Negative Zero stars. This. Was. Painful. We had a reservation for a special day and assurances for specific request of table next to ocean. When we arrived confirmed with hostess of table NEXT to ocean. Person who sat us put us as far away and could not see ocean. She then told us we had two not more then 2 hours to be there. There was an open table next to the ocean but the girl who sat us said we couldn't have it. My apologies for this painful story. Continuing with the painful experience.... Then we waited over a half hour for menus. Then we waited for another 15 minutes for server to ask us what drinks we wanted. Then we waited more Then we got some water finally Then we waited for our drinks Then we waited and waited for a server to come back Then we just had a question about the menu Then when she finally came back we asked our question Then she left without taking the order Then we waited more. The people at the next table were video messaging on their phone and had the volume at the most intense. Then we listened to their conversation....another 25 minutes. We just LOVE hearing FaceTime calls while at a (high end?) restaurant Then the server came and asked if we were ready. WE WERE READY. So we ordered. Bread Conch chowder Wedge salad Stuffed shrimp Steak Iced tea We waited another 1/2 hour for just the appetizers. Then we got them and had no silverware to eat them. Then we waited and finally flagged down a server for silverware. Then they brought silverware but no spoon for the conch chowder. Then the chowder sat and got cold. Then we got a spoon for it but it was too cold to eat now. So sorry for this painful story. Then we waited and had empty glasses and nothing to drink. We waited. Another 1/2 hour. Then food appeared...but.we.still.had.no.drinks The food was not good. The shrimp were tiny, cold, and oily. The crab? stuffing, hmmmm? Was it crab or Krab? The steak Then nobody ever came back. Still no refills for drinks. Then we got a nice delivery to our table of a piece of paper in a folder. Then I placed my credit card into the folder. Then the server picked up and finally returned 1/2 hour later. Then we finally left. Now I write this experience. Painful yes. Will we return?? read more

On a beautiful friday night the upstairs bar with a view of the ocean was closed. Asked if I could get Mahi Mahi blackened, they said yes and I don't know what I got. Not blackened for sure. Drenched in some kind of sauce and it was like a piece of rubber. Could barely get a fork to go thru it. Mahi should be nice and flaky and soft. Could have bounced it off the wall..Pretty expensive and check print is so small I almost could not see it with glasses on. Barely there an hour for $86... read more

I actually really enjoy the food. Hats off to the Chef. Smoked salmon and lobster hand Helda are delicious. The reason i am giving them 3 stars is really for the service. I've sat at the bar and honestly it is just terrible. The female staff only seems to be happy and smiley with the old men. It's very strange and quite uncomfortable. If you are a group of girls and/or couples they don't really take care of you. The male bartenders were great, maybe they can teach the females how to take care of their customers. read more

Beautiful restaurant with amazing views and excellent service and food. I would like to give you an example. On the menu was whole yellowtail snapper which is my favorite. It was to be prepared grilled. I asked the waiter if it could possible be fried. His answer was I will check with the chef. The response from the chef was that was his favorite way to prepare the whole yellow. I have had whole fish many times, but I was impressed by the presentation. Some how the backbone was removed while still keeping the fish whole. Was absolutely the best. Highly recommend this restaurant. read more

My husband and I are so very happy we discovered our new FAVORITE place!! We met one of the managers, Janelle, through their curbside pickup. She was absolutely amazing & gave us a great first impression. We ordered 2 filet mignon dinners to-go. When I got home, I was overly impressed with the attention to detail & quality of how it was packaged so carefully. It smelled so good!!.... and tasted even better!!! We went back the following week & did it again!! Now that restrictions have lifted & we are in phase 1, we went back for a real sit down lunch yesterday! And Janelle remembered our names! This is a real special place! We had the Beach Burger & it was spectacular! And so was my Moscow Mule! Danielle was a great mixologist!! I am happy to announce that I am now "a regular"! read more

Well, I emailed you five days ago, like you asked and I got no response. I guess that it was not that important to you.

Erica was our server and she was so attentive to us. Very bubbly and got everything right!! Came back to the table at the appropriate times, but did not bother , annoy or rush out!! we were thrilled with her as a waitress!! read more

Great View of Pompano Pier. A little pricey but most ocean view restaurants are. Had a nice lunch here. With wine and two entrees came to $100 for lunch. Still worth a visit. My Cobb Salad was loaded with the best, smokiest chunks of bacon ever. read more

Oceanic - Cobb Salad with Chicken - Seafood Near Me - Pompano Beach, Florida

This new restaurant and bar is a welcome addition to the Pompano Beachfront restaurant scene. Food is very fresh and properly seasoned. Expect a tastebud treat from the pull apart baby back ribs and a surprise sweet and sour surprise with the accompanying apple slaw. Don't miss the horseradish sweet and heat spiced blackened Brussel sprouts! I finished my meal with a banana chocolate mousse dotted with flecks of smoked bacon! The service was very good. This new restaurant is working on the ambient noise. The exuberant laughter and chatter is absolutely deafening. A fix is in the works. read more

Recently opened and it is gorgeous. Indoor and outdoor seating casual dressy. Never had a problem getting a table right away, but it's getting popular quickly. I don't use valet parking but I always find a public parking spot and the app is easy to use. The tuna poke salad is out of this world! Delicious. My brother-in-law had the roast chicken twice so it must be good! I highly recommend this restaurant, it's trendy and fun! read more

Emily was our server for brunch and were so impressed! Honestly the best server we've ever had and my husband and I go out often. We will definitely be back thanks to her and the amazing food. read more

My husband and I live nearby and were excited to see Oceanic open recently, and we have already eaten there twice. After the first time, we would have given 5 stars, but the second visit caused us to bump it down to 4. First time we both had the special which was smoked salmon sandwiches. Salmon was excellent and had an awesome smoky taste. Serving size was very nice for a lunch. Service was very good. Second visit was for an early dinner. My husband's baby back ribs ($29) were over-cooked and just average. My cauliflower steak was delicious. It came with some battered and deep fried carrots and green beans and a wonderful dill sauce. My only complaint with it is just that for $24, I felt like it would have helped to have something besides all vegetables to make it a little more filling. I mean, I realize it's a vegetarian dish and I'm glad to see that offered, but a little scoop of rice, quinoa or mashed potatoes would have been nice. Or even a slice or two of bread would have done the trick. We were not offered any bread, but on the way out, we saw a table with bread, so I'm not sure if we were skipped or if it could have been ordered. But overall, we really like the place. The decor is beautiful, service has been great, and food is mostly awesome. We will definitely be back. It's nice to have them in the neighborhood and we hope they do well! read more

The food here is amazing, everything I tried from appetizers to the main course was delicious. The service was wonderful! The view from the patio is gorgeous. This is always the restaurant I recommend to anyone who asks for one. read more

Had dinner last night on patio. Everything way above expectations. I was shocked as to how good it was. Covid 19 precautions outstanding (I'm a physician) Had a reservation and seated immediately. Service spectacular-special shoutout to Erica-best server I have had in South Florida for some time. Food also above expectations-Ceviche outstanding. Whole snapper moist and tasty. Grilled Octopus great. Five stars!! read more

Me and my boyfriend finally made to the Oceanic yesterday after getting many recommendations on it The building is so beautiful and what a gorgeous ocean view! The food was so delicious but it was so busy in there and the cocktails took a while but Darci our waitress made our night! She was so pleasant and we could tell that she has been doing this for a while. Wonderful service by her! I would highly recommend this restaurant and they have great seafood. read more

Erica was wonderful, so nice and guide us in their menu, food was excellent and the service was incredible, this place rocks, even the manager came to my table and ask us about how everything was, I'll say everything was out of this world, tank you guys for the effort and going to the extra mile read more

DeWayne our server was very attentive. Food was very good. Salad appetizer was sufficient to be a meal. Bloody Marys were exceptional.

Good food, the stone crab craze is overrated and overpriced. The cream of mushroom soup was the best sauce to spice up the crab and calamari. read more

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. Food was amazing our server Elisha was awesome. She was fun, great service from her! Location is beautiful. They are very Covid safe. I will 100% be going back here. I live in Delray Beach and will gladly drive to Pompano to eat here again! read more

Excellent spot, sitting at the bar, you can see the ocean. Service was good, not the best. Had the surf and turf, which was pretty good as well. If you are looking for a beach side place this is a great choice. I would call ahead a day before to make a reservation if you are going during peak times. read more

This place is billed as fine dining, but, wow. The food was absolutely terrible. I love Mediterranean influenced food, but the scallop dish with harissa was inedible. In fact, we had to push it across the table because the smell was so bad. It was two great tastes that DONT taste great together. Also, weirdly, whatever they wash their wine glasses in has an overpowering floral smell so when you try to drink wine, the nose is floral hand sanitizer. It seems that this place has devoted all of their effort to ambience and forgot that food is important as well. I had the mahi, and it was cooked well, but entirely underwhelming. With so many good choices in and around the area, I'm kind of disappointed that I wasted a good dinner night here. To be fair, the Caesar and wedge salads were good. The "sun kissed" shrimp was your basic firecracker shrimp recipe. Not bad, but underwhelming. The carpaccio also was "fine". read more

Brunch was amazing. The best part was our server Jackie. She made it even more fun for all of us. I had the French toast and it was spectacular. My friends had the omlette and they loved it. read more

We just came home from a phenomenal meal at Oceanic for our mom's birthday. Our server, Gianna, was both professional and extremely personable. She was super patient and kind with our mom, and suggested our appetizers that were deLIcious! She also recommended entrees and desserts, which we really appreciated having never been there before. We enjoyed a complimentary birthday dessert for mom - the Key Lime Creme Brulee - and it was mouth watering. From start to finish it was one of the best dining experiences we've had as a family. Gianna and the staff helped make our special day a wonderful memory for our Mom :) read more

I needed a restaurant to treat a treasured friend for her birthday; her favorite food-seafood. Our first time here. The ambiance was beautiful and happy, but still calming. The hostess was delightful and the server equally friendly. We ordered the mahi and the cashew crusted salmon. Both entrees were nice size thick fish portions. Our meals were divine. Simplicity at its finest! My friend said her salmon was juicy and my mahi, also cooked to perfection, had grilled artichokes, tomatoes and asparagus with the perfect amount of lemon sauce. The peanut butter bacon mousse chocolate pie (yum) was fluffy and worth every calorie. We'll be back to try the seafood pasta or the crab cakes, and for the view! Can't wait! read more

Oceanic - mahi mahi at Oceanic Pompano Beach - Seafood Near Me - Pompano Beach, Florida

We ate here when they first opened and food was wonderful. We always wanted to come back. The hostess said that we (2 of us) would have to wait 30 minutes to sit on the patio...so we were seated inside...where I could see the lovely table for two (empty) on the patio? Anyway, we ordered the artisan bread basket ($15) and it was a nice assortment of rolls and bread...that were all stale, like they put them all in the microwave for 5 minutes. Some I could not even break apart. My husband ordered the conch chowder (no conch) and a burger and I ordered the Mahi Mahi with mango. It was a small piece of fish with no flavor at all. My husband only ate half of his burger, so I know that it wasn't very good. We were really looking forward to coming here again after we had such a wonderful meal the first time. Sorry to say that there will not be a third time. read more

The Oceanic is a favorite restaurant for many of the locals and visitors . It is located directly on the beach and next to the Pompano pier. The food and service is always A+. During the Covid-19, Oceanic has remained open for carry out. Although this is a new experience for all of us the Oceanic still continues to uphold an A+ reputation. The food is just as fabulous, and the manager Janelle and others that work the curbside have made it such a positive experience through this new normal we are all trying to find. Thank you. read more

We ate a late lunch Friday around 2pm, so the 'normal' lunch crowd was just leaving. We were greeted right away and seated overlooking the ocean! The waiter was very attentive, helpful and flexible with our unique diet and slow pace; I think he is a professional server, quite different from what we often see! We shared a Salmon entree medium rare, and it was delicious. All the food was well above what we normally expect. This is a new place and everything was right on! Later we sat at the bar right outside the restaurant. The service started out a bit slow, but we were in no rush. I think we might have hit a shift change. It got moving well a bit later. Overall we had a wonderful lunch! read more

I'm giving this one 5 Stars! Our very 1st time here, the minute we walked in we were greeted and taken to our table of choice! The view was amazing! The restaurant itself is beautiful! The vibe was inviting and the food was top tier! I ordered the Churrasco steak n eggs. The most fluffiest eggs I've ever eaten in my life! The steak was Delicious cooked medium perfectly! The potatoes were unlike any breakfast potatoes I've ever tasted! They were soft, sweet and flavorful! We will definitely be back! read more

Another Stellar restaurant beautiful great views with great food. Not sure about their wines if your a wine snob go elsewhere but go back because there's not much in Fort Lauderdale on the beach with views like this. read more

Probably the worst restaurant experience of my life. We were 5 so they would not take a reservation, must be 6 or more. We waited, like idiots, one and one half hours for a table. I could see from the staff stumbling over each other that it would not be good. My group insisted on staying. We were finally seated. Service was almost non-existent. When our bottled beer and sparkling water did come all were warm. We sent them back. After at least an hour we had to stop the waiter to get him to take our order. I alone did not order. I knew it would be horrible and pricey. Finally, after a long long wait for the food, which did not come, I excused myself and went across the street to Burger Fi and had a nice dinner on the porch. When I went back to Oceanic my friends had been served and were wild about the lousy food. Avoid Oceanic like the plague. We have excellent restaurants in this area. That entire company should be kicked out and a professional outfit should take over that wonderful new oceanfront space. I am going to check with the city to see who they are and why they are permitted to give the revived and beautiful beach area of Pompano such a terrible disservice. read more

My friend and I hosted a bridesmaid luncheon for 13. We had a great table outside with perfect ocean views. We cannot say enough about how special they made us all feel. Andrew and Gabriel were our waiters. They were very attentive, but not overly. We never had to ask for anything. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the drinks so much that we are taking our husbands back tonight. Can't wait to see the dinner menu. read more

Lovely location & property. Menu is good, food good. Defo better food out there but a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Dining Al fresco overlooking the Atlantic Ocean & Pompano's Pier was a wonderful way 2 celebrate Thanksgiving. The entire exciting experience was enhanced by the professional attention by ECREN, a top notch hospitality employee who made our time magical. read more
