I've been on a kick with this style of restaurant. First I love shellfish, so a "Crab Boil" is just the right meal for me. I've been finding these restaurants in many cities around the country, particularly in the south. So I'm in Nashville, Tennessee for work and before I check into my hotel I must eat. "Juicy Seafood " pops up and I'm all in. It's in a shopping center so plenty of parking. It's a little late on a Wednesday evening so not too may people eating and no wait. Desare is my waitress, sorry for misspelling, but she was great. Took my order and made a couple of good suggestions . In asking about the heat levels she thought I was asking for "Hot". Oh no she says, it way too hot, stick with the medium. Next she shows up with all necessary utensils, claw cracker. Claw meat picker, and of course a bib. I ordered the King Crab, sausage, and Shrimp, which comes with corn on the Cobb, and potatoes. Of course in a delicious sauce. Claws were a good amount, and it seemed like an endless amount of shrimp. You got me with the shrimp. Sausage was really good, but sliced very thin. Corn was tender and juicy. I didn't eat the potatoes because there was a lot of food . Just didn't have room for them. Before I leave, Deserie brings a to go cup for my drink. Ok, you don't have to ask, I highly recommend "Juicy Seafood ", so if you go keep a lookout for Deserie she's the best.

We were hungry and spontaneously picked this place. It was close and convenient. We walked in around 5:30pm and there were only a few other tables occupied and 1 server. Normally this place is packed. The server looked like she was taking care of seating people when they came in and taking orders in the dinning area and for take out calls. The response time to our order and others requests was slower than usual. We did enjoy our food. With a shortage on servers, it is best to have patience when eating out. :)

The food and service were incredible. We had the fried catfish, fried oysters, and calamari. All of it was well breaded, seasoned, and so tasty! On a cold, snowy day this was the PERFECT place to eat.

Very cool ambience, crazy graffiti walls but very clean place, pleasant, and very helpful server AND of course food outsourcing!! The whole experience is crazy cool! Definitely to visit.

Combo special F (1 lb king crab, 1/2 lb clams, 1/2 lb sausage) - juicy special, extra hot

The food is delish! Everything was fresh. Just how it should always taste. For seasoning we ordered the juicy special in extra hot. I recommend the juicy special. Extra hot was not hot enough for me but that's the highest spice level they have. The pricing is a bit more on the pricey side for seafood. What really needs to improve is the service. The server was nice but I barely saw him. It took 7 minutes to get water ordered. 20 minutes for raw oysters to come out and 40 minutes for the rest of our food. I get that the restaurant was busy but 40 minutes is beyond what anyone should wait at a restaurant.

Heard there was a new seafood place open in Middle Tennessee. We're talking all kinds of shellfish, crustaceans, fried fish options, and RAW OYSTERS!!! So made a date with my foodie buddie so we could get our hands dirty. We were seated immediately and started scouring the menu trying to decide what and how to order to get the best sample of the offerings. Our waiter Shawn provided us some guidance and we started off with a dozen oysters. While waiting for the oysters we finally decided on two "Get Your Hands Dirty" with Shrimp, Crawfish, Clams, Green Mussels, Black Mussels, and Sausage. The meal also comes with corn on the cob and whole red skin taters. We both decided on the Garlic Butter sauce at the mild level which was a great choice although there are other options with varying levels of "spice" The oysters arrived chilled and very plump...these were a great deal and very tasty. When the "bags" of dinner arrived we were as happy as kids on Christmas morning. Having the freshly boiled seafood tossed in the garlic butter and Cajun spices in the bag was incredible. You get a bib and gloves, open the bag, and DIG IN! I have to say, everything in the bags was really good and the flavors from the sauce was spot on. A few highlights...the crawfish were huge and provided a lot of meat, the sausage was really good, and the green mussels were some of the best I have had in a long time. You need to break open the red skin taters and allow them to soak up some of the sauce...incredible. As for the corn on the cob...yes corn on the cob...just WOW with the garlic butter and spices. Sarah (the manager) visited our table and checked on us a few times...she was a pleasure to talk to! Shawn provided us great service and on our way out reiterated it was a pleasure meeting us and to come back soon. This type of service, along with great food makes it worth the trip out to Hermitage. There are several other options and combinations to try here. Just letting folks know...not a low cost option for dinner BUT you are getting some delicious food that is very well prepared.

Combo D-- 1 lb of crab legs and 1/2 lb of shrimp. Delicious
    Mae D.

Food was really good!!! I would of liked the seasoning to be more on the shrimp/veggies but it was heavy at the bottom. You just had to sauce/soup it up! Crab legs were great and meaty! Did the combo D and it was affordable!

I was so happy to finally see this place open. I was stalking them for awhile since I've seen that sign up months ago. The place itself is really spacious and we went on Sunday around 5 and was so glad see they weren't too busy. They have really good specials the waiter don't tell you about, i happen to look at some pics before i came and saw it so i asked for the specials menu. At first our waiter was very attentive and as soon as we got our food we had to wave him down. Overall the food was good and it tasted fresh. The hot wasn't really spicy so next time i will get the x-hot. I got the "b" with the hot juicy spice which included shrimp, crawfish and crablegs. It was plenty for me. And i also got half a dozen of oysters and they were good, a little too big for my liking but it was good and fresh. And we also got a lb of king crab legs and the shrimp basket. Yes too much food but we ate almost all of it. I will definitely be coming back. So happy to see we finally have something like this in Nashville.

Two nights in a row, cajon style shrimp and crab boil. Love this style of cooking! With "Storming Crab", "Crab Fever", and now this place, "Juicy Seafood", it seems these places are popping up all over town, so I must not be the only one who likes it! For this place, I like the broccoli in the mix, with the corn and potatoes. The sauce is great, and I also like the sides, appetizers, and hush puppies. I ordered medium spicy garlic butter sauce, for my shrimp and snow crab legs. Everything was perfect and the service was great! If you haven't had this style of cooking, do yourself a favor, and try it! The bibs and gloves are great too!

    A4. Fried Calamari
    Cherita W.

Had a craving for Calamari the crab cakes were just extra. The Calamari was crispy with the sweet chili sauce if I'm not mistaken on the sauce. The crab cake wasn't very crabby but it's to be expected for the price. The outside was crispy but inside was really soft from the breading. It was more red peppers in them than crab. I'll visit again just won't order the crab cakes.

So glad we've finally gotten a crawfish boil in the area. We've been a few times --- the one time we went on a slower night the food tasted really salty. However, the other few times we've gone it was perfect. I've ordered the hottest and i feel like i could've handled it even a little hotter, but it still tasted good.

    Val S.

I would say my experience was better than a few reviewers I've read. Waited about 30 mins for a table . Waiter took our order and our food came out fairly quick. We started out with a dozen fresh oysters. Oysters were fresh and a good size. Then we order 2 pound shrimp, 2 pound crawfish, 1lb snow crab , 1lb Dungeness crabs, 1 pound clams and wings to go. We got the extra hot juicy special flavor. (Which wasn't asian hot at all) so if u like spicy food, get the extra hot. The crab legs were small, Dungeness crab were a good size and sweet meats, the crawfish was not fresh. It tasted like freezer bag crawfish but they were big size. The clams were good and the shrimp with the head on was a good size also. The seasoning was good but when they sprinkle more seasoning on top of the seafood it was to salty. Over all I would come here again. FYI, They also have a full bar and no more BYOB .

With a 4.77 aggregate rating across all user-driven platforms and nearly 1,700 reviews to date, Krustaceans is much better on paper than it is in reality, a very overrated restaurant! As the highest-rated seafood joint on the entirety of Highway 70 across the America, it simply did not live up to the hype as I passed through Nashville. Perhaps I should have ordered crab or shrimp or some other boiled seafood which seems to be more of their specialty. But the fish and chips caught my attention. Beware, these aren't the fish and chips you'll find in the UK or the Northeastern United States. Instead of a crisp, beer-battered exterior, this is more like a catfish breading. And it's not bad, but it's just very different than the name would imply. The batter is probably too salty, but the fish is very fresh! The Cajun fries are horribly mediocre. They're definitely just frozen fries from a local supermarket with an uninspiring spice mix. The employees didn't seem very welcoming either, which was kind of sad since I was excited to be there. It's not a bad meal at all, but the ratings are way higher than they should be! If you're haphazardly shelling out five-star reviews, you've probably never had real seafood on the coast and have only inflated the truth for online viewers. Don't expect too much out of Krustaceans, hope for a decent meal, and you won't be disappointed.

I especially love it when simplicity and genuine passion is served, not just presentation. Anyway, to start off - this market, and it's a market, not quite a restaurant. When my friend and I stopped in, there was one table, four chairs. Since we were there late, we were able to sit and dine in. Sitting and eating there allowed us to chat with Kojo - the owner. Learning not just about the market but his history and his passion for what he does. Switching gears again - the market is in a huge shopping plaza. Lots of parking. And free. As for the food - see the pics. Dinner pics is mixed in with what was left in the market. I can't even begin to explain how much I enjoyed the flavors of the dishes he made on the spot for us. As we were there late in the day, most of the popular dishes were sold out however, he made a few suggestions, even two that were off the menu and made it to order. When we were there, it was a one man operation. So he was also our host and server. If you couldn't tell - service was excellent. Chatting about food. About seafood. About the beginning of Gulf Port. And about life in general. This is one of those places, that if I lived there - I'd frequent the place just because of him. It's just too bad that me going there requires a plane ticket and a five or so hour flight. But, also know this - next time I fly into Nashville, I'll make my way to Hermitage and have more delicious, fresh seafood.

**April 2025: Saturday Evening Visit**…read more My friend and I wanted to eat somewhere in the Hermitage area since that's where we were staying and Gulf Port Seafood had really high ratings, which were 100% well deserved. I should preface this by saying that Gulf Port is a seafood market first and that they have one table (4 chairs) so you can dine-in - but space is limited. Kojo, the restaurant owner, has both raw and hot options for patrons to enjoy. We came pretty late on a Saturday so many of his popular items (gumbo and lobster roll) were sold out, but we decide to try his other offerings which were delicious. We ordered the 2 orders of Cajun Crawfish Roll (methinks $15?), Seafood Mac & Cheese (methinks $20?) and Shrimp and Grits ($20? maybe) and all were made to order and brought to our table in a timely manner. The Cajun Crawfish Rolls came out first (I guess one order is given two rolls) and we demolished it. The toasted bun had a nice char, but was fluffy on the inside and the cajun sauce gave the crawfish nice flavor. We devoured this and were really impressed with the item. Next the Seafood Mac and Cheese came our as well as the shrimp and grits. The Mac and Cheese had such a great blend of cheeses and the noodles were cooked al dente. The grits on the shrimp and grits were scrumptious - not mushy at all and the shrimp was cooked through. Everything tasted very comforting and the prices are very reasonable! Overall, this was definitely a highlight meal of my Southern States travels and the next time I'm back in Nashville I hope to try the gumbo and lobster roll!

This is a no-frills, smaller restaurant inside a strip of stores in a questionable-looking area of town. As I parked the car, I thought twice about actually going in, but based on the Yelp reviews, I decided to give it a try. It was clean inside, and, as I mentioned, the service and staff were 5-star! My food was where it went wrong for me. I started with the summer rolls (the ones in rice paper); they serve sushi and Thai food here. I have been craving summer rolls; I love the freshness of the mint and herbs, combined with crunchy peanuts and peanut sauce. However, that fell short for me here. The peanut sauce was reddish and tasted more like ketchup, so that was a letdown. No little peanuts anywhere in the sauce or on the plate. It was jam-packed with iceberg lettuce, which you would typically put on a Taco, so it wasn't very fresh-tasting, and it contained the tiniest piece of shrimp I've ever seen inside. Following my gut, I decided not to order my usual sushi selection, which is always raw, unfried, and unsauced. However, I decided to play it safe, so I opted for a Mexican roll instead. I asked for no eel sauce, but I should have also specified that I wanted spicy mayo on the side. It covered my roll, and I had to use a napkin to remove what I could. This is usually a roll that is around $6 to $10, but for some reason, they were charging $14. They made the rolls bigger, but not by filling them with more shrimp, avocado, etc.; instead, they added more rice. This may be someone's cup of tea, but it wasn't mine, and I won't be back, but wish them the best!
