Sent me back with about 3200 PSI in my HP100 tanks. The second time around I asked for 32% nitrox. I checked them at the store with their analyzer and they gave me 34% and 41%. When I questioned them about it they said their analyzer was broken but they were certain the tanks were filled properly with 32%. I checked them at home with my analyzer and they gave me 34% and 41%. So far I cannot say anything good about this shop.

Got my diver certification here April 2019 with my brother and they made it has easy as possible and was able to get it in a week between online studying, pool time and 4 dives following PADI guidelines. Rob Davis was our instructor and I HIGHLY recommend him! He was awesome, knowledgeable, experienced, and makes you feel very safe in the water. We were on a bit of a time constraint to get certified and Rob worked with us to get it done as quickly and efficiently as possible. KNOW AHEAD OF TIME:…read more * You can leave your purses/bags at the dive shop or on the boat. * You can (and should) just snorkel in your regular swimsuit. I'm not sure if the scuba divers are required to wear a wet suit because I'm not certified, but everyone else who snorkeled brought their own suit. I snorkeled and was for whatever reason convinced ahead of time that I would *need* a wet suit to do it - not true, and they're essentially giant full-body sweaters. Not optimal for sitting on a boat in the sun in like 100 degree weather. I ended up having to buy different swimwear at the shop; they did refund me for my pre-paid wet suit rental though, which was v nice of them. * Bring your own water onto the boat. They have water jugs, but the only thing they provide to drink out of is those tiny little cone-shaped paper cups (one thing they could maybe improve upon.) You will 100% need more water than that with the sun/heat combined with the fact that you're probably going to be taking many accidental gulps of salty sea water. EXPERIENCE: While physically taxing for someone as out of shape as I am, this was super fun. They take you to two different diving locations, and while the scuba divers obviously see more than we snorkelers did, the water was clear enough that snorkelers could still see tons of fish just floating face-down from the top. I believe the first location was around 18 feet deep and the next was around 40. I saw stripey yellow fish, bright blue fish, and lots of other fish whose names, while I do happen to be an expert on tropical fish, unfortunately escape me. The crew is very focused on safety; they do roll call each time everyone gets back onto the boat to make sure they don't leave anyone behind, and they take it very seriously. Don't talk during it or you'll get yelled at. I definitely recommend, although I was very jealous of the scuba divers who got to swim with the marine life up close and personal. Scuba certification has officially been added to my to-do list for the next time I'm in a tropical location.

Dock location was easy to find, and you can pay for parking using an app at a nearby location. There are restrooms at nearby businesses to change, which the crew will point out. Those bathrooms were okay, but not well maintained and not connected to this business. They also DBA as Tarpoon Lagoon Diving Center. You need to bring the main things, gear or rent, food, drink, sunscreen, tip for crew. Crew was extremely great and knowledgeable. Nice boat and well equipped to take out for snorkeling, felt like the middle of nowhere, but once in the water you could see a lot underneath. It is not great for those who stay on top because you look down from 13-15' of water so things are down a bit and you will have to dive to get a closer look. Crew let us stay out the whole time even though most of the other passengers gave up after a brief swim. I went on a different trip into Biscayne National Park where the water was 3-8' and I saw much more. I felt like the bottom of the water at this location was too deep to enjoy as much and was disturbed with less life. Overall a GOOD trip with experienced crew and a great time.

I had been told that Ted Harty with Immersion Freediving was the go to guy if I was ever interested…read morein learning how to dive, but not being a diver (and I mean never diving) or a "professional" snorkeler (seriously only twice in my life) I never thought I would ever need a freediving instructor. Needless to say, when I was presented with the "opportunity" (please notice the punctuation) to take a private class it only made sense to take it from Ted, and now I truly understand how exceptional Ted truly is at teaching. Not only was the coursework extremely educational but Ted made it entertaining with personal stories, personal experiences and hands on training. Never would I have thought that the coursework would leave me wanting more and more knowledge about diving, how the body works and my number one priority how to dive safe and how to be a safe diving partner. Like I said above, I was not a diver at the beginning of this class, but Ted has so much patience (talking me through a panic attack just to even get my face in the water), he explained what he wanted me to do step by step and then would demonstrate it, by far the easiest way to learn. Ted never pushes you, it's on your schedule, your comfort level and when you're ready Ted is always right there with you. Ted gave me such confidence in myself and abilities that there are lessons I learned during this Immersion Freediving course that I will apply to my "above water life". I may not be the deepest diver, have the best, or any technique and still have a lot of learning to do, but Ted turned me into a freediver and now I am hooked. I can't wait to continue my diving education, increasing my depths, improving my technique and I guarantee I will be doing this only with Immersion Freediving and Mr. Ted Harty, no one else compares and I now understand why he is the best and will be my only recommendation to anyone wanting to learn to dive. Thank you Ted for truly being excited for what I accomplished over the course of five days, you made me feel awesome about myself and for opening up a whole new world to me. Your enthusiasm and passion for what you do is contagious and I look forward to working with you again. I recently completed the November 2012 Intermediate Freediving course with Ted Harty at Immersion…read moreFreediving in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Previous to taking this course, I was diving 35-40ft depths comfortably and could do a 2 minute static breathhold. Since taking this course with Ted, I was able to complete an 85ft dive and 4'25'' static breathhold in the pool. Simply amazing! I never realized how important equalization was at these depths and Ted has a skype session with every student before the class starts. The class size is limited to only 5 students, which is a big reason I took this course over other courses offered. Ted is a terrific instructor and was always focused on everyones individual needs, providing that "one on one" attention. The classroom sessions focused on safety, techniques and physiology. Safety was also a part of every ocean session and I learned a great deal. I was not a safe diver prior to taking this course, but now have the knowledge to easily adjust my diving style. We had a lot of dive time in the ocean and even more fun! Ted's dive boat "Sink Faze" was very nice and comfortable and much better than dealing with a big charter dive boat.
