The food is what truly stands out to me about this spot. I fell in love with buckwheat crepes on a trip to France a few years ago but there are few places in Nashville serving decent crepes, let alone buckwheat ones. Yellow Table offers sweet and savory crepe options, all cooked perfectly lightly crispy and fresh with that incredible nutty buckwheat flavor, exactly how it should be done. My favorites have been the savory crepes, particularly the build your own with prosciutto, leek, spinach, and cheddar - a filling, tasty, and decently healthy option for $15. There's also coffee and tea, pastries, salads, soups (with bread from the amazing wine bar next door), and rotating specials each day. There's limited seating: a few two or three person tables and one shared table inside; in warmer months there are also a few small tables outside. But the WiFi is decent and I see a lot of folks coming here to do a bit of work while grabbing a bite. In just a year Yellow Table Cafe has already made itself an indelible East Nashville neighborhood gem.
