This is my new optic home. I found Main Street Optics with a glasses crisis struggling to see getting through the holidays. The process was so different from a lifetime of purchasing glasses, Kevin Palmer, Optician offered solutions for every obstacle right from our first phone call. The end result, he was able to get me new glasses that I really LOVE despite all the current obstacles and in a very short time. The shop is INCREDIBLY clean. There is help in safety and comfort from start to finish with one of their staff caring for everyone starting with space management. Bottom line, everyone was informative, warm and inviting including the wonderful optometrist, who came out to answer any questions I had. My glasses were measured so precisely by Kevin the first time they didn't even need adjusting. They fit on my head and face with perfection. I feel so grateful for the help since breaking my glasses makes you vulnerable in everything you do. He was so kind to walk me through and make me feel it was very doable when I couldn't imagine getting something I liked let alone love and they helped me feel comfortable in trying to make a new choice. The woman was so rude that my children were shocked. THEN we went to Main Street Optics which had all the great reviews on Google and YELP.. We walked in, they took a look - offered me a couple of solutions and had my glasses fixed over the weekend for a VERY reasonable price. This shop is NOT Southampton overpriced. The people are wonderful and smart. I left Southampton to go back to DC before they were ready - Kevin mailed them and they arrived the next day!! With jelly beans in the box for cushioning!! I popped in here to try to purchase a repair kit for my beloved sunnies that had lost a screw. The woman working inside informed me that they don't sell repair kits, but she took my glasses to the back and repaired them in a few minutes free of charge. Customer service at its finest. On Saturday morning, I came in with my wife to get her glasses repaired. The night before, one of the nose pads broke off. The whole crew couldn't have been more helpful. Was recently in Southampton and was pleased to find an upscale eyeglass store open all year around. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable and did not push the sale on me. They have a wide selection of frames, some very expensive and others less expensive. There are a variety of brand names like Chanel, Prada, Chrome Hearts and many more. Great spot to look for glasses. There is an eye doctor on site too. FYI they also repaired my old glasses with no charge. read more

Price is no obstacle for me especially for my eyes and I've spent over a grand on glasses in NYC and LA Getting past the mega douche who greeted us in this shop was the issue. First of all his dismissive utterance and demeaning hand wafting like we were peasants was insulting. He interrupted me twice and seemed angry about something. Maybe it was because I wasn't wearing a Rolex? If Main St gave me free 24k gold glasses for life I would still tell them to shove it.
