This place is always welcoming and will find a spot for you, even if no reservation. That said, the last time I went, I received my pedicure by an elderly woman I had not seen before. She cut my nails down to literally "nubs" (and I have short toes already!). She also has me there for one hour. I kid you not. Not going back. read more

Very disappointed. Went at 10:30 didn't leave till 1:10. Didn't even do a good job. Usually love them but I'm late to a commitment and very annoyed. Don't go unless you have six hours. read more

So painful! These are my feet immediately after leaving. Not only does the polish look bad, but I am in pain from the pedicurist attacking my feet with her tools. I flinched in pain so many times and told her it hurt, but she continued to nip at them anyways. It literally looks like I have blisters forming. I honestly cant believe i even paid and still left a tip as i was heading out. Please do something to make this right read more

Well, I found my new favorite nail place in San Clemente! From the moment I walked in, everyone was so welcoming and friendly. As you all know, that's not always the case. This place definitely has good vibes! I was leaving for a 10 day trip so I decided to get gel nails because I didn't want them to chip while I was out and about. I'm normally a classic nail polish gal (which is what I got on my toes). I think I paid $70 for a mani (with gel) and pedi which is definitively a reasonable price around here. First, I loveddd my manicure. They cleaned my cuticles SO WELL. My nails were hella short and they looked great when I was leaving. I also messed up my toe polish when I left. I came back the next day and they touched it up for free. Now, what bring me to yelp for a review. It's been over 21 days since I got my gel mani. Girls......it's still on! Basically here to posted the immediate results pic and the after 3+ weeks photo. I'm going back on Friday to get this gel off. It won't chip. read more

They do not respect appointments here at all. My mom and I wanted a day out together before my mom has to go to work. We wanted mani pedis together. After I showed one of the workers what I wanted for a manicure. The way they reacted really concerned me since I wanted an ombré. So I settled for a pedicure. Anyways we were early for our 10:30 appointment and our manicurist was not ready for us at all. She kept saying she will be right with us every 5 minutes. My mom was getting concerned because she was on a tight schedule for work. Anyways we both got up and left because she said she will be "right with us" again. read more

It was my first time here and definitely not my last. Ann did my gel mani and Julie did my pedicure. They both did an excellent job. Clean space, quick and super friendly atmosphere. Great colors to choose from. I chose #49 which is a nice soft pink for summer. Always nice to get some pamper time in. read more

Loved this place! I was visiting for the weekend and loved the staff! I got a pedicure and a dip for my nails (they also removed my acrylics). The most basic pedicure was $30 and the removal of my acrylics + the dip was $48! (There was a small $0.50 Visa charge). It was sweet to see some regulars there who the staff knew by name and even hugged when they left. I have not seen that before at a nail place and it really impressed me. They also give you a stamp card which I always love when nail places do things like that. Thanks for doing a great job! I randomly found this place, but would highly recommend them! read more

I was in San Clemente for a wedding. I found this little spot around the corner from Casablanca Inn. It was so lovely!! The staff was super friendly! It was evident the other customers were regulars and talked to them like friends :) They also gave arm & leg massage in conjunction with mani/pedi (honestly never had an arm massage at a nail salon before!) I only gave 4/5 stars since I waited 30minutes after arrival to get started, even with an appointment. They still finished quickly without taking any corners ! Everyone is very welcoming here at the Sunset Glow nail salon in a strip mall off the main drag aka El Camino Real. Tammy did my manicure and she's fun and has a good sense of humor. My toenails look so much better now. I wouldn't say "pretty" but much improved! My daughters fingers and toes look on the other hand..lol..look great!! My manicure only lasted for 70 hours then my polish started chipping and lifting so 1 star off read more

This place is extremely clean. They follow all state board regulations. Products are used on multiple clients. You can see they truly care about their craft. Each technician really takes their time and ensures you leave with beautiful nails. I received a pedicure for the first time in years and it was truly amazing. I will be coming back. read more

I am so glad I found this little place right up the street from me!! I went in for a gel pedicure and dip manicure, and I am MORE than satisfied. Vivian did a wonderful job on my toes, they're shaped beautifully, and the scrub and mask were divine. Jane did a stellar job on my nails, checking that I liked the shape, length, and color. She even added and extra coat after she had smoothed them out because the color had lightened quite a bit. They even do a frequent flyer stamp card! Amazing service. My husband and I wanted to relax and pamper ourselves with pedis. I got a gel pedicure as he got a regular pedi. We walked in and were treated with the best customer service. The girls really went above and beyond for us. We aren't local to San Clemente but we love our getaways there and we will make sure we stop by here each time. I have been looking for a nail salon for a good nail a salon for so long, thank god j found this place. The staff is very sweet and they offer coffee or water when you come in. I really liked their massage chairs. My gel mani pedi was the best I've had in years. They really took the time to clean my nails and make them perfect. Definitely coming back. read more

Just left my second visit here and have been so pleased both times. They are all genuinely kind, very talented and really care about their work. It's definitely a feel good place! I used to go to this salon regularly, and really enjoyed it. Then, they started to shave my nails down so thin -- they were paper thin, even after I expressed concern. I had to stop going because they wouldn't listen when I asked them to not shave down my nail. I went back in recently, and asked if they had space for a walk in. Initially, they said they weren't sure (even though there were 4 tech's available), and I said no problem, and was okay with leaving. I got all the way out to my car, was inside and they came out to say, they could actually help me now. So, I went back in, and after they sat me in a chair, they told me the appointment at that time had arrived and could no longer help me, and asked me to leave. I'm so bummed to have had such a negative experience. I won't be returning. read more

Me and my husband went a few weeks ago. We both got pedicures and I also got a fill of my dip nails. Mai took all the time in the world to make sure I was happy and she wanted them to be "perfect." I loved the service we got there and ALL of the women are the sweetest I have met. They all take their time and the attention to what you want as the customer is amazing. Most places feel like they rush you or don't take time doing what you ask for and they are FAR from that! I will be a returning customer for sure! read more

Not from the SC area but tried this place as I was driving through. I saw the reviews and figured it would be a safe bet. I get a gel manicure every 3 weeks. Recently my nails have been breaking a little more easily than usual. I let the nail tech know I wanted them to take it easy with the filing because my nails were weak. She suggested I try dip because it's stronger than gel, IT DOESN'TCHIP, and it LOOKS/ FEELS NATURAL. I've never had a dip manicure but I'm pretty sure it doesn't take an hour and 40 min. I was there forever only for a manicure! But I tried to stay positive because I didn't know if this was the case always, especially since this manicure is supposed to stay on longer and not chip. I knew there was a problem after she filed and dipped one of my fingers 5 times. FIVE, not an exaggeration. Then she filled all of mine nails again, after she had already done so twice and dipped them again, after she had already done twice before. At this point, my nail beds look puffy and there is a mountain of dip on my fingers. I paid and I left saying close to nothing. They looked ok and I could live with it for a couple weeks. Then, the next day, my thumbnail started chipping. All that work for absolutely nothing. I would not recommend this dip services here. I can't speak to the other services but don't do dip here. read more
