Thank you Captain Bill. We look forward to sailing with you again the next time we find ourselves in the area. read more

Captain Bill is absolutely amazing! He shared in our ceremony by ringing an antique bell eight times with a poem by John F Kennedy. He volunteers for fish and wildlife and works with his family for the preservation of the ocean. He helped us to celebrate the life of Dan Feltham's 90 years, as a sailor, world traveler, author, musician, photographer, father of son Kerry and so much more! It was a beautiful morning with flowers, passages and poetry read, bubbles and a sun fish, brown pelicans, commorants, crested terns, California gulls, long nose common dolphins, sea lions, schools of fish, and so much more! It was truly a spectacular experience and beautiful ceremony. read more

I hesitate to write this review, as I feel it's a local's secret amazing opportunity- but the crew is so nice and this is an awesome sailing experience, I just have to share. We opted for a 2-hour sunset cruise. I've been on a few with Captain Bill and/or Captain Glenn, and I know we will do this again. It was absolutely lovely. A must-do for O'side locals and visitors alike! read more

Unbelievable! Such a great experience. To be out in the Ocean, far from shore, is such a peaceful feeling. Add the luck of seeing a HUGE pod of dolphins, playing, eating, jumping out of the water....the BEST. Captain Bill and Captain Glen, THANK YOU for your knowledge and professionalism shown to our two groups. My wife and I are already looking forward to the next time. read more

Wow Bill is a master captain, Help us get on board with a quick safety brief and 6 family members were off to 3 hours of fabulous memories. His boat is large and comfortable. There was a light breeze on the way out and soon sunshine. On the way back we saw a pod of 300 dolphins cross right in front of the boat. Everything was perfect and the cost was very reasonable. We will be back soon. Thanks Captain Bill read more

If you are looking to enjoy a sail on the ocean Pacific Marine Charters is the charter to book. Captain Bill and Captain Glenn are top notch professionals. We emailed Captain Bill several weeks in advance to plan our sail for our family of six. He responded in a timely manner and we booked a sunset sail. He sent a detailed email on where they were located, where to park, where to meet and what we could bring. We brought a charcuterie board and some wine. Captain Glenn met us in the parking lot and we went down to board the beautiful Summer Wind. Captain Glenn went through a quick safety briefing and we were off. Once out in the water we sailed around and came upon a pod of dolphins that sailed along the side of the boat along with a few sea lions. We then circled a buoy that had sea lions on it to sleep for the night. We watched the sunset and then headed back in. It was a perfect sail tour with a great captain. Highly recommend! I look forward to going out with them again on my next visit to Oceanside. read more

I contacted Pacific Marine Charter regarding scattering my mom's ashes. Captain Bill spoke to me via phone. He was very professional and courteous during our discussion and answered all of my questions. Captain Bill replied to my emails the same day. Our family decided to book a 2 hr sunset. Bill kept us updated on weather conditions with increased swells and wind due to incoming storm. We followed his recommendation to changing our time to late morning. The weather was gorgeous and our family had a fun and memorable time on the ocean. Bill made sure we were always comfortable and he was able to take us out to a dolphin pod that another boat had spotted as well as a Malo (sun fish)! I highly recommend Captain Bill and Captain Glenn. They're professional and fun. Their sailboats are impeccable. I'm planning set up an excursion with colleagues to sail again with Captain Bill. read more

Pacific Marine Charters is the only charter that I will book in the San Diego area. I got a warm welcome aboard the Bella Vita and even got to take a swing at steering the wheel! The sail was smooth, we saw tons of dolphins and a whale. Captain DeLuna was so friendly and warm and shared stories that cracked us up! We were free to stretch out on the bow, and found out that they even do burials at sea! Some places can feel like tourist traps with bored employee, but Pacific Marine Charters made us feel like family right from the moment that we stepped aboard! It was a total pleasure to have such a literally refreshing experience!!! read more

We went out with Captain Glenn and had the BEST time! He was knowledgeable about the area and marine life. We saw dolphins and caught a little wind to sail. It didn't feel like a tour, it felt like we were out with family. Our dog loved every minute! I would highly recommend booking a trip, you won't be disappointed! We plan on going again the next time we are there! read more

We scheduled a 2 hour afternoon sail with Bill. He was prompt in communication and very reasonably priced, especially for a private charter. His boat is beautiful and he is very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a wonderful time even with one member of our party having a bit of sea sickness. Our kids were ecstatic that they got to hold the wheel and steer the boat. We saw dolphins and sea lions. We would definitely book again with Pacific Marine Charters. read more

A+ experience with Captain Bill and Captain Glenn. We had about 10 people in our group so we split up onto 2 boats. The captains made sure to keep our boats in close proximity so we could get lots of good pics and even talk to the people on the other boat. We encountered dozens of dolphins and sea lions on our trip-- there are several other captains in the PMC group that all communicate with each other to share locations of the dolphins so you are sure to see some! They also do seasonal whale-watching trips so we will certainly be returning for that. Meanwhile on the boat, they allow guests to bring food and drinks (including alcohol), and yes there is a bathroom. The captains took plenty of pictures of our groups which they later e-mailed to us. Oh, and they even let us take turns at the wheel driving the boat! Can't thank Captains Bill and Glenn enough for a very fun and memorable experience. If you're in the SD/Oceanside area, I highly recommend booking a trip! read more

This past weekend was the second outing my family had with Captain Bill. We took my mom and her boyfriend out for an early Mothers Day on the water. Where do I start? As a father, when you take your family out on the water you want to feel safe and comfortable and that's EXATLY how Captain Bill makes you feel. We just love spending the day sailing with Captain Bill and we're lucky enough this day to catch up with a pod of dolphins, which played with us for close to 30 minutes. My daughter, whose 10, said it's the best day she's ever had on a boat... HUGE statement for a girl who's spent her fair share of time on boats. We plan to spend many more days on the water with Captain Bill, hope he doesn't get sick of us... ha ha ha Thank you Captain Bill for the amazing memories I'm able to make for my family on your beautiful boat. read more

My family had a wonderful time. Now my dad, George and my uncle Bill are together in the great ocean of Oceanside, CA. They were the first State Life Guards in Oceanside,CA.
