For over 10 years,I've been wearing dual contact lenses recommended by Dr. C. He wears them himself and I NEVER have to wear reading glasses!! It is so great!! I've been wearing glasses since I was a 15 mon old baby and these lenses are the best!! Also, Chris is so patient when fitting my glasses. DO NOT GO HERE. The woman I dealt with had an attitude (I agree with Carolina L.'s review). She rudely insisted that I should take time off from work again, so they could fix their mistake. Really?! I am supposed to take more time off from work and trust them a second time? No, don't waste your time. They are sloppy and unprofessional. read more

Beware. While I was there, the staff gave incorrect and misleading information about vision insurance to another customer and also to me. We were the only two customers. It felt very manipulative to me. The result for me was that I didn't get the frames that I wanted and could have gotten through my insurance; I got frames that I liked less. When I questioned what they were telling me, they said that they were 100% certain that what they were telling me was correct. I should have known better. Be sure you understand your benefits when you go in there, and don't accept any information from them that seems questionable. read more

Upon arriving for a comprehensive eye exam appointment, I waited 45 minutes to be seen. Then, the eye exam was conducted in a hurried fashion, taking no more than a few minutes. I wish they had taken a little longer to confirm that my new prescription was correct, especially since my new prescription differed so drastically from my old one. I just got my new glasses and it's like I'm looking at the reflection of the world in a fun house mirror. I can't wear them for more than a few minutes without getting a headache. They just want your money. They don't care about you and the staff is highly unpleasant. Go to Costco! Much better service. Way better prices. Or go online to order. Southampton Optics takes a huge profit. The money goes in their pocket- bottom line - do not shop here. read more

I went in for an eye doctor appointment and had to wait 1 hour to be called in. During the time I waited I was very patient as I usually am and never said one thing. My exam was conducted and the doctor told me to put my contacts in the opposite eye they were meant for. After some trouble seeing I called, waited an hour to be reached and then finally decided it would be best to go in. I went in and explained I could not see to which I received an immense amount of attitude from two of the girls working there. One bigger with curly hair and the other a new girl with blonde hair who responded "I don't know I'm not the doctor" to one of my questions. This is the first review I've left of a business because I usually let it slide but the lack of professionalism and disrespect from these women working there was disgusting and humiliating. As a college student I've dealt with my fair share of attitude in all places but never anything like this from a business. read more

Wow- outstanding service! We bought several pairs of glasses in June, but the frames on the progressive lenses broke. I brought the glasses with the broken frames in, and they swapped the lenses into a new frame while I waited. The whole thing took 20 minutes! And they were covered by the warranty- no charge- and they did the service with a smile! I will definitely come back to Southampton Optiks !
