The boat caption ani & her crew were very outgoing and efficient! I definitely enjoyed all the amazing dive sites they picked to take us to!

KNOW AHEAD OF TIME: * You can leave your purses/bags at the dive shop or on the boat. * You can (and should) just snorkel in your regular swimsuit. I'm not sure if the scuba divers are required to wear a wet suit because I'm not certified, but everyone else who snorkeled brought their own suit. I snorkeled and was for whatever reason convinced ahead of time that I would *need* a wet suit to do it - not true, and they're essentially giant full-body sweaters. Not optimal for sitting on a boat in the sun in like 100 degree weather. I ended up having to buy different swimwear at the shop; they did refund me for my pre-paid wet suit rental though, which was v nice of them. * Bring your own water onto the boat. They have water jugs, but the only thing they provide to drink out of is those tiny little cone-shaped paper cups (one thing they could maybe improve upon.) You will 100% need more water than that with the sun/heat combined with the fact that you're probably going to be taking many accidental gulps of salty sea water. EXPERIENCE: While physically taxing for someone as out of shape as I am, this was super fun. They take you to two different diving locations, and while the scuba divers obviously see more than we snorkelers did, the water was clear enough that snorkelers could still see tons of fish just floating face-down from the top. I believe the first location was around 18 feet deep and the next was around 40. I saw stripey yellow fish, bright blue fish, and lots of other fish whose names, while I do happen to be an expert on tropical fish, unfortunately escape me. The crew is very focused on safety; they do roll call each time everyone gets back onto the boat to make sure they don't leave anyone behind, and they take it very seriously. Don't talk during it or you'll get yelled at. I definitely recommend, although I was very jealous of the scuba divers who got to swim with the marine life up close and personal. Scuba certification has officially been added to my to-do list for the next time I'm in a tropical location.

Arrived at the boat for a 2 tank afternoon dive. The weather was nice when we went out, however conditions changed quickly. We finished up at Rainbow reef and lightning struck a little too close for comfort. Capt. Ani made the call to go back to the docks for our safety and the safety of her crew. Thank you! We will definitely be back!!

So rude and disrespectful to boats around. Flicking people off and screaming. Would NOT recommend.

The vessel itself is…read morecomfortable and beautifully maintained, but what truly set this trip apart was the incredible crew. First, a huge thanks to **Catherine** -- her dual role as Captain and Dive Master was nothing short of amazing. She ran every dive briefing with clarity and confidence, helping the group navigate through the stunning underwater terrain of the Bahamas with poise, and always made safety feel effortless. Her expertise allowed all aboard to relax completely and focus on the magic of the reef, wreck and drift dives the group the did with ease, all of this with an amazing happy personality that made everyone feel secure, safe and welcomed. Then there's **Frenchie**, whose culinary artistry and storytelling made every meal an event. Each dish was beautifully prepared and tasted like something straight out of a gourmet kitchen aboard the sea -- fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. And between courses, Frenchie's stories added another dimension to the experience: charming, engaging, and perfectly paced for the atmosphere. He turned mealtime and between dice times into one of the highlights of the whole trip. Thanks Frenchie can't wait to see you again soon, brother. Finally, to **Liza** -- what an outstanding host, Captain and Dive Master all rolled into one. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel truly welcomed from the very first moment. She juggled the roles of guide, leader and gracious companion with ease, always attentive to everyone's needs and always encouraging us to get the most out of the journey. Her dive briefings were top-notch, her command of the helm steady and confident, and her friendliness genuine and uplifting. Hey **Liza** in April we are definitely working down to 8 lbs. can't wait to be aboard your ship again, you are an amazing host and leave guests feeling like family. In short, Juliet Sailing and Diving offers more than just a vacation -- it delivers an immersive, thrilling, and deeply relaxing experience thanks to an extraordinary team. Catherine, Frenchie and Liza each play an essential part in creating memories I'll treasure forever. I can't wait to return in April 2026. Highly, highly recommended for anyone who loves diving, sailing, and being in the company of true professionals who also feel like friends.

No other boats at any of their sites other than Sapona, which is a wreck dive just a few miles from South Bimini. I could do a whole review on this site alone. There's something to be said for diving without 2 or 3 other boats on the same site much less anywhere to be seen. Back to The Juliet, she used to be a cargo ship now converted to a liveaboard dive ship with enough room for 12 guests and 6 crew. Upon arrival you will be treated like a guest and depart feeling like family. Outfitted with the diver in mind, it's super easy to get spoiled diving from the Juliet. Super easy giant stride off either side, the best ladder I've ever used to exit the water and 15 ft bar to assist on those 3-minute safety stops. The crew operates like a well-oiled machine with each one doing whatever needs to be done. Unfortunately, we did have a medical emergency on the trip and the crew immediately went into action and got the Coast Guard involved in an air lift operation to get the afflicted passenger to hospital care. All the while they kept the rest of us updated on what was going on. Sorry no pictures, but this was impressive on all accounts. Back to the fun diving part... The Juliet offers Nitrox only diving (they can certify you if you're not already), 3 day and 1 night dive are offered daily, the dives range from 20'-100' and you can lionfish hunt or take photos to your heart's content. We did do a couple of drift dives, but the current wasn't really cooperating. I'd like to give a special shoutout to Jimmy for taking care of all our lionfish and keeping the boat running, Frenchie for making them into ceviche and some of the best lobster bisque ever, Matt excellent DM and the great dive briefings, Lyndsey for her great love and knowledge of 'fish of the dive', John N. for night watch and all the little things, John B. 'the man, the myth, the legend' Dude!!! Bonus, I did get to meet Liza and the boat cats (Rico and Sauve) on the last day of my stellar Bahamas trip. Pro Tip: Make sure your DAN insurance is up to date!

The best part of the trip was how we had the boat exclusively to ourselves! I didn't know it'd be a private tour until the day I came. So, the boat was just a total of 3 people (captain included). The water temperature was great and the clarity was decent. We even saw two dolphins! You meetup at Whiskey Joe's at the marina and you can start your excursion immediately. I liked that you didn't need to wait around much. I was able to see some cool looking fish, a bottom feeder and a crab. You get 2 hours for the snorkeling and you're not required to wear any life vests (in fact, we weren't offered any and I didn't see any). The water is super shallow so it didn't seem dangerous at all. The water is also salty and easy to float in. The boat was nearby the main snorkeling area. The bad: The area for snorkeling was pretty small. It was an artificial reef where the fish were but outside of that area there is just seagrass and there's no living things to observe. The website says snorkeling starts at $75/pp and up but that's misleading b/c that's only the price if you have 8+ people. When I came to the marina, the worker who had me sign paperwork said that "$25/hour tip is required" when I got an email saying 15% tip is optional. My husband clarified and he said "yes, it's required" but later retracted his statement after I clarified that it was strange to give tip upfront before we even went on the excursion. However, I did already give 15% tip upfront on 50% of the value and then Zelled an additional $25 tip to the captain himself afterward. The cost for snorkeling ended up being $407 for 2 people (pricey). The interesting: The captain swam with us to lead us to the reef and then swam back and was mostly on his phone.
