Great food and great service. Just wish the same owner as Lucky Fish would keep the rest rooms as clean there as here. They are disgusting. City code dept needs to investigate. read more

Food was delicious. Fresh and cooked to perfection. Elisha was an excellent waitress. She was on top of everything. Never had to look around for her. Highly recommend this place read more

Great ambience fantastic food menu is not huge but the food was prepared well and delicious. As any place on the beach prices are steep. Garage parking 4.50 across street read more

Lovely ambiance and even better food! Ordered the Beach Burger which was the perfect brunch meal.

My girlfriend and I stopped by yesterday afternoon, no seats at the bar but the hostess outside sat us right away in the shade. We only stopped by for an app and a drink since my g/f had never been. Ordered the poke bowl and ceviche and a nice glass of white wine! Both dishes were amazing! Luis our waiter was outstanding and the entire service was impeccable! I've been here many times and happy to see the food and service were outstanding! Love Oceanic! You can tell it is a first class place! read more

Came here to meet some friends. We had our table moved to the beach side upon asking. Service was excellent with all workers wearing their masks properly. Everyone's meal was very good. A bit pricey to take the family out though. You also must pay for parking at the meters. Well worth coming again in the future. read more

Love this place. The food, to me, is exceptional. The menu is quite varied and there is something there for everyone. The service is just as great, never having to hunt down a waitperson, they are always there. What I also like about this place is that they have so many different rooms and options for dining. And what a great bar for people watching. Place is right on the ocean and what a view of the Atlantic. read more

Beautiful place, it's perfect for big parties. But it's covid so It was just me and one other. The food was on point, delicious. The ceviche had a nice sweetness to it that I liked. I had the lobster tail which was cooked perfectly and the side of brussel sprouts was probably the best ones I've had out! The waitress was really sweet and helpful. I recommend going before sunset to get a view of the pier. read more

Absolutely delicious food every time and service great, but Ecren was our server on Valentines Day and by far the most professional, friendly server we have had anywhere. Without a doubt, one of our favorite places while enjoying the beautiful views of the beach and ocean. read more

On our first visit for lunch, hostess Maria greeted us at the Front door in a friendly welcoming manner and sat us at a comfortable Ocean view table on a Sunny Sunday. Our server Chris was friendly and promptly took our drink order of Ketel One Spicy Bloody Mary and a glass of Au Bon Climat Chardonnay. Chris was knowledgeable about the food preparations and an experienced veteran that had managed a few upscale restaurants in the Tri-county area. His assistant Jay was very attentive and accommodating to all our requests and contributed to a superb service experience. We started with Conch chowder that we would have preferred with less potatoes and carrots and more conch. Also too much Bacon overpowered this Caribbean concoction. For our lunch Entree we ordered a Chicken Pesto Melt with Fontina, Gruyere and hot peppers on hearth Multigrain toast that was a superb pairing of flavors with the cheese complimenting the spice of the peppers with a toasty crunch. We also ordered a House Smoked Salmon BLT with Nueske's Bacon that was perfectly stacked on Multi grain toast. This House Smoked Salmon is the best in Pompano Beach. The entire team led by Managers Ryan and Janelle reflected good staff training and executed to perfection. We were so impressed with our overall lunch experience that we made reservations for dinner the same night. For dinner we had an appetizer of grilled calamari that was grilled to perfection and for our Entrees we both had the special of the night 'Spicy Thai curry Snapper' that we enjoyed immensely in spite of the sweet potatoes on the bottom. (We would have preferred Jasmine rice). We rate Oceanic 4 1/2 stars and the best restaurant in Pompano's newly revived beautiful Beachfront and will be back soon hoping to raise the bar to Five Stars. We urge you to hurry in and treat yourself to this Oceanfront romantic dining experience and tell them Billy Wisdom sent you. read more

Elisha was incredible - she is a great service. The food was amazing. Had the best time - we will be back!!

They have gone downhill AGAIN! Manager fired ALL the good staff, for dumb reasons! All new bartenders, our favorites that knew our names and drinks are gone leaving a mess of a staff that don't take care of you! The manager might have a crowd now, it's season, but regulars and locals are fleeing this sinking ship. It's not just me and my husband that live down the street, it's our local friends that used to come here finding other places to go! Sea watch, next door to Beach House even is better! Once you loose the locals you loose the regulars that keep you afloat during off season! We used to eat here three times a week, now it's like two times a month if that. Specials are not special to a menu that doesn't change! This place needs new management or hire back the bar tenders and waiters that made this place! You know who they are, manager! read more

Can I say... BOMB!!! The Food is ... the Service is incredible!! They care soo much about the guest And I love it! Best stop in Pompano Beach if you wanna hangout by the beach day or night!! Drinks are great!! They are my new spot to dine or drink!! read more

Do yourself a favor and visit Oceanic.  The service and views are unmatched. I usually come once a week at least to Oceanic to visit.  Sitting at the outside bar is an incredible experience, that you are sure to truly enjoy.  Amanda, Baily, and Monique are exceptional at their jobs and make you feel like family! read more

I was getting together with friends I hadn't seen in a while and we picked this place because of the location. Unfortunately, there is nothing positive I can say. I asked the waiter if I could substitute a salad instead of the fries that came with my meal and much to my dismay, his response was no, I cannot do that. Right then I should have changed my order but the shrimp and lobster sliders just sounded so good. BIG mistake on my part. I asked him to leave off the fries but I got them anyway. The amount of the shrimp/lobster salad was maybe 2 forkfuls....pathetic. One of my friends order a salmon sandwich and she commented that it was the worst salmon she had ever tasted. These folks should take a course in customer service because they definitely lack in that area. I will never go back!!! read more

First time to Oceanic. My girlfriend, daughter and I selected the place because we'd heard about the large outdoor patio area for dining. The location is of course, just beautiful. It's right on the beach with pretty view of the pier. We started with a mojito which was lovely. They were out of smoked salmon which was a huge disappointment as that is our favorite appetizer. We tried ceviche instead. It had nice fresh shrimp, but really lacked flavor. It needed more onion, cilantro and lime. We asked for more lime and the three wedges we were brought started to liven that dish up and give it the acid it needed. For lunch we ordered wine - it tasted like it came from a bottle that was recorked from last night, but all the wine is on tap. Based on this one experience, I'd say the tapped wine is not for wine lovers. Our lunch was delicious. Lobster and crab sliders, surf and turf benedict and french toast. Our server Becky was great. The bill came to $150 with a 22% tip for her. read more

Do not plan your event here, the event planner/manager is very shady. The location is great, but the customer service experience with the sales manager who handles events, Jen Saperstein, will over-commit and under deliver. I considered having my wedding reception here. I visited the venue, emailed with Jen Saperstein, and ate at the restaurant for lunch. The food was great and the location is without a doubt beautiful, but it comes at the expense of an inconsiderate and neglectful manager who is solely responsible for coordinating and managing your event on the actual day! I told Jen the date and time of my event and she told me in person, during the tour, that no one else had requested my date. She told me she would contact me first before committing to anyone else and would contact me if someone else inquired about that same date. I confirmed via email on the same day I took the tour that I wanted to secure the date. Two days later, she responded saying "great" and that she would send over a link for the deposit by end of the day. Jen never sent over the agreement. Jen responded two more days later apologizing for the delay in her response and asked me to confirm my guest count and event time. This was odd because we covered these details during our tour. I responded same day. The next day Jen responds saying that she had a day time event on the same day and that "unfortunately" the time we discussed "cuts into their daytime events." Knowing full well that we wanted some of the day light so we could enjoy the view, Jen proceeds to tell me that a 6PM start time in December "would still have plenty of day light." It gets dark at 5:30PM during this time of year. I replied to Jen's email the same day letting her know that this was not what we discussed during our tour, and she replied saying that she has to be mindful of day time and evening events and apologized for being misleading. On this day she was very responsive. Replied to me about 3 times within a couple hours; However, Jen did not even give me a heads up (like she said she would) or call me and this was after I had already shared the news with my family over the holidays. The most appropriate thing to do for somebody who has a title of a manager, would be to call the customer. She never called. She didn't give me the option to secure both day and evening time slots. I had to ask for this and she said that the other event was committed already. She was extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. Other event coordinators I've worked with picked up the phone and called to deliver this type of information. Jen just simply stopped responding to my emails. I asked her to give me a call and she again, never responded to that email and never gave me a call. It wasn't until 4 days later that she responded to my email saying she could speak to me that afternoon. Jen never called. It's unfortunate because I was willing to pay premium price and book up the entire venue, but Jen never even gave me the option. Jen was unfair, deceptive, and misleading. I'm not sure how an amazing venue could put event management in her hands. These types of business practices are very negligent and irresponsible. I could never trust someone who treats well paying customers like this from the beginning with such an important life event. This was supposed to be the easiest part of the process -Secure the date and leave a deposit. I'm glad I saw this at the beginning before my event was ruined. read more

Oceanic - Misleading - Seafood Near Me - Pompano Beach, Florida

I was fully prepared to be disappointed by Oceanic. I was wrong. The location for the restaurant in conjunction with the stylish decor and layout of the interior lay the foundation for an exquisite dining experience. Unfortunately, I have rarely found such beachfront locations to match the setting and seating with the food and service. I am pleased to say that I was wrong to have such assumptions of Oceanic. We found exquisite service and hospitality from every level from hosts, servers, owner and everyone else. The beach views are stunning, even for locals desensitized to the stunning ocean views and sea breezes. We were waiting on my out of town father in law to arrive and while he got lost and ended up being 20 minutes late, our server was gracious and understanding. The menu wasn't as sea based as I expected. There are no scallops or crab items on the menu, although we were told that we must order the (off brunch menu) crab cakes. My father in law declared he would be picking up the check which always skews and alters my experience. Everything tastes better when someone else is paying! We decided on the thai shrimp that were deep fried, the cocktail shrimp and the deconstructed tuna tartar wraps. The thai shrimp (think bang bang shrimp) was outstanding. Honestly I would have been happy enought to just eat a bucket of the stuff for my entire meal. The tuna appetizer was nice, but not overwhelmingly amazing as there were a lot of things to put on the wraps, but only a smallish amount of seared tuna. It was fairly expensive given how much tuna we were served. My mom ordered the lobster and rock shrimp sliders which were pretty good, but not life altering. My father in law had the mahi sandwich with was fantastic and I had the off-menu crab cakes. Our server confirmed that while I am a Marylander, the crab cakes would pass all of my taste tests and lend itself as one of the best crab cakes I've ever tasted. I wouldn't say that was quite the case, but they were pretty good. My wife had the surf and turf benedict which is a fun concept, but wasn't quite executed. There was a gravy finish to the crab cake benedict which is unique, but I walked away feeling like there was definitely a reason why I have never tried a gravy based eggs benny. My wife ordered the steak medium rare and it was definitely nowhere near medium rare (it was probably medium well honestly) Had I tasted the first bite I may have sent it back. The potatoes were pretty great and the benedict was a nice complement to the delicious other plates we tried. Nearly all of us found the appetizers to be more inspiring and enjoyable than our entrees, which isn't exactly ideal. The service made up for some of the food deficiencies, As a local and national beer connisseur, the beer selection is a little expensive, but fairly robust. My mom and wife both walked away ecstatic and grateful for their experience. I felt similar, but I'm not sure I would have felt anything like that had I had to pick up the check or half of the check. I hope they continue to improve, I would definitely be open to check them out in the future. I was expecting food without a vision or expectation and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant and view of the restaurant are stunning. We were bummed to find out that the upstairs was only available for private events as I can only imagine the views are even more incredible. They have the potential to be outstanding and I really hope in the next year or two they make that jump. There is definitely a great need for places like Oceanic! read more

Elisha our server was awesome! Food was amazing!

Beautiful location with outstanding food and service. The cocktails and wine on tap were great and the food was incredibly fresh and vibrant. Highly recommend this location with beautiful decor and views of the beach and ocean. read more

Extremely impressed with Oceanic. First time diners this evening and we will certainly be returning. The food is fantastic and the service, by Erica, was faultless. Most definitely would recommend. Not Impressed ! Restaurant next door Beach House much better food and prices. We tried this restaurant for the first time for my husband's birthday. Our party ordered the following dIshes: BBQ ribs, fresh catch, Pineapple Shrimp and Steak Cauliflower (cauliflower shaped like steak ). The ribs were the best part of the order. The pineapple shrimp wasn't bad but I could have made it at home. Nothing overwhelming about the dish. Half of the Cali steak was raw and undercooked. And they charge a whopping $24 for the dish. I tried everyone's dish and nothing was out of this world and for the prices it should be. They have a kids menu but would not recommend the Mac and cheese. The cheese used would not be liked by most kids palettes. Our waitress was extremely unfriendly and not attentive. Ordered bread which you pay for and it took at least 10 min to arrive. We had to ask for our dishes to be cleared. Was looking forward too getting dessert but found menu unappealing. The atmosphere on the back deck and bar are very nice. I would highly recommend passing by this restaurant and moving on to Beach House. read more

This restaurant is one to pass on when looking for seafood. We went last night and my daughter got food poising from the crab cakes. I called the manager today and basically did nothing and didn't even saw she was sorry. Told us we needed to go to a clinic and make sure it was the crab cakes. So, for those of you who have had food poising, you know it. So, please don't go unless you want to risk food poising. read more

Went there on a beautiful night and sat at the upstairs bar over looking the beach, and had a drink and a great shrimp appetizer before dinner. It was so relaxing I almost didn't want to go down and have dinner as we were eating inside. The food was good and the seafood was amazing. The only drawback was they did not have key lime pie that is amazing like the restaurant next door. The desert we had was really good though even though I am not a chocolate person. Definitely a place to go for great atmosphere, great food and have the beach experience at the beach. read more

Our server Erica was great and the food was super good!! She was super attentive and positive.

We came to this new and beautify restaurant to eat on a windy and rainy evening. Sat down outside but the blinds where drawn due to the rain. That just killed the view, no beach or ocean to see. We decided to eat indoors since it was a bit chilly and without the view, not worth it. We sat down against the window and felt a bit awkward because there was another couple on the other side of that window. So we might as well sat at the same table all 4 of us. But ok, we waved and kept to ourselves for the rest of our visit. I feel that the main menu is a bit small with the meals they offer. I was hoping for more variety. We ordered the Mahi Mahi and Filet Mignon. Not portions where as expected but I tell you what the sides are HUGE! Both meals where around $40 each which I feel was a good fair price. The food however was a bit on the salty side. Not just this or the other but everything. The biggest dislike for me was that the inside of the restaurant is very ecco'y and loud. Can't really have a normal conversation since everyone is trying to talk louder then their neighbor. We will come back and check this place out for lunch on a sunny day for sure. read more

Bad experience. The reason is they had a private party tonight going on upstairs, with terrible music and even worse, a loud DJ. Obviously they could not seem to care less for the actual restaurant patrons enduring this classless wedding type sounding event. Your customers do not need nor deserve this. The view was gorgeous, but for a restaurant near the ocean it was what I expected. The food wasn't good the menu is small. Fast food that I can get anywhere at a bar. The high end dish wasn't cooked. Best seafood in Wrightsville Beach. Eating out on the pier is a must. Fresh fish and much more.

The only reason for two vs one star is the manager made a pretty terrible situation a little better. They put our party if 8 in the rotunda room that had nobody in the room. Took the server several minutes to come in the room. Brought 6 of 8 drinks after almost 25 minutes. I was one of the two that didn't get a drink and told him to take our orders. When I asked him what he had written down for a drink I got a snarky response. I asked him if I'd get the drink tonight ( a little snarky on my part but I was also already irritated). Drinks came. Then the food came out in decent time but they didn't serve our host any food. Almost 10 minutes before he brought out the food. All of this is an issue but not nearly as big an issue as :(1) not so much as a "sorry" from the server. When he finally brought my drink and my hostess's dinner he set it down and walked away. SERIOUSLY?! ;(2) manager had no idea what was going on. He brought us the check and took the hostesses dinner off. I found the manager before we left and told him exactly the experience. He was incredibly apologetic. Wanted to look at the check but we had already paid. I just wanted him to know. He said he'd talk to the server. He then came out and handed us a gift certificate. I don't look for anything more than an acknowledgement and apology so quite generous of him to give us a gift certificate. By the way, food was good. Nobody's seemed right out of the kitchen hot. Specialty drinks were also good Updated 11/13/2019 : Appreciate the managements follow-up. read more
