Anybody who's ever needed surfboard repair knows how impossible it is to find a guy who will…read moredo a decent job, on time, for a reasonable price, etc. it's usually less fuss just to buy a new board than to deal with your old favorite board being taken hostage for the next four seasons by some mysterious dude who has three other day jobs in addition to ding repair and who won't return your calls (or your cash). Having experienced this, I hadn't bothered for about ten years and therefore have a backyard full of damaged boards. Island Surf evidently has some magical elf chained in their basement who is the last known craftsman in this trade. I took in a board with dings on the rails, one torn-out fin box (helpful reminder: don't drive over your board with your car), and two crushed "wings" on the swallowtail. Bottom line, this thing would sink in a puddle of spilled milk. The board was returned one day late (one day!! making it the most prompt repair in the history of this industry); the entire tail was rebuilt, looking literally better than new (I didn't ask for this btw); all finboxes replaced (also a bonus). It's no stretch to say it's better than new. The capper was when they handed the board back to me with complimentary wax, fin key, etc. Being a bad surfer, I'm kind of a connoisseur of repair for damaged boards. I can honestly say these guys do the best job I've seen in the US, Asia, etc.

Days later, I took to her my sunglasses to be prepared. She said it reminded her of being a preschool teacher. I went to a bakery and returned to pick them up. I was not charged anything. Hey they did an email blast which they rarely do and we have to shop small town. I am here to do my civic duty. That and I knew a pair of shoes I spotted last month might be gone with that email blast. So headed over and hoped they still had my size. There might be a god! Naa. Well yeah but he/she wouldn't be worried about shoes selling out. Amid the pandemonium of 2020 and 2021s first quarter .. things are looking like we'd all better just duck. Preferably Into a shop with a mask and gloves. We think we're good shoppers? Independent shop owners are the real pros and know where the good stuff is and bring it to us. What to expect at Shoe Inn: really tempting Sandals in summer, shoes year round and boots for winter. Sneakers ehh. Meh. But the hats are good too until they're all gone. Only saw a few left. They carry shoes made in Italy, Spain etc. There's something about Emmshu by Coolway from Spain that I really like. Not found at DSW or online too easily. Only saw them one other place but the currency was not USD! Once got a pair of metallic ankle height cowboy boots here knowing I'd possible never wear them. Weirdly i think I'll keep them forever. They faded to a dusty dark silver patina of sorts and they never fail to cheer up a pair of jeans. This time something much cuter for winter and so happy. So yes Shoe inn brings that something special feel to a small town shop that is more a gift to us than from us shopping local.

To my surprise I googled this dress and learned it was an older season's style and was already heavily discounted by other retailers. Mint is actually selling this dress ABOVE suggested retail price. I generally like to support local businesses however I would at the very least expect courteous treatment. I am disgusted by the sales girl's attitudes and have no desire to go back.

Heard not a thing but popped in today with my daughter to shop. Was told the pant came (NO call on my missed) and was told the in house note said VM full! Have no VM! Went from bad to worse. Asked for a refund as we are DONE but had to wait 20 minutes int the manager got on the phone with me and promised a check! Then 8 more minutes as the sales girls mocked me with the manager as I begged to leave NEVER to return. Long story short I live 2 blocks away year round and have 2 daughters who have many, many, many friends!!!
