I am moving to San Francisco for work. Just like most, I am looking for a place that would be suitable in all ways. I needed to be close to work, restaurants and ultimately safe! Before arriving I knew I wanted to check out the area, but honestly, I had no idea I would be in for such a treat. I didn't have an appointment, I just drove in and was greeted with a smile and the warmest welcome. I met with Gesenia, the leasing agent who just happens to be incredible. I watched as she helped other residents with so much care and patience. . I even spoke to a few residents about living there while I was touring...... they all said they loved it and they loved the staff. Needless to say, after I was done, it felt like home. My heart felt happy there so I am moving next week! If you are looking for something quiet, peaceful, friendly.....look no further. The staff and residents people make this place special! The ocean just tops it off.

Alright so the handymen are only so capable and I understand that. They are really good to my dog, Charlie. However the stench in our drain remains the same. That's not a led Zeppelin pun. Hope they can hire a plumber to fix it soon. Great view, but a really small space for $3K/month and I'm fairly certain we have a female ghost here. I can't prove it, but if she keeps scaring us I will investigate further. I really hope there isn't a death related to the stench in our drains.

In addition, ants ended up on our bed and dresser and I was told to just "spray raid". So idk how much raid I inhaled, while pregnant, since management suggested that instead of contracting an exterminator. They only care about money

View from my unit. This is one of the most sought after units thus competitive to get.

Oceanaire is a top of the line apartment complex. The buildings were designed and built in a staggered way so you share minimal wall space with your neighbors and have maximum light and views. The place is over 40 years old but has been kept up in as new condition, and generally is very well maintained. There is a large area with a variety of units available at different price ranges. The units near Palmetto Dr are less costly than the ocean view units on Esplanade. The web site has a detailed map and it is daily maintained for availability. Check your units you might be interested in and use the web site to look at month end dates in the future to see what is coming available. I had my eye on two sets of units so I monitored the web site daily and as soon as one came available I applied and got it. There are 2 bedroom, 1 bedroom and studio units. Each has parking in a secure garage. Each has washer, dryer dishwasher, garage disposal. Bathrooms have tub and shower and low flow toilets. There is no storage but you can put low profile storage units on your deck if needed. Visitor parking is a problem in this complex as certain tenants take advantage of lax enforcement. Street parking is often available so so far it is not a huge problem. I have asked they start enforcing rules so my guests have a place to park when visiting. So far no response. This is my only gripe with the place. There is easy access to the beach next to the property. Whale watching is epic. Weather is cool and windy and sometimes foggy .... in other words .... Pacifica. Good walking trails and easy walking or driving access to the Safeway shopping area. Lots of places to go, including The Chit Chat Cafe, a great place for local, live music. Access to Highway 1 North or South is very easy. Also access to Skyline highway 35 and Interstate 280 are with a mile or two. Oceana Pool at the High school is a mile and a half from the apartments and is available for swimming and water aerobics 6 days a week. 24 Hour Fitness is 1/2 mile away. Paragliders fly by all the time and there are tons of fisherman and surfers. I moved from one unit to another after 8 months on a 12 month lease. We were able to easily figure out a very fair adjustment to my lease letting me upgrade from a great place to one that is epic (see the picture). I appreciate how responsive the owners and staff were in making this happen. Cable access OK here Comcast and AT&T. Satellite dishes are allowed but can be problematic given we are at the beach. This place is very pet friendly. It is non smoking. This place has all I need. View, quiet, amenities, courteous and responsive staff, well maintained, parking, access to town and to freeways and extras.

I just finished moving out of my apartment at OceanAire after living there for 9 months. I was moving to the Bay Area and needed to find something quick, easy, and safe and OceanAire was just that. I knew I couldn't stay long term due to it being out of my budget but it would be manageable for the short term with money I had saved. If money wasn't an issue I would have never left! They're pricey but it's definitely worth it. Not only is the quality of living very high but their team of staff is what makes them truly stand out. Gina helped me from the beginning, showing me the units that were available and everything else after with getting approved and signing the lease. She should be the standard for leasing agents, so patient, warm and personable, and not pushy whatsoever. The manager, Zee is also one of the nicest people I've come across in the CA rental industry. She's incredibly responsive to emails and any issues and is really everything you'd want in an apartment manager. Maintenance requests were always resolved very quickly which was really nice. I really can't think of 1 bad or negative thing over the last 9 months I spent there. Definitely an amazing place to live if you have the chance, take it!

My mother lives here and I've my kids favorite place to go. Serene community, tons of amenities (including hot tub). Currently enjoying the attached view!

Cons: - storage lockers are all different sizes so you'll never know what kind of space you'll end up having - some garages are manual and some have a remote (you pay extra $50/mo for it) - occasionally, you'll hear airplanes fly over you (airport nearby) and can hear a bit of cars driving over the freeway (since that's kind of your view from the balcony). - heat stays in well esp. in the summer and since there is no AC in the unit, you gotta open your windows often (thank god the sliding window doors are huge and there is a screen). - closest mailbox is wayyyy up the hill (a block away) on Gellert. - you gotta mail rent to the landlord every month instead of being able to walk over and hand it over to the apartment manager.

Love this location in my 2.5 years of renting…read more Pro: - Large unit, no one is above or below you. - Good sound isolation between units; you don't hear the sound from your neighbors. - Well maintained. The maintenance person (Mike) fixed anything in a day whenever I called him. - The property manager is professional and prompt in responding my queries. - In unit garage, storage room, water and garbage are all included. - Next to highway and 7 minutes driving to BART station. - Large window and patio. Good view. Cons: - Quite noisy since 280 is right next to the apartment and air planes fly over your head. - Daly city is very foggy and wet. - Laundry is shared between units and can sometimes be crowded by your neighbors; but at least it is available in the building. - No security system (e.g. surveillance camera). The neighborhood is mostly a safe residential area, but my bike got stolen while parked the garage. The management was unable to do much other than having me file a police report.

I am absolutely disgusted by the management at Sea Cliff Apartments in Pacifica…read more There is a missing cat that has been gone since March 6th and was last seen on their property. Instead of showing even the smallest amount of compassion, management is refusing to allow the owner onto the premises to search for her own pet. Let that sink in. A terrified animal is potentially on their property, and the person who loves and cares for that cat is being denied access to even look for her. This is not just heartless, it is inhumane. What makes this even worse is that residents reportedly want to help but are too afraid to do so because management has created an environment of fear. People feel like they could be threatened or even lose their housing if they speak up, help search, or even call out for the cat. That is absolutely outrageous. We are not talking about a loud party or a disturbance. We are talking about someone quietly trying to find their missing pet, which for many people is family, their child. Blocking someone from searching for their lost animal when it was last seen on your property is cruel, unnecessary, and frankly shameful. A decent management team would show empathy and work with the owner and residents, not silence them. If this is how Sea Cliff Apartments treats people and animals in a time of distress, that says everything you need to know about their values. I would never feel comfortable living somewhere that operates with this level of intimidation and lack of humanity.

Pros: Spacious unit, there's a shared tandem garage for tenants in the building. Peaceful, quiet surroundings. Cons: There are no in unit washer/dryer (which is a must have for us). One thing to note is while trying to schedule for our tour for not just this place, but the other two properties - The Bluffs and Pacific Bay Vista, it was rather confusing. We first tried to schedule tour on the website, which seems straightforward, but once it's booked, we never received any text or email confirmation. I then tried chatting with the AI agent on the website, which informed me the tour was not booked since the time I chosen was not available, despite it showing up in the selection when you go through the tour booking option. The AI agent then proceed to help me book a tour for a different time, which I still didn't receive any confirmation after waiting 2 days. I finally called the number on the website during working hour (despite having different phone numbers on all 3 of these properties' website, the similar experience and obstacles let me to realize they are managed by the same company lol), and was connected to an offsite agent who helped me work out the scheduling. Shortly after, I received a text from another agent Lindsay regarding the tour and asked if I would like to do all 3 properties on the same day, which I agreed to (assuming it was all coordinated). The tour itself went smoothly on the day. It's just a bit confusing to navigate, so for anyone who is interested in scheduling a tour with this property (or any other properties managed by them) I recommend calling the number instead of trying to book it yourself on the website.

From a superficial POV, the complex is literally a short walk to the beach and pier, which is great. When my friends visited, they always asked to scope out the beach and Mori Point and told me how jealous they were of where I lived. Yes, the building could be newer and a renovation is in order, but for the convenient location (close to CA-1, 280, beach, Mori Point, cute neighborhood restaurants and cafe), nice staff, and comparatively low rent, it's not too bad. Palmetto is undergoing serious development, so the social scene will likely change, too. Some nice views, too, if you're willing to pay extra!
