Lived here. Loved it…read more Pros: - I love the upgraded granite counter-tops in the kitchen and the bathroom. - very nicely painted rooms - high ceiling. - great lighting. my PG&E bill was less than $15/mo on average. only had to turn on the apt heater twice...ever! - no one lives below you or above you if you're in the studio units - 6-months lease option - low move-in deposit ($400 for studio apt) - great apt mgr: Randall is a nice guy. - cell ph reception for AT&T is good for the most part - you get one assigned covered parking space and a storage unit - water & garbage is included - conveniently close to the freeway, restaurants, and Pak n Save grocery. - nicely insulated rooms since you barely hear your next door neighbor unless they have several ppl over to watch a game or a fight. - plenty of street parking for guests or your additional vehicle. Cons: - storage lockers are all different sizes so you'll never know what kind of space you'll end up having - some garages are manual and some have a remote (you pay extra $50/mo for it) - occasionally, you'll hear airplanes fly over you (airport nearby) and can hear a bit of cars driving over the freeway (since that's kind of your view from the balcony). - heat stays in well esp. in the summer and since there is no AC in the unit, you gotta open your windows often (thank god the sliding window doors are huge and there is a screen). - closest mailbox is wayyyy up the hill (a block away) on Gellert. - you gotta mail rent to the landlord every month instead of being able to walk over and hand it over to the apartment manager.

Love this location in my 2.5 years of renting…read more Pro: - Large unit, no one is above or below you. - Good sound isolation between units; you don't hear the sound from your neighbors. - Well maintained. The maintenance person (Mike) fixed anything in a day whenever I called him. - The property manager is professional and prompt in responding my queries. - In unit garage, storage room, water and garbage are all included. - Next to highway and 7 minutes driving to BART station. - Large window and patio. Good view. Cons: - Quite noisy since 280 is right next to the apartment and air planes fly over your head. - Daly city is very foggy and wet. - Laundry is shared between units and can sometimes be crowded by your neighbors; but at least it is available in the building. - No security system (e.g. surveillance camera). The neighborhood is mostly a safe residential area, but my bike got stolen while parked the garage. The management was unable to do much other than having me file a police report.

The staff is unprofessional, and the customer service is far from welcoming. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Before signing a lease, I strongly suggest visiting the property at different times of the day and night. The environment is consistently cold and uninviting, and for the amount of money tenants pay, the treatment we receive is simply unfair. Whenever you request maintenance, two things usually happen: the service is poor, and the quality of the work is even worse. Nothing about it feels professional. To give just one example: two days ago, my child was sick and my partner had no parking available. I parked in a spot marked "Employee Parking." There were no warning signs beyond that. The manager decided to call a towing company, and I had to pay $994.61 to retrieve my car the next day. I discovered the car was gone only after investigating myself--no one notified me by phone or email. The car seat for my child was inside, and the vehicle was towed at 9:45 p.m., well outside the posted Saturday business hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This action felt malicious and inconsiderate, with no thought given to the consequences for residents. Additionally, as other reviews have mentioned, tenants are fined for trash left outside--even when it is not in the city-required containers. Overall, I do not recommend renting here. The management and staff show no empathy toward residents. They collect their salaries but fail to resolve problems, and their behavior is consistently unprofessional.

Pros: Very spacious unit, huge balcony and great view (the unit we toured and liked was on the 3rd floor, with view of part of the mountain, trees and ocean - one of our top contender). Peaceful, quiet surroundings. Love the idea of having washer and dryer on the balcony instead of inside the unit. Cons: One thing to note is while trying to schedule for our tour for not just this place, but the other two properties - The Bluffs and Pacifica Park, it was rather confusing. We first tried to schedule tour on the website, which seems straightforward, but once it's booked, we never received any text or email confirmation. I then tried chatting with the AI agent on the website, which informed me the tour was not booked since the time I chosen was not available, despite it showing up in the selection when you go through the tour booking option. The AI agent then proceed to help me book a tour for a different time, which I still didn't receive any confirmation after waiting 2 days. I finally called the number on the website during working hour (despite having different phone numbers on all 3 of these properties' website, the similar experience and obstacles let me to realize they are managed by the same company lol), and was connected to an offsite agent who helped me work out the scheduling. Shortly after, I received a text from another agent Lindsay regarding the tour and asked if I would like to do all 3 properties on the same day, which I agreed to (assuming it was all coordinated). The tour itself went smoothly on the day. It's just a bit confusing to navigate, so for anyone who is interested in scheduling a tour with this property (or any other properties managed by them) I recommend calling the number instead of trying to book it yourself on the website. We did end up deciding on another apartment complex that's a better fit for our current needs, but will definitely keep PBV in mind in the future (or recommend to anyone who is looking to relocate to the area).

Behind it is nothing but misery , rats, mold, very poor insulation, constant noise, and a management team that does absolutely nothing but collect your money. We paid almost $2,800 a month and never once had the right to quiet enjoyment. Prometheus Management is a disgrace. They ignored every serious issue, hid behind empty warnings, and left tenants to suffer until they have no other choices but to move out .This place is not a home , it's a trap. Ask yourself this: If it wasn't so bad, why would we still, years later, go out of our way to rewrite this review? That's how traumatizing this experience was. To this day, we carry the damage and the only reason we keep speaking out is so your family doesn't go through the same misery and nightmare we lived.. Our statutory right to quiet enjoyment, a fundamental covenant under landlord-tenant law, was never recognized, upheld or respectd. I lived here from 2013-2026…read more The management is WILDLY mismanaged. Ronnie and Denis are incredibly rude and completely unhelpful. When they redid the patios we had to pay even though we were on the bottom and all of our stored belongings (patio chairs, BBQ, etc.) were lost, our plants destroyed, and our patio got smaller while losing access to water. I called before the project started, during the project, and long after to ensure my items and plants would be safe/returned. I called and emailed for over a year trying to locate my items. They promised my plants/trees would be watered when I couldn't access them during the work. A few died and the rest had to be completely cut back. I emailed and called dozens of times with no responses. I eventally found my BBQ in the trash area near a toilet and used mattress, propane tank missing, which I clearly didn't want to cook food on again. It was obviously unsanitary. A 3 month balcony repair led to a 16 month ordeal. We were also accessed for a solar project and there was NO transparency in PGE bills. They went up and up with no information on how these panels we paid for saved us anything. HOA bills have weird charges. We kept getting charged for over a year for our dog who had passed away. I called the HOA twice upon her passing to stop being charged and no one would update the account. I found charges on our bill labeled "miscellaneous" and when I called to inquire about them nobody could tell me what those charges were for. I had neighbors who had auto-bill and were charged twice by mistake. The hallway floors are filthy. When we first moved in they were regularly cleaned. That stopped years ago. ***That said I loved my neighbors. I seriously had the best neighbors ever. Maintenance was also wonderful! They were prompt and so helpful.***

The elevator always smells disinfected and the apartment is usually very clean. I lived on the top floor facing the freeway, and the noise cancelling isn't the best. However, it wasn't a deal breaker for me. I got a foot surgery and was disabled for a good 9 weeks. I lived here alone, and the kind team always offered a lot of help even when I was too shy to ask for it. The management is definitely a 5 star here. Peter in particular is so kind and such a gentleman always. I enjoyed the location since it is right next to the freeway, but you do hear the freeway (Give and take). The repairs were always done within a day and I really didn't have any major issues that made me feel uncomfortable. Give it a tour if you're looking for a nice apartment to stay in. Pre pandemic, the apartment would organize events for tenants to gather also which was really cool. I rented a one bedroom facing the freeway and I will really miss the view of the freeway.

I love the location, the views of the water (South Bay in front, Pacific coast in back). I am no expert in Chinese geomancy, but the Feng-shui of this place must be exceptional. At 700 feet above sea level and in an atmospheric river of pristine air, it is a healthy and inherently GOOD spot. There are no finer views than when the sun rises over the hills to the east, and the sunset reflected off those same hills in the evening is dazzling, day after day. My favorite room in the apartment is the balcony, and I spend the lion's share of my time at home outside all year round, thanks to the exceptionally fair Mediterranean climate. My favorite tiny songbirds (Pygmy Nuthatches) come and eat from hand, as if I had somehow perfected some old Daoist trick! This fine location provides for a 15 minute commute to my job in San Francisco (Produce Market area). The hiking trails near Skyline College, Mori Ridge, Sweeney Ridge and Milagra Ridge (the northernmost foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains) keeps me alive. I have hiked over 10,000 miles along these trails over the past 10 years (twice on weekends, and several weekdays after work), and it is my intent to double that over the next decade or so. The office staff and the maintenance guys are wonderful people. They are polite and responsive and the upkeep of the facilities is outstanding. The neighbors in my building are kind and friendly folks, always a pleasure to see. What it all boils down to is this: the use-value in renting an apartment such as this is inestimable. If you're lucky enough to live here, you're lucky enough!
