They don't respond to messages in a timely fashion. Sometimes it's an emergency but they wouldn't know that if they don't listen to the messages. I don't believe it when they say all agents are busy with other customers. I don't think there are agents answering calls. I can't believe this company gets good reviews. I used them for a Viking Refrigerator Recall , the first tech that came to my house couldn't reattach the door so he called his boss (Danny) who when he arrived at my house I could tell he didn't want to be there he attached the door and was getting ready to leave when I told him the door was all crooked and he said that I needed a new door seal. I have PSEG contacts on all of my appliances so I called them and said I needed a new door seal, which the tech replayed that I didn't but replaced it anyway and the door was still crooked because I was told that Oceanic did not attach it correctly. I called Oceanic 6 times trying to get them to repair my door and was told that Danny said they did the recall and were not responsible for the door. I called Viking back and explained the problem and was given the name MG Appliance Repair. Wilson came to my house and after 2 hours fixed my door. I can't believe Viking would recommend a crooked company like Oceanic because of the shoddy work they do. read more

Certainly one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company!!! Does not even deserve one star but the field must be filled in RUN AWAY RUN AWAY!!!! I have been trying to have my stove repaired since March. There has been nothing but misinformation about when parts would arrive. Three times I was given dates to expect arrival of the parts, and each time I had to call to find out that the parts had not shown up. The last date I was given on Sept 25 2023 was February 24 of 2024. Feed up at that point I was able to get the parts from the manufacturer in 12 days after one search. Having been told that I would pay one price for both the the original diagnostic visit, and the installation of parts, I am now told that since I did not wait until February (blindly believing they were working with my interests in mind) but obtained the parts myself. they will not follow up on the statement of installing the parts as part of the original payment I made in good faith. Do yourself a favor and don't even pick up the phone to call these charlatans!! CT read more

Had them come out to do an appliance repair. Had to wait 2 weeks just to get an estimate or even a response. They never gave me an estimate and said they were ordering parts. 3 months later and still no word from the company about my part. I know with Covid things have been delayed hence the reason I waited 3 months before saying anything. Still haven't heard anything from company even after emailing them. After waiting 4 weeks for an appointment, which they confirmed 3 times on Tuesday for my dishwasher repair on Wednesday at 11:00, Wednesday morning at 9:00AM, they cancelled the appointment. This is the story of my ordeal with Viking Corporation and Oceanic Appliance Repairs because narrating the hard time they gave me out of sheer carelessness and negligence to fix a simple issue with my stove. The silicone rubber seal got lifted off from only the knob area of my Viking stove a couple of months ago. The stove was working perfectly fine but i was worried that some food might get in the gaps and cause a fire. Hence as a precaution i called Viking to get it fixed. Viking recommended a local dealer called Oceanic Appliance Repairs. The first guy came from Oceanic Applince Repiar and he assured me they are well trained by Viking appliances and he knows what he was doing. So the seal had got lifted off only from the middle. It was perfectly fine on the sides. But instead of just fixing the part that was lifted he went ahead and removed the whole thing. He used a non heat resistant clear silicon on a black stove! Which is a fire hazard! Imagine! And then he himself was unhappy with what he did and said his superior would come and look at it and fix it. Couple of days later the head technician came, brought a black silicone.. AGAIN NON HEAT RESISTANT.. and upon asking why they dont have a heat resistant one he said its not available and said this is the best product to use. After about an hr and half of going back and forth with different solutions he tried to seal the glass top with the steel frame and piped it like icing on cake in a messy, messy way. Instead of beading it nicely. And asked me, an untrained person obviously, to clean it up by scraping it off with a blade after it dried. A family friend who is a fire inspector, when he saw the job was shocked that a Oceanic Repair would do Such a horrible job like this and leave it as a serious fire hazard. With a simple google search he was able to find me fire resistant silicon and we had to take out everything that was done and seal it again and bead it with a beader tool. It was a simple job that was done in a lousy, careless manner by Oceanic Repair. When i called ocenic repair to complain they told me I have to take it up with Viking since they are only an authorized repair shop. I called Viking back, a company selling $1900 plus stoves, they were unhelpful and did nothing to either help me fix the issue or had and remorse for the trouble i had to go through by their recommended partner. read more

Oceanic Repair didn't show-up for an appointment for Friday, October 28,2016 to fix a Miele dryer. When we called, they said Miele had cancelled the appointment. Nevertheless, they never informed us of this cancellation and we waited the whole day for them to come. We next called them for the same dryer on December 27, 2016. They gave an appointment for 11 days later. When Dan came, he charged for diagnosis but gave the diagnostic report only after I made a written request and 17 hours after charging for it. The diagnostic report has many factual errors and incorrect statements. Nevertheless, Dan has refused to correct them stating he wrote whatever Miele asked him to write. Dan and Oceanic Repair have provided the worst customer service of all companies I have used in the last thirty years. read more

I had a problem with my Viking oven that when i preheated my oven i noticed that the Temp that i set it at was not being reached even though the oven beeped saying it had reached the temp. They sent a service person out and he claimed that was the nature of the oven. When it beeped it did not mean it had reached the temp. $170's later. i contacted the company to get a better explanation and i am still waiting for them to call me back. i have left many emails and phone messages. They are supposed to be a Gold rated Viking authorized service. i think not! read more

I couldn't be happier! From the scheduling process all the way through to the on-site service... just fantastic customer service all around! Jay, our tech, was professional, extremely thorough and very courteous and neat. After the job was done, or so we thought, Jay noticed something else that in the beginning of the job, we thought could wait. When the job was all complete, and he was cleaned and packed up, it became clear that this issue indeed needed to be addressed. He went back to his truck, got all his gear and set up shop again, to fix the issue. All of this at a price that was extremely reasonable, and in fact, less than what I thought I was in store for. I am quite unhappy with their service. I had my Viking Oven repaired March 2018 and now 3 months later I am dealing with the same issue. I felt the service person was rude. When you call their office they never return your call. Then when you do finally talk to someone and tell them you keep calling and leaving messages and no one returns your call they tell you they are having problems with their phones. read more

I called Daniel to inquire about my Kitchen Aide refrigerator that was leaking. He explained that he was not one of their authorized dealers but also walked me thru a fast diagnostic of the problem and advised me to call the manufacturer directly as the problem I was experiencing was covered by the warranty as it was a common problem. He was great on the phone and extremely helpful. I would not hesitate to call Daniel for any appliance repair I may encounter in the future. read more
