Crammed with clothing, "new" Patagonia items form…read moreyears ago, unsold, and lots of accessories, a few of which are worth having for an avid paddler. The gentleman who runs (or ran, as they may be going out of business or changing hands) is nice, but hard of hearing, and so low-key he's nearly asleep. Their location is a nice one, with secure parking and instant access via canal to Setauket Harbor and ultimately, the Sound. Kayak line is poor, with the only composite line being the Canadian firm, Boreal. The business caters mainly to rental/tourists, and sale items reflect this. No evidence of SUP boards or support, last time I was there in the spring of 2013. No trained or certified teaching staff is available, which is unfortunate, as this would be a great place to learn to kayak! Maybe the future will hold a more eager staff and professional outlook.
