Male nail tech was rude and not well trained. He was too rough. When my niece spoke up and said ouch that's hurting he replied "You're fine!" and kept going. My niece walked out with her finger scratched and two of her nails bleeding. Not to mention crooked and uneven. Not worth $45, go somewhere else. Pam is awesome at acrylics and Gina is awesome at gel. This is the place I go to when I need things done. They always take care of me, and the ladies are sweet and fun to talk to. They always do a good job and don't mind doing any of the custom things I ask for or special requests I come up with. They care about their customers and the cool thing about this salon is that they are pet friendly - you can bring your pup in while they make you beautiful! They always have new items and trends and are always on point. I have been going to Design Nails for several years to get pedicures. I typically go down, drop my car at the car wash, then walk over to get my hang-nails removed and toenails clipped. Cindy and Anna are both great people and do a great job every time. read more

Second time I had a mani pedi at this salon, not the greatest experience to sit on the sidewalk but the quality of the work is outstanding, Anna took her time and the polish looks perfect. Hopefully they can open up inside again soon, this will be my new to go to salon from now on. My wild, sparse eyebrows look great again after having them waxed. read more

I was really excited to come her for my birthday and get a little massage and pedicure I made an appintment and they sat us right away which was wonderful they have a sign on the wall that says $60 for mani pedi and 30 min massage I was so excited so o asked for that and she said no I asked again cause I thought it was a language barrier and she said no and handed me a paper with options so I just chose the $40 which came with a 10 min massage and pedi then I was gonna offer to pay more for more time when it came to it. Well she starts the massage and doesn't start the timer like the rest of them did and she massaged for a max of 3 mins and then just walked away so I didn't even get what I paid for I was so disappointed and sad I didn't say anything which is my fault but they shouldn't have that sign if it's not an option and they should at least massage for the amount of time you pay for. read more

I went to design Nails for 6 years, In the last year before covid the owner Cindy would bump me with my appointment for walk ins, waxing to stack the place and I would sit and wait 30-45 minutes. If I asked, she would say, 5 minutes, and ignore me. Then she got rude, when reopened in 2021 and the place has really gone down hill. Not to mention how loud they speak to each other in the native language. Really rude to have people yelling in a so called spa! Never again, Bad service! read more

Came here to get a pedicure with my aunt. She had a $25 gift card and just wanted a basic pedicure. They wouldn't let her. They told her that she has to do the $27 pedicure. She didn't want the scrub. They kept asking her questions and trying to upsell. I mean 'make your money'. She has sensitive legs and asked to be gentle for the massage and the woman just said "its fine. See its fine". No its not fine you were hurting a little old lady. It was irritating having to lean over and say "no" after "no". I had myself had a great pedicure. And had a dip manicure before and had a great time. They just need to stick with their cleanliness and if they want to keep their licenses: use a new file, scrubbers, and separate the chemicals so that they are for each use versus pouring whatever is left over back into the container. Such as the dip powder. It should be placed into a clean container and whatever dip is left over...thrown away. Same with the files...used and thrown away. Same with the buffer/scrubbers...used and thrown away. Come on customers, you know right from wrong. Lets keep these employees respect for us at a high standard. It should be cleaned and new tools every time. read more

I've been going here for about 10 years, three owners later, the current owner has been there for a while now. I've contracted fungus twice on my toe nails. The girls are sweet. The owner is cold and all about the money, it's a business so I get it. The other day I was getting an hour massage and decided to go for 1.5 hours. The owner busted in the room screaming, shouting and loud! Slammed the door so hard the whole room shook. I was really upset but she was screaming in Vietnamese. Then five minutes later she busted in again during my message and started screaming again! I was so angry! I'm paying for THIS??? I was furious! I did not want to pay the massage, I was not able to relax! I was so stressed out , I couldn't calm down. I stopped the massage in the middle of it, got dressed and when to pay 85.00 on top of it all. I used to take my mom, daughter, husband and friends there often. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BE RIPPED OFF AND PAY FOR IT! I'll never go there again. I've alway give extremely good tips, this owner is nasty, the toe fungus is disgusting. Never again. The nerve of her to charge me after that! She was nasty to the girl, just bitter and nasty, she should not treat her people like that and I certainly don't want to hear it nor is it right to humiliate workers like that. She's horrible! I wish I never went gave her my business! It was horrible! No self control, no decorum or dignity. She was raw and mean, I don't care why, she could have called the worker to the side but she was in a rage and I got to pay for it. read more

Besides the staff being nice, My girlfriend and I really have nothing good to say. They dont have prices posted on the wall. Their prices for gel nails and a pedicure cost us our dinner for the night. Her nails looks like a 3rd grader had done them. I never touched nails before but I'm confident that I could have done them better. The place doesn't even look nice at all. There wasn't a place for me to sit besides the idle chair that wasn't being used at the time. Very Very pricey for what they do. read more

First time patrons. My sister & I made an appointment for a mani-pedi with a half hour massage. They have a sign posted on their wall that advertises that service for $60. I decided on gel for my mani but my sister chose a basic manicure & we both selected basic pedicures. There were serious language barriers, but we pointed clearly on the menu presented to us for the service options for pedicures. My tech did not cut/file my nails short on my pedi as requested twice. The pedicure was very sloppy but I didn't notice until I got home because I didn't bring my glasses! The massages were sub-par. They set a timer that ticked loudly throughout & rang shrilly when time was up. The person providing my massage had long nails that were uncomfortable. So much for relaxing! When we were finished, the total price exceeded our expectations while the service surely did not. We questioned the total but again communication was clear. Their credit card system was down so we had to walk to a nearby gas station for an ATM. I'm not a confrontational person so I did not argue the totals as it seemed futile. There are many salons in the area to choose from. I would not recommend this one. read more

I have never written a yelp review, however, I feel as though this is what Yelp is for. NO JOKE - my mom is currently at the San Clemente Hospital because these people scrubbed her feet to the point where they opened a wound on her right foot. She is suffering severly from a bad bacterial infection. Tomorrow she will be having a minor surgery to drain a boil that is 10 inches in diameter, with a head full of puss that stretches 4 inches, and is in severe pain. At this time, she has been on IV antibiotics for two days and is still continuing treatment to get well. In summary, Design Nails Spa will be hearing from our attorney isndue time, and I strongly suggest that everyone seeks service elsewhere. read more
