So my girls and I decided to pamper ourselves and after calling around to a couple of places, this place was the only one that could accommodate 4 girls on such short notice, without making it sound like they were doing us a HUGE favor by having our business... It's a nice little place tucked inside a shopping center on the second floor. It was a 4:30 on a Sunday so it wasn't too busy. We were greeted right away by a friendly man and were told to pick our colors. We all had pedicures, with two of us getting manicures as well. The pedicures were nice and while my girl did not drain my rub after she was done with me (ick..always always drain and clean asap!), I noticed that the woman doing my friend's pedicure did drain/clean it right away. So maybe it was just a fluke but yeah..feet creep me out and I don't want some other person's foot skin all over MY foot. I got the regular pedicure which included a salt scrub and a lotioning/short foot massage. At the end they put a HOT towel on your feet. I can take the heat, but I think it would be good to either test the towel or at the very least tell the costumer you're about to hot-towel them :P Manicures were good too! The woman that did my fingernails was quick and efficient but the quality was still there. Hand massage was also included in the regular manicure so that was nice. Overall a nice place to go to if you're in the area and don't want to break the bank. I would rate this place a 3.5. Gotta take of a little for that tub of dirty foot water..sorry! read more

FINALLY a place where I leave happy and satisfied every time. Honestly, the thing that really sets them apart from any and every other nail salon I've been to and reviewed is that the people who work there are all nice. No dirty looks, no odd stares, they smile back at you. They are very friendly, and by contrast to any other nail place they are a million times nicer. Maybe this doesnt make all the differnce for everyone but it does for me. That said, everything else about the salon is great! Average to slightly lower prices that average, great selection of poish and different packages. They offer tea and coffee and water. The decor is beautiful, very clean, and the massage chairs sure as heck do their jobs. All of the different girls who have done my nails have done a great job I havent ever had a complaint about quality. Call for an appointment though, they are awesome so they can get pretty busy. read more

Came here for my bridal acrylic set , I'm an indecisive person and picky also , I beleive I had Pauline , and I wanted a natural ombre and she tried with powder and then I ended up having to switch my idea,. She managed to do the best and 2 more ladies stopped by to see and help with the ombre cause she didn't know how to do it. But we did it and I couldn't be more happier. Thank you! Got a gel mani/pedi, and I am not impressed. I paid $87, the massage chair was never turned on (nor offered to be turned on) the lady who did my manicure didn't ask me if I wanted my nails cut (or filed), she decided to cut them on her own. All in all it was 40 minutes between the time I walked in and the time I walked out. Usually I am helped to put my shoes back on, (a nice touch) I had to fish my shoes out from under the pedicure chair myself. Lastly, no excuse for a bad attitude from both women who helped me. I've been going here for a few months now. Every two weeks like clock work. Always get a gel manicure and regular pedicure with upgrades. My nails never chip off and they treat you better than most other salons I've been to. Tried this nail salon out because it's close to my gym and they open early. I picked a picture that I saw on Pinterest and the girl I had helped me adjust it to fit me more, I do hair and the picture I had was a lighter color nail which could be stained by color, she helped me change it to a darker color but still kept the fun design I wanted. What a nightmare. Take an hour and a half for a pedicure, and it was seriously the worst thing I have ever seen. I could actually do a better job myself after a bottle of wine. The lady was so bad I had to tell her to wipe it and start completely over. I wanted little hearts on my toes of Valentines Day, what I got were drunken blobs. I finally had to get her to stop and get another lady to redo it. It was so awkward out of sheer embarrassment for the situation I will never come back. I feel bad too cause I have come here before and had a great time, but after that my confidence in the place is shot. read more

I'm really happy with my gel manicure and pedicure from Ocean View Nails. Helen did my manicure and Lin did my pedicure, and they were both really great. I'm super picky and my nails we're done very neatly. The ladies were really organized, too. They had everything they needed right there with them, so no wasting time looking for this or that. I like them a certain way and Scott listened to me.I am very happy with the way they came out and have a set appointment for every other week with Scott. The lady that did my manicure was one of the worst. I really don't want to use any more of my time to go into detail so just know that she hurried through my manicure as though she either didn't care or had something much more important to do (no they were not that busy and she did not have another client that she started on immediately after me). She did not take time to shape my nails when she f...iled them. When I asked her not to clip my cuticles I guess she didn't think I meant it because she kept doing it anyway. She didn't bother to push down my cuticles since I didn't want them clipped. The polish job was rushed and sloppy. Manicurists need to realize that most people do not want cheep lotion and oil rubbed into their sleeve edge that has been pushed up as far as possible. This was not a good experience. It was not a relaxing experience. It is not an experience that I will ever repeat. read more

I think I have really bad luck with nail salons. I've been here twice now, and yes the salon is very nice and seems super clean. The people are all very nice that I've dealt with as well. But, I've had a pedicure both times here with french tip and i've just been very disappointed. This last time my toes started chipping after 3 days. Usually my pedicures last me 3+ weeks. And I don't feel like I get a thorough clean/file/callous remover when I come here. read more

Salon has very nice decor and ambiance. And generally when you get service it is good- but the scheudling is terrible if you need acrylics. I like no appointment needed, life is busy and dropping in works best for me, It doesnt' work for these guys though. I went in three times in a week to get a fill and finally just went somehwere else, where they did a good job and were busy (like this place) but could actually provide service. Daughter received gels started chipping after two days, went in after the holiday and front desk led us to think they would fix it and then proceeded to charge for a full set. Dishonest and deceitful and manager was rude. Clearly only care about making a buck. Also, my polish change was terrible. Did not paint on the sides of nails. Would give it 3 stars but this describes my experiences exactly- Meh. If you just want a regular mani/pedi then this place isn't bad. If you don't care that the technician is not certified or had actual CND/OPI gel nail training then again this place isn't bad. I usually go to the Perfect 10, but they are appt only and I really needed to get my gel nails redone after exposing my nails to insect repellent and sunscreen during my vacation (it weakens the polish). I had an ok experience with my pedicure so I thought that this place would be an ok alternative. Major fail on my end. I straight up asked the technician if she had an formal training with the CND product and her reply was "everyone does it different". I knew that she wasn't properly trained when the following happened 1) she buffed my nails, 2) did not vigorously shake the polish before applying, 3) did not turn the timer on the light box until I asked her after noticing that they were in there longer than 2 minutes! (which is not a CND UV brand light box), 4) she applied the polish like it was mascara wiggling it around at the base and then pulling it up, 5) applied the gel up to my cuticle in some spots. The result- streaky color that looks ombre-d and messy around my cuticles. She also tried to over correct by using a file to remove some of the polish near the cuticle on my nail (I've never seen anyone else do this). She became irritated when I asked why she was applying a 3rd coat of polish to my pointer finger...won't this finger be darker than the rest or possibly bubble from being too thick? She did it anyway and sure enough it was too dark. I made her redo it much to her dismay and I can't say that it made much difference. My cuticles were peeling the next day. Also wanted to note that there was a lot of lint floating around the salon so she was consistently having to pick this out of the gel. For $30 the quality should be better especially when they cost more than my other nail place with actual certified technicians and actual CND product (from the light box, foils/acetone, and even the hand wash!). When I got home I was so disappointed that I painted over the gel with a similar nail polish color and they look 100x's better. Glad I paid $30 to just paint over it. I tried to see if the other technicians had their license on display but did not see any, isn't this the law?? I'll never cheat on my nail technician again after this experience. read more

This is like the Nordstrom of nail salons :) Top knotch, high quality, clean, spotless. It is located upstairs in Ocean view plaza in San Clemente near Ralph's. It is clean, modern, clean, and well kept. The owners, Kim and Glen, really take pride in their business the service they offer to their customers. All of the technicians are hard working and committed to doing quality work. I have been getting acrylic nails for the past 5 years and I finally, after much thought, decided to take them off and go natural. I forgot who did my manicure, but she removed my acrylics with minimal discomfort, cleaned up my natural nails, and gave me a nice gel manicure with the new gel polish. I've had it for over a week now and they still look brand new. ...no chipping! The next day on lunch I went back for a pedicure and I forgot the techs name again, but she took her time on my feet and they look perfect as well! I felt like both times they were taking the time to ensure I had a great experience and was happy with my service. Every other nail salon that I've gone to (I've gone to ALOT) is always in a rush to get through my service and get me out. Not here!! I'm glad that I finally tried Ocean view nails. They have won me over as a loyal customer and I highly recommend them. read more

I never go to the same technician because I've had a good experience with all of them. They NEVER try to up-sell me and always make me feel comfortable when I'm there.
