I had calming Mani, Pedi for $48.00 plus $5 for buffing nails. Anything but calming. The girl who did my feet was all over the place, she puts the timer on to massage my legs and then goes and talks to the receptionist for 3 min while the timer is running. When she did massage my legs she would stop frequently and check out what was going on in the salon. It was the faster pedicure I ever had. The girl that did my nails, was preoccupied with going home. Neither one of them pushed my cuticles back. I told her I wanted clear and she wanted to buff them out for $5 more. I told her "no" several times. It was like being on SNL. She keeps giving me, "but why" and reasons why I needed them buffed. I finally gave in just so she would stop asking me. While massaging my hands she would stop and talk for a minute or two. Don't think I will be going back. read more

Got a gel manicure done by Jolene the other day. I'm really happy about the way these turned out! These are my real nails and I'm usually very rough with my hands/ wash my hands a lot for work. She used an extra base layer to strengthen the gel more so they last. Wanted ombré nails that looked exactly like my manicurists and they look like total crap. NOTHING like hers. Props to her for trying but I was clearly unhappy and the owner/front receptionist still made me pay full price for something I vocalized that it looked like crap. So now after spending $35 I have to go to another nail salon to take it off and redo. Never going back here. Save yourself money if you want a design, do not come here. Okay yes, it's clean but holycrap are they expensive. Let me clarify: their "specials" are what's expensive, ironically enough. Upon entering and even prior to that, on the phone when I initially made my appointment, I stated that I was just getting a pedicure. Okay. $18. Then, while soaking my feet, the manicurist hands me a "menu" of special services even though I had just told her I was "just getting a pedicure." Well, I'm a sucker and the pushy up-sell worked because I point to the $34 "special." I figured, what the hell, I deserve a treat. I've never had such a fancy treatment so I thought why not? Well I'll tell you why not. After the fancy pedicure & it's time to pay, the guy behind the counter tells me my total is actually $40 & not $34 & that I must've gotten confused. Apparently 34 is for the manicure & 40 is for the pedi. Awesome. I know it's only a $6 difference but I still felt hosed. Serves me right. I shouldn't have gotten a service like that in the first place. Definitely not worth it. read more

I just opted out of getting a pedicure today because of unnecessary rudeness on the part of management. I used to really looking forward to coming here. Not anymore. The prices are reasonable. They are super friendly and the facility is clean. You have to tip in cash, so remember to bring cash! When I started competitive ballroom dancing a few months ago, I came from 10 years of triathlon, I realized that I should probably do something about my dirty and frankly boring nails. So I Yelped for help and I'm so happy I did. Joanne is my standing Sunday manicure appointment and it is so relaxing and she does a great job. My definition of "relaxing" does not include chatting and she lets me sit in blissful silence while she works (including a hand and arm massage that is incredible). I am AMAZED that this place has such good reviews. This is my second time here, it is right next to my work so I thought I'd give it a second shot. I should first state that I like to communicate and have an experience when I go to a salon. The product was OK. The nails stayed on and I always get gel so naturally that didn't chip. The problem is that both girls who did my nails had TERRIBLE personalities. BOTH OF THEM seemed almost irritated that I came in. Which makes sense because the other girls were streaming soap operas and working on art projects. It's pretty common now for a girl to get a nail or two in a different color but BOTH girls tried to talk me out of it and stayed it was "too much". Over all they are very lazy. BOTH girls answered there phones and had full conversations and the second girl I saw actually turned her chair entirely around to talk to the girl behind her every time she put my hand in the dryer, it she would walk away. I told her that the dryer were burning me (from being in do long while she socialized) and she simply brushed it off and obviously made fun of me to the girl behind her. I simply couldn't believe it. They are very clean and meticulous. I have been to Helen enough times that she knows my "custom care" for my ticklish feet. Love her! You can pay with credit/debit but must tip in cash. I've been waiting to write this until time passed so I could see how my nails hold up. First, the place is cute and the people are nice (VERY chatty, but nice) but they are quite disapproving of any other salon in the area and they woman doing my nails made sure to tell at least 3 others where I normally go for my nails. I had gels done, which I normally do at Best Nails but couldn't get in & needed them done. That was less than 2 weeks ago. I have 2 chipped nails any a bump in one mail that keeps catching my hair. My toes look completely uneven. So as much as they looked down that noses at my usual salon, I can usually get 3 or 4 weeks out of a gel job. I feel like I pretty much wasted my money. read more

Nope, not worth stopping in here. I am very new to the area and was a walk-in for a basic manicure. 1st the pluses: It is clean and quiet. Cell phone use is discouraged and there is peaceful music, not a blaring TV. The price for a basic Mani seemed reasonable. But... What a terrible manicure! No attention to detail, my cuticles were barely touched. Don't ask for hand lotion on your fingers as that would slow down your manicure. Lots of pure acetone use that adds to the fingertip dryness. I kept coming back because: the place is very clean and new, I like that the technicians don't speak foreign languages to each other while working on you (always a relaxing time) and they usually do a great job. It is more expensive too but I don't feel like they pressure hard to up-sell like many other salons do. Overall they are one of the best nail salons. I did not give five stars because on the last three occasions I had a problem each time: the first time I waited in the chair with water getting cold for 30 minutes despite having an appointment, the time before that the nail technician cut me twice while doing pedicure and it bled so bad it caused a scab, another time a male technician talked the whole time to his client and it was very annoying, also my gel manicure was terrible even my husband, who doesn't even notice my nail color, said it looked rippled and messy. For the first time ever i complained and received a discount, which was nice. Maybe the salon is getting too busy....but i understand that no salon is perfect. I recently hosted a girls day out event here- we reserved the salon for 2 hours on a Sunday morning and it was hands down one of the most relaxing mornings I have had in a long time! Working with Kim and her team was super easy. When we arrived she had set out a table and champagne classes for us, decorated it for Valentine's Day and was super helpful with our requests during the event. We had 13 ladies come and all got mani/pedis and the feedback was fabulous. I myself got the cranberry pedicure special that you can see on their Facebook page. It included some great lotions and oils that left my feet recovered and pretty after taking a beating with all the running I do. The techs were attentive, professional and friendly. I didn't get any pressure for an up-sell or additional services. The salon as a whole is bright, clean, well decorated and the chairs are comfy. Even the bowls you put your feet in are really pretty! If you are looking for a girls type of event, I highly recommend thinking of this place to host it. All our girls LOVED it, are still talking about it a week later and it will definitely be a new event for our group. I also will be back on my own for regular pedicures! read more
