Wanted to treat myself after doing my own pedicures for the last two years and found Color Spa on Yelp! Thankfully they were able to fit me in for a basic pedicure walk-in. I called ahead just to be sure. As soon as you walk in the salon is super bright and clean and they have dozens of OPI colors to choose from, plus seasonal colors/new releases at the front. I grabbed two and Elizabeth helped me chose the final color for fall. Even though I just got a basic pedicure, the attention to detail really impressed me. She took her time w cuticle care and filing and buffing, and the salt scrub and massage were very relaxing. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would!!! The salon: First of all this place is infested with flies! There were flying bugs everywhere!!! It was impossible to get my nail polish on because the bugs kept coming onto my toes. there were THAT many! It was horrible!!! I spent 99% of my time in my seat waving away the bugs. So gross and unsanitary. also, the entire place smelled like smoke! I think it's coming from outside - but man, they should light a candle or something. The scent was disgusting. It seems like the ladies who work there are aware of it and just don't care to fix it. The service: My toes look horrible! I like a simple finish and for that reason I do not get gel - but omg it just looks like there are globs of layers and layers of polish on my toes. Literally the worst experience ever. I'm from Baltimore and came here with my husband for vacation. Decided on a whim to get a mani/pedi. Called them this morning, made a reservation for a few hours later. Owner was pleasant on the phone. The person who did my nails was professional and kind, and did an excellent job. I got the Day Spa Pedicure and the Vitamin E Manicure and I highly recommend both as they are priced appropriately. They didn't cut any corners and the massages were lovely. This is my second time coming to Color Spa and I'm satisfied with their service. I called to book and was able to be seen same day. Parking is always easy to find. They have a waiting area outside. As far as I've seen, they only offer polish or gel, no acrylic sets. I got the summer pedicure "Fresh lime" something and a basic manicure. I deducted one star because this is my second time and it feels as though the pedicure "massage" portion is always rushed. Usually other places set a timer, but they do not do that at this place. Another thing to note is this is located right next to a cigar shop, so every now and then you can smell the smoke. I don't mind it too much but just a note for those who do. Oh yes, I also got a gift for trying their summer special pedicure, it's the clay mask that was used for my pedicure. I think it's a cute touch to promote their special pedicures. read more

I'm in LOVE with this place! I use to come here often when I was in middle school with my mom until I moved further away and haven't been back for ~7 years. Elizabeth recently remodeled her shop and it's beautiful. She's adding on new services like dipping powder, eyebrows microblading/powder, and eyelash extensions!! Her spa services this time includes vitamin E treatment, pumpkin spice, day spa, milk & honey, and coffee scrub. When I came in, I got my lashes done + a mani pedi. They really utilize their time wisely. They start me off on the chair to clean up my hands and feet then they transfer me into the lash room where I felt like a complete princess. Diana did my lashes while I got my mani pedi. I was sooo relaxed!! I literally woke up feeling pretty. Lashes and nails all done ! I got a volume set and I love it! I'll be back in a few weeks to get my fill. Contact the shop for more details! Having my lashes makes getting ready so much easier and faster in the morning. For my nails I got gel with half almond/stiletto shape and a vitamin E pedicure. My feet was so dry and had a lot of callus but after the treatment it's so much softer. Did Color Nails change ownership? Definitely changed staff and standards... no more bubbly friendly girls, now just scrawling mute women working in silence, no more sterile pouches, now just ziplock bags. I used to love this place, just see my review from 7 years ago. I moved away for a couple years, came back and it's totally different now. I thought it was a one time fluke at first, so I came back 2 more times and the experience has been mediocre at best each time. The lady doing my mani/pedi today wasn't bad, but had a hard time communicating with her. I told her twice that I wanted a different color on my ring finger, but she still proceeded to paint all my nails the same color, I had to pull my hand away and took a lot of pointing to convey that I wanted just one nail in a different color than the rest... The quality has dropped substantially from several years ago, it's not terrible but what a shame. read more

I'd often feel rushed and as if they weren't paying enough attention to what they were doing and I was afraid getting nicked. But after going to Color Spa I learned what it should feel like. They're much more attentive, it's quiet, peaceful, relaxing, they do a great job and you feel pampered and pricing is competitive. For me the only hard thing is getting an appointment. RUN AWAY. The lady running this place is quite mean, and she is bad at doing a basic pedicure. Their regular polish selection is quite limited. Also, the salon reeks of cigarettes, which is extremely nauseating for me. There are a million nail salons around- for your own sake, I urge you to find a different one. read more

Honestly super sad about my experience!! I just moved here from Chicago. I'm the type of gal that goes to the same nail tech forever if they do a good job. I was in here one week ago. I've always gotten dip on my nails. Literally for the last 3 years of my life I've gotten dip. I thought it was so weird that the dip wasn't even dip it was one coat of dip & then gel... which is odd because I've never had it done that way. I also had a problem with the tech filing my nails too thin after I had told her repeatedly my nails were hurting. They actually got red. I also got a pedicure that was nothing special they charged me $50 for a color change basically. It's one week later. My color was chipping off, it was separating from my nail, and now most of the color has completely ripped off of my nails. It took me SO long to grow my natural nails out and now they're ruined and nubby my nails are in so much pain. I'd NEVER go here again. What a waste of $80. read more

I would consider my review 3.5 Stars, rather than 3. My experience wasn't horrible, just not sure if I will return. When I walked in, color nails & spa seemed moderately busy, I asked if it was possible to receive a gel manicure with a soak off of my previous manicure. The woman at the front (who was very welcoming) thought for a moment and then said it would be alright. When I sat down, the woman doing my manicure didn't say anything to me, only asked about the color I wanted, which was alright. She began to work on my nails and seemed to be doing a wonderful job, cleaning up around my nail with acetone as she worked when a smudge was made. I was content, as she was taking her time. Everything was alright until three more people walked into the shop. Then, a woman (seemed to be the owner) said something to the girl who was doing my manicure, she was upset about something, being stern with her. The manicurist began to work quickly and then messed up a few times. I can feel the top coat of the gel around the nail on my skin, it cured to my skin, instead of the nail because she was rushing. This isn't the best feeling and usually this means it has a better chance of peeling off my nail. Although yelp says that a gel manicure with a soak off of previous polish says that it is $35, it is actually $38. And although this isn't much of a difference, it can add up when you're a student! :P We'll see how the manicure lasts over the next 3 weeks, and I'll decide then if it was worth the price. I don't usually mean to sound pessimistic, and it wasn't the worst manicure I've received of course; I'm just not sure if I felt welcomed during my hour spent in the shop. read more

Best pedicure I've had since I moved here from San Francisco. Polish was PERFECT, not a single flaw. I got the lime pedi for $32 and it was awesome. Scrub felt great, massage was on the longer side, and the mask was super interesting (I've never had a mask done on my feet, would recommend). Also, the massage chairs are really comfy and don't feel old and gross like some places normally do. The staff was really nice. It felt more professional/high end because they took their time doing your nails, so it actually feels like a spa treatment, not just an average quick-polish. Lastly, they take card and don't pressure you to pay cash. I really appreciate that because I never have cash on me. Would highly recommend if you're in the area! read more

I made an appointment and there was minimal wait when I got there. Everyone who was working there was friendly and courteous. Nobody tried to upsell anything although I decided to splurge since I was a bit stressed. I tried one of their $40 coffee lover pedi (this was last May) which was really pampering. I also loved the coffee smell, it didn't smell artificial. Jenny did my pedi and she was super nice. She tried to have a conversation with me but I was just kinda out of it. She was cool about the whole thing. Jenny also took her time to massage my tired legs which is really appreciated if you ask me. I tipped her well because I did have a relaxing time mostly because of her. Another girl did my french mani while Jenny was doing my pedi. The other girl didn't really do anything notable. In fact, I think she only did 40 seconds of massaging on each of my arms and it wasn't even decent. I hardly felt anything, she might as well have just been spreading lotion. However, she did do a good job on my french mani and the mani lasted almost two weeks without chipping. I'd come back again but I really hope that I get Jenny or someone who can do a decent massage. This place seems clean and the staff seem to be mostly professional. It's a nice treat and worth it. read more

Color Nails and Spa is by far the BEST nail salon that I have ever been to. The staff is so friendly and courteous. They have many spa chairs to keep the wait down. Their promotions such as $5 off all pedicures on tuesday and wednesdays are perfect! The salon is so clean and the smell of apple cinnamon wafts through the air. The relaxing music pumping through the speakers is perfect for deep relaxation. The prices are right, and you will most definitely get your moneys worth!!!! Colors also handles large groups well. For homecoming/winter formal/prom we had 8-13 girls in the salon at once and the staff was great helping us all out, offering water, tea or anything else we needed.
