I had beef truly struggling to update my eye glasses. I had to take a different eye glass store to court to get my money back when they failed to acceptably execute a prescription. Upgrade. Dr Bob. St Main Street Optics saved the day!! He worked with me diligently and with tremendous courtesy to allay my apprehension's and ultimately help me with an updated prescription... The whole staff treated me like family and remained completely committed to resolving the issues. In the end they achieved the objectives. I am so pleased I saw my way to Main Street Optics. I could not be happier with the results Highly recommend Main Street Optics to everyone in Beautiful Southampton.. Happy Halloween...!!!! read more

Very professional, honest and accommodating... with reasonable prices! I needed special lenses for my new Dita frames and they've taken great care of me. Like many people, I literally live in my glasses, so quality is very important. The folks at Main Street Optics took the time to explain recent advances in lens technology, along with all the pros and cons so I could make an informed decision. They've communicated and kept me in the loop throughout the entire ordering process. I'll definitely recommend them and will return myself for all future eyeglass needs. Thanks Main Street Optics! read more

This is my new optic home. I found Main Street Optics with a glasses crisis struggling to see getting through the holidays. The process was so different from a lifetime of purchasing glasses, Kevin Palmer, Optician offered solutions for every obstacle right from our first phone call. The end result, he was able to get me new glasses that I really LOVE despite all the current obstacles and in a very short time. The shop is INCREDIBLY clean. There is help in safety and comfort from start to finish with one of their staff caring for everyone starting with space management. Bottom line, everyone was informative, warm and inviting including the wonderful optometrist, who came out to answer any questions I had. My glasses were measured so precisely by Kevin the first time they didn't even need adjusting. They fit on my head and face with perfection. I feel so grateful for the help since breaking my glasses makes you vulnerable in everything you do. He was so kind to walk me through and make me feel it was very doable when I couldn't imagine getting something I liked let alone love and they helped me feel comfortable in trying to make a new choice. I can't thank them enough for making this such a comforting experience. I love my new glasses! read more

The store was well equipped in Covid procedures. I was greeted by a friendly person who adjusted my glasses, no questions asked, they did a great job for no cost. I am very pleased :) read more

These 5 Star ratings you see are not a hoax! Main Street Optics is the best. There is another optician in the village where I brought my broken frames for a repair. The woman was so rude that my children were shocked. THEN we went to Main Street Optics which had all the great reviews on Google and YELP.. We walked in, they took a look - offered me a couple of solutions and had my glasses fixed over the weekend for a VERY reasonable price. This shop is NOT Southampton overpriced. The people are wonderful and smart. I left Southampton to go back to DC before they were ready - Kevin mailed them and they arrived the next day!! With jelly beans in the box for cushioning!! I was thrilled, the kids were even happier. I'm posting this on Google and Yelp because they deserve it. read more

This optometrist saved my vacation and gave me some contacts for me that I forgot at home. Thank you so much! Really appreciated. read more

I popped in here to try to purchase a repair kit for my beloved sunnies that had lost a screw. The woman working inside informed me that they don't sell repair kits, but she took my glasses to the back and repaired them in a few minutes free of charge. Customer service at its finest. Next time I need sunglasses in Southampton, there will be no doubt about where I will shop. read more

Main Street Optics is the definition of exceptional service. And this is not hyperbole. This team is far and away the best you will find, and that's an open challenge. I have worn prescription eyeglasses for 40 years, have had eye exams and bought glasses all over the Hamptons, Manhattan and LA, and no one even comes close to the satisfaction I have experienced here. Having lived full-time in NYC for years, my family and I *always* go to Main Street in Southampton for eyewear: no exceptions. Bob, Kevin and Jesse are consummately professional, superiorly knowledgeable, and the nicest people you could hope to meet. They genuinely want to serve you and help you find the best glasses to make you look and feel your best--and that includes the all-critical eye examination. There is no sly upselling here nor ever an ulterior motive as we've all experienced too many times at too many other, lesser shops. If I could personally offer a money back guarantee on your purchase I would; they are truly *that* good! read more

Best place! I was in a real bind and they totally saved me! They could not have been nicer. Highly recommend for all of your eye needs.

Rip-off city. Eye exam guy is friendly and seemingly competent. Business guy up front is an absolute dick, would be better selling used cars. If money is no object, have at it. read more

I've been going to Main Street Optics for a few years now - I always get my sunglasses from them and I went again last weekend to pick up a pair for my wife for her birthday. They have a wide variety of styles, and prices, which I like. And the staff isn't pushy. They even offer suggestions and I don't feel like they're trying to upsell me. Very chill. read more

Great selection of glasses and display. Superb service and products. These people really know what they were doing. They saved my glasses when I stepped on them thought they were ruined. This is a great place to get both an eye exam and a pair of glasses. And best of all, they can take care of both in short order. I was in and out with both within 30 minutes. I was very impressed with the competency of all of the staff members, and I can recommend this place to anyone in need of either an eye exam or a new pair of glasses. read more

On Saturday morning, I came in with my wife to get her glasses repaired. The night before, one of the nose pads broke off. The whole crew couldn't have been more helpful. We were in and out in apx 10 min. They would not accept any payment. Not even coffee. I am definitely coming back when I need new glasses. I highly recommend Main Street Optical. Thank you very much. read more

Main Street Optics has the best customer service EVER. I highly recommend! I am sooo picky about my glasses frames and it takes me forever to decide on a new frame, but they are always so nice and helpful and patient! I recently moved out of state and mailed them my frames to get the lenses changed and it went so smoothly, they even returned them to me with jelly beans as an extra treat! I'll never go anywhere else. read more

Was recently in Southampton and was pleased to find an upscale eyeglass store open all year around. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable and did not push the sale on me. They have a wide selection of frames, some very expensive and others less expensive. There are a variety of brand names like Chanel, Prada, Chrome Hearts and many more. Great spot to look for glasses. There is an eye doctor on site too. FYI they also repaired my old glasses with no charge. read more

The epitome of customer care and service along with an excellent, upscale selection of eyeglasses, sunglasses etc. Jesse Diaz, Optician Apprentice/Stylist is one of the most endearing, extraordinary, customer service employees I have ever met. He welcomed repairing my designer/vintage sunglasses and would not accept any $ although I begged him to as a thank you. This will definitely be my one and only stop next time I need to purchase chic glasses/sunglasses and rest assured my husbands too!! These guys/gals are really good at what they do! read more

Extremely rude employees. Would NOT recommend going here. I went in to try on a couple of glasses. When I went to try on my first pair and look in the mirror the employee says "oh no we weren't using that mirror". I was completely unaware I took "their" mirror. I put down the glasses and walked out. read more

I have been a loyal patient since 2004. Dr. Robert Ruggiero, Kevin, Jesse and Gabrielle are fantastic!!! Not only is their work outstanding but they are also very nice people. I have eyeglasses and contacts fitted by Dr. Ruggiero who has given me the acuity/sight I thought I could never again have. He has spent hours with me applying a multitude of strategies to achieve the best vision possible both through glasses and contact lenses. My vision is the most important element of this process but having beautiful and stylish glasses and sunglasses is almost as important to me. I am constantly being approached by people who comment about how much they love my glasses; I recommend Main Street Optics all of the time!!!! This is a great crew of people. They are the perfect combination of outstanding competence and true concern for their patients. Thanks guys!!!!! read more

Kevin, Bob and Jesse are the nicest guys in the business. I returned today with glasses that needed a small repair. Again, no charge and a ton of good cheer! They are truly invested in their customer's experience and are always willing to go the extra mile. I still live in New York City and still will venture out to Southampton to buy my glasses only from them! How could I not when I always know that these guys are on my side - helping me to see well and look good while doing so! read more

Price is no obstacle for me especially for my eyes and I've spent over a grand on glasses in NYC and LA Getting past the mega douche who greeted us in this shop was the issue. First of all his dismissive utterance and demeaning hand wafting like we were peasants was insulting. He interrupted me twice and seemed angry about something. Maybe it was because I wasn't wearing a Rolex? If Main St gave me free 24k gold glasses for life I would still tell them to shove it. We went to Leahy Opticians two blocks away and we were treated like royalty. read more
