I don't know how I'm just now leaving a review, but here we are! We have been using Ocean View Heating & Cooling for several years now for regular maintenance of our HVAC. Earl and Michelle are great and such a pleasure to work with. Scheduling is always pretty easy, communication is great if anything changes with timing, and they also offer a military discount as Earl is a Veteran himself. Home ownership has been a whole new ballgame for us, and we've definitely had some frustrating situations, but having companies you trust like this make all the difference when anything pops up. I believe they also offer regular maintenance plans that have perks including discounts and priority service. I had been putting off getting my hvac serviced because of a lot of things going on after buying our new home. I finally decided I needed to get this done and asked my friend for a recommendation as he works at a supply store that sells cooling supplies and such. He recommended Earl and Ocean View to me. When I called, I spoke to Michelle who was very nice and told me about the services I was looking to schedule. She answered the few questions I did have and scheduled us for a service that same week. When she found out I was also looking to have our tankless water heater flushed, she said they could do that as well and added it to our appointment. Mike was the gentleman who came out to do our maintenance and he was very professional. He was friendly and it was a genuinely pleasant experience. Earl (owner) was FANTASTIC! I called him and he was able to come over within 15minutes. It was the end of his workday and he said he would make time for a last call. Earl was straight up with me and didn't bullshit anything. He was very thorough. Very nice. Have me some great tips and pointers. If I need any more Heating or Cooling services done, he will be my first choice! He's an honest man doing honest work. My situation: We have our thermostat set to 75, it's 90+ outside and our thermostat is reading 88 in the house. So my ac home unit is not able to keep up with the heat. This same thing happened to us last year (2019). Earl did a thorough inspection for any leaks, none were found. He asked us if we just wanted a fill up on refrigerant OR of we wanted him to do a detailed inspection. For financial reasons, we opted for the fill up. The day following the service, my house has cooled off. We set the thermostat to 78 and it's been steady there since 23:00 the night of service. Highly recommend! The service provided was excellent. Our AC went out in the middle of the summer, and Earl worked until 8pm on a Friday night to make sure we'd have an air conditioned weekend. He was given the wrong unit to install by the distributer, but as promised, showed up at a later date with the correct unit and switched out to the correct one at no charge. Earl ABSOLUTELY saved me!! We live in East Beach and my sister in/law is staying with us in our carriage house. She wakes up this morning to no A/C, 86 degrees inside and the temperature was rising. It felt like a hot yoga studio! I called 3 A/C companies and everyone was booked until Monday, which was a major problem, realistically it meant 3 nights in a hotel for her. I finally Googled A/C repair near me, in a last ditch effort to find someone. To my surprise I found Ocean View Heating & Cooling. I called, Earl answered the phone immediately and unfortunately he was booked solid also. Earl though, was the ONLY company who asked me if it was an emergency. Earl came by and seemed like a decent businessman while I showed him the few plumbing issues I had. Never heard from him again. After a few weeks ran into him and did not realize it was him at first. To make a long story short.. he gave me an extremely over inflated quote and I decided not to do business with that type of person. read more

Showed up same day, on time wearing a mask. Had my ac up and working in half an hour. I know zip about ac and thought I was looking at a very expensive repair but the technician found only a relatively minor part needed replacing for about 1/20th of the cost. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I won't use anyone but these guys in future, recommend highly. read more
