I'm really disappointed with my experience here. I got my nails done while visiting family from out of town, and just two days later one of my nails completely came off. Since I don't live nearby, I asked for a refund instead of a redo. At first, the lady I was texting was very responsive, but as soon as I mentioned a refund, I got silence. She then came back to say they'd give me "$5 off" It's frustrating to spend money on something that doesn't even last a few days, and then be ignored when asking for a fair solution. Definitely not the kind of customer service I'd expect, and unfortunately I won't be returning or recommending this salon. read more

So I had my first time X gel new set here and did a cat eye nails! She was nice and friendly and the best in communication but the job was poor to be fair! Did she try her best? 100% , was that enough? Nope! Why? Because we ho to nail salon to get a PROFESSIONAL job not just a nail done! So now after about 2 weeks, my nails are coming off and I just knew it from the first place because the base next to the nail lines were not fixed well! Quality was so bad! I had a bad experience here in the past, but my sister loves this place because it has great ventilation through the open balcony door and an ocean view and it's so highly rated on yelp I wanted to give it another chance. I made an appointment for three people to get pedicures. We picked our colors and only one of us had to wait a few minutes for a nail tech to be available. A young male nail tech (his license was not on display and he did not give me his name) was doing my pedicure and he did a rushed job on my cuticles and it hurt. Then he massaged my foot and ankle so painfully hard, I politely asked him to skip the massage. I thought that he cut me while trimming my cuticles and nails because it hurt and I saw red but it turns out, he just got nail polish on part of my toe and hadn't removed it until I said something. Two stars because he didn't cut me and they do have an ocean view. read more

Nice, spacious salon, I used to go here all the time when I lived here. They have been open for many years. I got a pedicure, my girlfriend got a mani and pedi, and my granddaughter got a mani. They were very nice and patient with my 3-year-old granddaughter. They do pretty much any service you might need and have a wide selection of polishes, gels, and powders. Wow, just wow. Worst nail salon I've been to. And I've been to Many. The place is filthy and I was embarrassed that I had brought my mother in law to this place for her first mani-pedi. Stained old chairs, stained towels, dirty floors and just everything they had seemed dirty and messy. Also, none of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Pedicure went alright, it was just average but the lady who did our manicure was so sloppy, she was cutting my cuticles so fast not paying full attention to it and cut my finger, twice. It started bleeding and she says "oh you don't have cuticles that's why! You're nails are nice!" She did apologize eventually after telling her many times that it was hurting but it didn't feel sincere. She also made my daughter's finger bleed who got a mani by her right before me, not to mention the paint job was also sloppy as can be and she finished each of us in just under 10min. 6hrs later and my finger is still hurting, Worst manicure ever. read more

The powder dip was done SO fast and sloppy and my nails were cut way too short. On top of that, I showed a color I wanted and they couldn't even find a similar one. My daughter & I both love each staff member. Bambi is particularly good at acrylics but you can't go wrong with anyone at Bella Terrace. The place is clean, joyful & comfortable. We just recently added waxing with Ivy to our routine. The best! One stop shopping at Bella Terrace. My daughter is constantly complemented on her nails, coffin shaped acrylics. I just had dip & tip, French manicure done for the 1st time for a vacation, after years of beautiful gel at Bella Terrace. I got 2 compliments in the airplane! Loving my new nails! I went in on a Friday at 615p (45 minutes before they closed) without an appointment and they graciously accepted to do my gel removal and gel manicure. I ended up being the last person in and even though they were closing, they were patient and kind enough to take their time to finish my nails with the utmost professionalism. Don't waste your time/money!! Just wanted to get a mani and pedi done today. Called ahead to make sure it was okay to come in out of courtesy since I didn't have an appointment. I had acrylic on and as nail technician was removing the acrylic she was very rough and not experienced. She used a sharp white plastic to remove the acrylic from my nails. I let her know it was hurting and she kept going until she cut through my nail and I started bleeding. She brushed it off, told me it was okay, and that she would just put a tip on top to cover it. I immediately felt frustrated, my finger was bleeding, my nail mostly cut. The manager Ivy came over tried to fix it and removed the remaining acrylic. I asked for her manager/ owner of the shop and she was very hesitant at giving me the name or number because she did not want me to file a complaint. At the end she gave me a number that I don't think belonged to the owner of the shop. I'm writing this so others can stay away from this shop. If they can't simply removed acrylic, own up to their mistakes, and disclose information about their manager then I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

We just moved to Dana Point so I was in search of a new nail salon. Mimi did a great job on my pedicure. I called ahead to make an appointment for two pedicures for myself & my mom. We wanted just the basic pedicure since I couldn't be away from the baby for too long. She was quick as I had requested and did a careful, thorough job. The price was reasonable. We were pleased at the sterile utensils and the liner in the soaking tub. The chairs were older but the ocean view more than made up for it! Glad others had posted about parking - couldn't figure out how to drive to the back so I parked by the Ralph's and walked up the stairs and around to the 2nd floor where they have their entrance.
