Overpriced and small portions. The fish was almost not there. The pieces were so small and t the tail end of the fish was just a fish chip. There was no meat there. They charge $3.50 for a homemade drink that doesn't live up to flavor, forget about hype! The fries were supposed to be seasoned, but contained nothing, no salt no pepper, and definitely no seasoning. Definitely not worth the premium price for subpar food! First time traveling to the area and I must say, I'm glad we stumbled across this place! While the restaurant isn't a fine dining type of restaurant, it was clean and the food was cooked to perfection! The fish was AMAZING! I had both the catfish and the perch. I would HIGHLY recommend getting the catfish meal! You get the option to add a spice level to your fish. As a person who isn't crazy about heat, I still went with the Nashville hot and it was phenomenal. So good we went 2 times out of our 3 day stay! The fries we nicely cooked and you can tell it's not cooked in the same grease as the fries and the cole slaw was great! Highly recommended and the staff is really nice. read more

Ehhh.....we heard so many great things about this place and really wanted to like it. First time visiting and had questions, but felt rushed to place an order mind you there was no one else in the establishment at the time. We were told it would be 10 minutes for our food, which was fine seeing that it's cooked fresh. It was about 20 minutes before we got our order only for it to not be correct, but I blame that on the fact the man at the register seemed to be in such a rush to where he put everything I ordered in wrong. I was told it would be another 10 before it could be fixed. Get home to sit down and try it all and it seems like everything was fried in the same oil. The chicken had a burnt taste along with a fish like smell, hush puppies were rather crispy, shrimp rubbery and fried too hard, and the fish's breading separated from the meat. The pizza puff was ok, it was probably the best thing we ordered. Ask for mild sauce with whatever you get because it definitely adds that extra kick. Go try for yourself. I hope you have a better experience than we did. Maybe one day we will give it another try! read more

Wanted to get some authentic Nashville hot chicken before we left Tennessee and wow this hit the spot. The service is a bit sluggish, but as the sign says in the window, "Good Food Takes Time" This is not a fast food joint, it's a really flavorful take on hot chicken and seafood. I really wanted to be impressed but I wasn't. The food was mediocre. I had a 3 piece combo (catfish and wings). Everything looked it was store bought, frozen items. The catfish was not fresh and did not look like it had been breaded in the restaurant. The wings were breaded. I could tell they were store bought and not breaded in house. Same goes for the onion rings. These are things that I would have expected from a fast food restaurant and not this type of dine-in restaurant. Even the desserts looked store bought and not baked locally. That is the draw for these types of restaurants, fresh items and locally sourced. I did not have an issue with my service. I raved about this place to so many people about how good the food is. Loved the whole wings, the catfish, the gizzards, the Italian beef(dipped of course) up until recently. The consistency had gone so low it will bottom out. The last time I got the gizzards they were overcooked, the time before they tasted like the oil was burnt and haven't been changed in two weeks. I got the catfish nuggets today and they used to be bomb now they no longer are cornmeal battered and season less. They taste like nothing. Highly disappointed and won't be back. read more

Stopped in for lunch and the place was empty except for one lady getting a take out order, which it seemed most people do take out although the seating is very spacious and they have family type dining nooks. The first thing we noticed on this visit was very loud, pounding bass music. It was uncomfortable but we waited on our order as we had been here before and really enjoyed it. We both got fish and it was very good, came with plenty of French fries and Cole slaw, condiment packages of ketchup and tartar sauce. Fresh white bread and crisp, fresh onion with mustard for the sandwich. Whiting and catfish were equally good and and very well seasoned. If they turn down the volume of the music, we would enjoy the experience a lot more when dining in. read more

Was totally impressed great food and flavor was amazing. My one complaint is I paid the up charge to add more shrimp and did not receive the extra shrimp.
