I just got my gel-x nails done at a different salon and I broke my nail heading out the door. I didn't want to take away from the special day my boyfriend had planned but he encouraged me to find a local salon to get it repaired. I turned to Yelp and found Vdara a few miles away. I called to see how long the wait was and they said to come on in. I was greeted warmly and was led to my seat immediately. The technician was able to match it perfectly to my set and the whole process was less than 10 minutes from start to finish. And only $5! That deserved a 100% tip! Well, I'm very happy to have made the pit stop because my boyfriend is now my fiance and I couldn't be more thrilled! read more

I usually do my own nails with basic polishes but wanted to treat myself for the upcoming holidays! Asked some friends what their go-to spot in SC was and they all pointed me to Vdara. I had an excellent experience here today with Max and got the builder gel for longevity to last me into the new year! My color of choice was DND's viral Cherry Mocha which is already a similar to shade to what I wear year round so I was ecstatic to find one that I loved. I got 3 coats of it for a darker effect and it's perfect. Max was careful with my cuticles and gentle while doing a pristine job. The salon is bright and clean and all equipment is opened in front of you in sterilized packaging which is so important to me. Parking is ample in this plaza! Will def be my new go-to spot! Thanks Vdara!! read more

The experience was extremely disappointing from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere immediately felt hostile and unwelcoming, and despite arriving together, my cousin and I were not even seated together. I was seated with a nail technician who did not speak English. While a language barrier alone would not have been an issue, the quality of the service made it a significant problem because I was unable to effectively communicate my concerns. I showed him what I believed was a relatively simple design and, because he did not indicate that he was unable to recreate it, I assumed he understood what I was asking for. Unfortunately, the final result looked nothing like the reference photo. As he continued working, I became increasingly concerned with how the design was turning out. When I expressed that I did not like the color, he did not acknowledge me, forcing me to repeat myself. Eventually, he changed the black accents on the cupcake design to purple, but did so with an obvious attitude and without communicating with me. The overall experience felt dismissive and unprofessional. I was also extremely concerned by the condition of the tools being used. The files and buffers appeared visibly dirty and unsanitary, which my cousin noticed and commented on as well. Cleanliness and proper sanitation should be a basic standard in any nail salon, so this was particularly alarming. Ultimately, I left extremely dissatisfied with both the quality of the work and the level of customer service. My nails looked nothing like what I requested, and the technique was far below what I expected. Between the unwelcoming atmosphere, poor communication, lack of professionalism, questionable sanitation, and disappointing results, this was one of the worst nail salon experiences I have had. I would not recommend this salon based on my experience and sincerely hope management addresses both the service quality and sanitation standards. read more

Walked in and felt like an inconvenience, super quiet and not very inviting or friendly, that's besides the point. I have bruising on my toes from running with tight shoes couple days ago , and the chick with the outgrown shaved sides made disgust faces at my feet while talking in her language to the dude next to her. Had it not been for me really needing them done I would've just left. read more

Really great experience overall! Everyone was super kind and attentive, and they made sure to check in with me throughout the appointment to make sure I was happy with everything. Even though I came in a little late, they still provided amazing service and were very accommodating. The flower ended up so cute, and I really appreciated how helpful and detail-oriented they were. I also added the hot stones and they altered the menu so I could add them! I felt really taken care of and would definitely come back again! read more

I needed a set of nails for an upcoming concert and I knew I needed someone who was proficient in nail art because I knew that what I wanted was quite intricate. Found this place online, called them and explained what I needed. They set me up an appointment with Ivy and she blew it out of the water. She is a true artist. Vdara Nails has become my go to nail salon. I've been coming for months. When I say I traveled all of Orange County prior, to find a salon like this, I mean it. Ivy and her whole team are very attentive. The Salon is beautifully decorated and clean. The prices for a full sets are so reasonable for South Orange County. And their incredibly fast. I can't rave enough about this shop and tell everyone to go there! My go to nail tech is Ivy she can do anything! But I've also had Nisa too, and she's great as well Do yourself the favor and book your next appointment here! read more

i had high hopes for this place after seeing the reviews, but unfortunately left with an injured nail and disappointment. I called initially to see if Ivy had availability, they said no, and then i asked who from their staff had availability that day (i wanted to choose someone who i had seen good reviews of) to which his response was "we have other workers".... So i took a risk, went to an appt later that day with whoever they chose for me, and was sitting there for 20 minutes after my scheduled appt time. Then, during my actual manicure, they took off soooo much skin during cuticle removal, and cut my finger pretty badly. I left and it was still bleeding and hurt for a whole day afterwards. I assumed maybe they'd at least give me a discount or something for the injury, but nope. My nails look decent thankfully, but i definitely won't be returning. read more

If you're looking for the perfect gel manicure in San Clemente, run, don't walk to see Benny. This spot is an absolute gem--clean, calming, and full of good energy. It's tucked away just enough to feel like your own little escape, but the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm and welcoming. I booked a gel manicure with Benny, and WOW--he's a total pro. Precise, gentle, and so detail-oriented. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and it shows in every perfectly polished nail. He helped me choose a color (because I can never decide), prepped my nails flawlessly, and made sure every step was just right. No rushing, no shortcuts, just solid attention to detail and beautiful results. The gel lasted weeks--no chips, no peeling, just glossy, gorgeous nails that looked as good on day 15 as they did on day 1. Bonus: the hand massage at the end was heavenly. I walked out feeling like I'd just had a full self-care session, not just a manicure. Final thoughts: Benny is officially my go-to, and this salon is the kind of place you instantly want to recommend to your friends. If you're in San Clemente and your nails need some love--this is the place to be. read more

I came in on Saturday for a mani pedi The guy doing my pedicure was really rough and clearly in a bad mood. The woman next to me kept making a face because she felt bad about how he was treating me. They came out okay, but I typically get pedicures as a treat/to relax and it was really stressful. I got gel x on my hands from Ivy who was highly suggested. My nails weren't prepped when, my cuticles weren't done so a few days later they look really grown out. One of the nails put on is way too small/short, and another finger is really crooked, which I mentioned at the appointment but was laughed off and not fixed. The underside of the nails weren't cleaned after/full of dust & pieces that weren't fully filed off. I planned on coming to get them fixed but ended up just taking them off today and will be going elsewhere. Places like this can't get you out fast enough & the quality shows. Waste of $135. read more

Excellent nail salon! So happy I found Vdara Nails in San Clemente. I moved to the area a few months ago and tried a couple of different places before finding Vdara. Very nice, clean salon. Plenty of parking. Transparent prices and loyalty program. Every person that works there is so kind and gentle. They have lots of options and great nail polish selections. I've been very happy with my acrylic nails, pedicures, and waxing. If you have any special requests, the owner Ivy goes above and beyond to accommodate. I've been going to Vdara nails for about a year. It did change ownership, but the new folks are just as kind and gracious as previous owners. They are efficient and always do an excellent job. I keep going back My only negative comment is it seems they have some difficulty with maintaining hot water. Perhaps another water heater would help. read more

The vibe of the salon was decent and the end quality was close to what we were looking for, but unfortunately the process overall had major flaws which influenced the review. Major issues: - Rushing the whole process which caused cuts/bleeding by me and my friend on multiple occasions - Improper application of the acrylic when applied to my partners nails which caused burning until cooled - Nails were not as requested multiple times/different requests ignored Minor issues: - Workers not clear about menu/service costs on arrival read more

I called the salon to inquire about the pricing for a gel pedicure. The gentleman over the phone told me that it was $45 for a GEL PEDICURE, so I went ahead and came in during my lunch to get a pedicure. The nail tech was wonderful and he did a great job unfortunately when I went to check out I was charged $60. When I asked why, the gentleman at the front counter told me it was $45 for the pedicure and an additional $15 for GEL. That was not what I was told over the phone. I've never had to pay extra for gel ever. I was lied and swindled to by them. Make sure you know that you have to pay extra for gel. Which seems ridiculous because gel is the standard polish nowadays. Sadly, I won't be going back. Side note- I tipped the nail tech $10 but the guy at the register (yes, same swindler) only gave him $5. I know this because I heard him say in Vietnamese, "she gave you $5". Oh and I understand and speak Vietnamese fluently so it was shocking to hear that the guy at the register kept $5 for himself for doing absolutely nothing! Beware of the scam. read more
