Amazing service throughout the club, always attentive and well kept. Dress codes are required and safely keep everyone appropriate in the community.

I enjoyed the stay except that the rooms should be cleaned better and they should remodel to update the look. Elevator was not working and there was a cockroach in my room. The food was a hit or miss. Service at the different event spaces was really good and the views are beautiful!

We are gusts visiting Ocean Reef for my wife's birthday / our "babymoon"... we've had a great time here. The weather hasn't been the best, but there's nothing we can do about that! The staff are really accommodating and this club is definitely very exclusive. The pool area is great and has a large bar with waiting service. I also was able to use the spa and go out on the golf course - Both were great experiences! I'd highly recommend this spot!

I stayed at Ocean Reef for an extended period of time and found the club to be very nice. There is a ton of amenities at Ocean Reef including two tennis facilities, two golf courses, a Fishing Village with a variety of shops and stores, Buccaneer Island and a variety of restaurants. I'm a competitive tennis player who plays in many tournaments and I found the tennis facilities to be very nice. The Racquet Club, which is a private club is very nice and has a large amount of Har-Tru courts. They seemed to be well cared for, but they were fairly dusty because of the Florida humidity and heat. The Tennis and Health Club at Ocean Reef, which is open to the general public has around 10 Har-Tru courts as well as a couple of pickle ball courts. There are a variety of great food options at Ocean Reef including the Islander, CH Prime and the Burgee Bar. There are plenty of more casual options too including the grill at Buccaneer Island and Reef Treats, which sells a variety of dessert items including ice cream and chocolate covered strawberries. I particularly loved the chicken fingers and fries at Buccaneer Island. They chicken was tender and the crinkle cut fries were crispy and tasty. Ocean Reef has plenty of other activities including a Rec Center wwith video games, some pool tables and some ping pong tables. It seemed to be very popular with many of the kids. There is also a nature center at Ocean Reef with some small animals and a 75 pound tortoise. I love animals so that always nice! Many of the restaurants, houses and other attractions including the tennis centers and pools are far away from each other, which requires you to have a golf cart. Luckily, Ocean Reef has them available to rent. The entire Ocean Reef Club is secured and there are security guards at the front who check you in. There is also a police force and fire department at Ocean Reef to keep everything and everyone safe and in order. Altogether, Ocean Reef Club is a really beautiful place in the Florida Keys, which provides a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

Excellent stay and experience. The members and staff alike were very welcoming and friendly. A few staff members that stood out were Kristine at the rec center, Superman and Molly at Buccaneer Island. Andreaux at the Scavenger Hunt was amazing. That kid is a work-a-holic and always there with a smile and willing to assist. The condo we stayed in could use some upgrades but it was very pleasant overall with nice views. The food at the restaurants on property was very good also. Yes, a little pricey but totally worth it for the service and the ambiance. We ordered room service from Gianni's and the food and service was outstanding. Will definitely visit again if I get invited.

The grounds itself are gorgeous but the service is subpar. Pools, docks, and rooms were very nice and clean. Our issue with more so with the food and service. I'd say 80% of our food here was just mediocre. The best food was from the patio restaurant by the pool called Palm Court. Unfortunately for the extreme prices you pay here, service should be exceptional and all food on the property should be well above mediocre. We played a round of a golf and that cost almost 500$ for one guy. For these prices I expect much better service and for that reason I wouldn't be inclined to return.

    The view

We stayed here for a week and it was wonderful. A few things I think are ridiculous though. First we ate lunch at an open air restaurant on the water with gorgeous views but they would not allow my husband to be seated and served because he was wearing a tank top, yet several women were wearing tank tops as well as just bikinis with body parts hanging out were seated and served but he had to either wear a dirty smelly long sleeve collared shirt they offered or he could go back to our room and changed. Why??? I guess you don't want to see men's armpits but don't mind seeing women's breasts and butts hanging out. Stupid!!! Pool areas are beautiful, love the enforcement of the rule for adults only pool, thank you!! Yoga on the beach was fantastic!! Bartenders at the circle bar in the middle of the pools and lagoon make terrific drinks!!! And the fish tacos...some of the best we've ever had. Some of the servers ate so nice and friendly and some are rather snobby, I guess that's normal Gift shop is on the small side but still had a nice little selection

Loving this place... In town for a conference and thought this was going to be a "club." It's a small town with shops, medical center, shopping, marinas and even a small private airport. It seems there is something for everyone here...pools, beach, golf, fishing, diving, and I'm sure there are more. It's easy to get to...about an hour from Miami International Airport and easy to find. Headed south on 95 and made 2 lefts. There is a bridge that has a $1 toll, wanted to give you a heads up on that. You don't need a wallet; all purchases, at least within the club, are done using your room key. Including tips. The room is amazing, see the pix. I'm on the first floor so I have a patio off of my room. Spent the afternoon reading a book while nursing a Diet Coke. Amenities in the room, Nespresso coffee machine, yoga mats with some light weights and the coconut lime toiletries are really nice. Free wi-fi...currently "yelping" outside the conference room. The property is large so you may want to rent a golf cart but I'm finding that some things on the map aren't as far as they seem. Haven't really found anything negative, if you've read my other reviews I can really put places on "blast." I did hear one comment...the pool was too warm...hey, it's Florida. The beach is nice and has shaded areas for those that combust after 15 minutes in the sun. There is a little lagoon that isn't connected to the ocean, seems like a good place for the kids; not really sure of the depth. While I'm here by myself, I'd rate this a good place for families to visit. If you want to venture off the property and head south to the lower keys, this is a good jumping off point.

Location - The hotel is right off of Interstate 1 and in the middle of Key Largo. You are just down the road from a Publix, shopping center, and a number of restaurants. John Pennecamp State Park is really close as well. Rooms & Building - The hotel is going for a retro tropical tiki vibe. It is probably not for everyone but I digged it. Rooms are spacious and offer the typical Hampton Inn layout. The grounds were not like typical Hamptons though, well manicured and full of beautiful tropical plants. This location had a much more Hilton resort vibe without the resort price. Amenities - The hotel had a small beach area that overlooked the ocean. You can borrow kayaks to take out on the water but it was so windy the day we were there, you would have no luck getting anywhere (we watched a poor couple try to no avail). There is a pool with a pool bar but everything was so cold, it was closed and the pool was somewhat uncomfortable to swim due to the temps and wind, so we passed. Food - Pool bar was closed but we did enjoy the free breakfast buffet. Typical Hampton Inn offerings including make your own waffles, eggs, breakfast meat and an assortment of continental offerings. My kids loved that there was a ton of toppings (including key lime syrup!) available for the waffles, we made some pretty crazy combos. Vibe - Easy going and super friendly staff. No complaints. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. Price & Final Verdict - It was more than what I normally would pay for a Hampton Inn at $240 a night but the Keys are spendy during tourist season. Too bad it was so cold it didn't feel much like it! Oh well, our MN luck. Weather aside, the property was nice and it would have been cool to utilize the water sports and water area. On a nicer day, I feel like these would be great bonuses to the property and added value to the stay. If I'm back in Key Largo, I'll give this place another view.

As Hilton Gold members, we were fortunate to receive a small room upgrade at booking, which we definitely appreciated. Let me start with the highlights the resort amenities are wonderful, especially for families. There were plenty of complimentary activities for kids during the day, and even fun nighttime events like dancing that were adorable and well thought out. It truly felt family-friendly, and there was always something going on to keep everyone entertained. The cutest was Santa pics with cookies and milk! The staff was attentive and kind throughout our stay, and honestly, that goes a long way. Great service can elevate an entire experience, and they really delivered on that front. That said, at nearly $1,000 per night during peak season, I did expect the facilities and rooms to be in better condition. The property has so much potential, but parts of it felt a bit rundown for the price point. The rooms could use some attention and deeper cleaning. I completely understand that this is a beachfront resort and sand is inevitable however we noticed quite a bit of sand throughout the room, even on the bed when it had been freshly made. I've stayed at other beach resorts where housekeeping was a bit more thorough in that regard. However nothing crazy but cleanliness is big in my book. One morning, there was also a cockroach at the coffee cart. My husband reported it right away to the front desk. The next few mornings the cart wasn't out, and I'm assuming they were addressing the situation, which I appreciate but it was still a bit off-putting. The on-site restaurants were good not extraordinary, but enjoyable and I felt the pricing there was fair considering it's a resort property. Overall, we had a great experience. The resort has incredible potential, and with a little more attention to upkeep especially considering the premium nightly rate it could easily be a five-star stay. The friendly staff and activities made a big difference.

So Baker's Cay was unable to contact him to let him know the suite he had booked for us with an amazing looking bathtub would not be available due to it not being fully completed with construction. So when we arrived they told us the room wasn't available. My heart sank. I know his sank twice as hard. He has his new wife with his wonderful plan to give her a beautiful bathtub and suddenly it all fell apart. The front desk was so kind though and I truly felt like they cared and felt terrible about this mistake. They really made up for it by giving us so many perks throughout our stay, including a beautiful room with the most amazing view. A shout out to their concierge, Ashley, who really assisted us in booking things! Now that aside, the resort itself is just soooooo relaxing! It is the perfect spot for a honeymoon or any kind of romantic celebration. We loved the love locks they sold in the gift shop and hung ours on the love lock arch. They offer floats, which we were gifted complimentary because of the mix up, and we had a private one. I haven't been that relaxed in a long time, just floating out in the water. Everything we ate was fantastic! Including room service, which was always quick to arrive. My favorite thing was the quesadillas at Dry Rocks! And the chicken dish at Calusa. One day we were going to head down to Key West, but just decided to stay at the resort because it was so wonderful to chill at. We reserved a daybed that day right at the water's edge. They set it up with towels and water and we were able to order food. Even the aforementioned quesadilla. I was in heaven. They have bikes you can use too. Those were fun to ride down to Shell World and get some souvenirs. There's also a pool with a wonderful jacuzzi that is hot, private and has strong jets! This was just the most wonderful honeymoon! Despite no tub, I was a happy wife! And happy wife, happy life, right?

In total, we went through four general managers, each making new promises that never materialized. Even weeks before the wedding, when we were trying to make final payment, we couldn't get a response. When I finally raised concerns with the newest manager, her response was, "I have like six brides all contacting me at once." With all due respect, that's not how you handle a time-sensitive, stressful situation for a bride and her family. To add to the confusion, their website still showed units available just days before our event--even though we had rented out the entire resort. The units themselves are not equipped as expected either--we had to go out and purchase basic items like dish towels, a dish scrubber, pot holders, and more. Their new lanai roof leaks and ruined a couple of the custom built items we thought were safely stored since it's a brand new structure. We unpacked the U-Haul when we got home and had cockroaches in a few of the things stored in the main house.

We loved the breakfast buffet. The fruit and pastries were our favorites. We also loved Bogey and Bacall's. We didn't love Sea Senor's as much, although it was really fun and beautiful eating right by the beach. The food was just a bit bland. Another thing that I didn't fully realize until we got there was that there isn't a traditional beach. There is sand but it is lined by a rocky coast. You can swim in the ocean and you access it by stairs. So that is something to keep in mind. The pools were lovely and clean. But they could be bigger and maybe have like a water feature or something to improve the ambiance. The pools all close at sunset. Which also was a bit of a bummer and we weren't sure why. But we enjoyed swimming in them. We also didn't realize that seating around the pool is limited and if we wanted to have chairs by the pool, we'd have to get there early and save seats. The spa was incredible. We got a couples massage and it was one of the best massages I have ever had. Definitely recommend going there and treating yourself. Overall our experience was wonderful and romantic and relaxing. The private beach especially was really appreciated - it may have actually been one of the best on the island from the ones we ventured out to. A nice little sandy bar, plenty of beach chairs, and a few large tiki huts that shield you very well from any unexpected rain. We stayed in the Bayview cottage, which was one of the closest to the private beach and had a little fridge and counter area for prepping food. Also, I really loved the little vanity with a mirror and ledge in the living space that came in handy for getting ready while the bathroom was occupied. I was so impressed with the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms. Although the location and grounds are a bit rustic, the rooms are kept very clean and updated. Even small things like the paint on the walls and decor - it seems almost like it was painted and decorated yesterday! Everything is kept up. Lastly, I really appreciated that the office highlights the history of the property and gives a little story about Sunset Cove. I really loved learning that the property once was a manatee sanctuary. I think this history would also be great to feature in their website. Before we left, we had to get a photo in the swan boat at the main entrance and Julissa from the front desk was so kind to come take multiple photos for us even though it was super hot out. Overall, was delighted with our fun stay at Sunset Cove and will definitely be back in the future!
