I got there on time for my appointment but proceeded to wait at least 10 minutes if not more before I was taken back by a technician for the eye exam portion ($39 out of pocket for the digital exam). The digital exam was quick and easy enough that it took less than 10 minutes. After some brief Q&A with the technician, she then told me that the doctor would be right in. I waited what felt like almost a half an hour (although it was probably about 15-20 minutes) for the doctor to come in and finish. It went ok and Dr. Palmer answered my questions, provided me with my prescription (as I usually get my glasses online) and I left satisfied. It wasn't until I got home that I looked at my prescription and realized that there was no PD (pupillary distance) # listed. Thinking it was just an oversight, I called back today to get it and they said it would be an additional $25 because it's only given when buying glasses from them. Excuse me? Now it may be because I don't go to the eye doctor often, (and charging people extra for the faster more updated eye exam I understand) but you're going to charge an additional $25 just because they choose not to pay for your glasses (frames and lenses) too? If I had known that I would have to pay over $60 just for an exam and a PD number on my prescription I never would've gone there. Now being that I don't go to the eye doctor all the time, that may be a new thing that I just didn't know about but I was very clear from the beginning of my appointment what my intentions were and the technician nor the doctor did not tell me that while I could get a prescription from them it wouldn't include a necessary detail without a additional $25. I might have even paid it if it was $5 or less but I just expected it to be included with the $39 digital eye exam I was already paying extra for. I'm sorry Ocean Eye but this was the first and the last time I will be going to see you. I'll take my business elsewhere if you expect me to pay over $60 for an eye exam and prescription that includes the pupillary distance number needed for accurate eyeglasses.

The receptionist was very pleasant and friendly and it was easy to get an appointment within a reasonable timeframe. The office is very clean and pleasant. The best thing was the selection of glasses available. They even said that they can order a frame if they carry already carry the brand if you happen to have some thing specific and they don't have it in stock. The people that assisted with picking out the glasses and ordering them was very knowledgeable about what looks good and had great suggestions. They were able to offer me an appointment sooner than others I had called because of a cancellation. They spent 90 minutes with me, explaining every option, and were very helpful with frame suggestions and alternative solutions to explore with contact lenses that may better suit my needs. They have a very thorough understanding of the the brands available and answered my questions that had often been vaguely answered in the past at other offices. They also presented several choices for my high power lenses, and the prices, very clearly and let me decide, without any pressure at all, if I wanted to upgrade to the highest cost options or settle on a lower cost option that would still accomplish my goals for replacing my older glasses. I appreciated their honesty and we agreed on a lower cost option. I would highly recommend Premier Eye Care and trust that my followup visit(s) for contacts will go as smoothly as my first visit.

I received the glasses and have been in for adjustments at least 8-10 times in the month or so I have had them. Yesterday I asked about an exchange, I got a no sorry 'all sales final' response. Frankly I was shocked, annoyed and angry, and I still am. How is anyone to know that the frames are not going to be a good fit - unless an employee says something? Do they think we go out of our way find a poor fit? So, I guess now I have to go in every few days to get the frame adjusted. I was told, we can't send them back to the mfr, we can't sell them so you have to keep them. In other words they do NOT stand behind their own products, and they have your $$ and you are stuck with poor fitting frames. So, future buyers, be 1000000% sure your frames are a good fit or else you will be SOL, just like me. I cannot at this stage recommend them, unless they step up and fix this bad situation.
