We were In town for my sons army graduation and this spot was literally 5 mins walk from our hotel, this place was finger licking good, prices were great and the service was amazing, my dad forgot his phone there and they held it for us while we picked it up. read more

This is your typical Asian Buffet with plenty of selections. Everything tasted fresh and it was hot. The Sushi was really go too.... in fact for the price, you cant beat all you can eat Sushi!!! I will definitely try the hibachi grill next time as it really looked good. All the Buffet tops were kept clean by the staff and they were very quick to get our plate when you finished. Something for everyone... I will definitely be hitting this place more as the price is right for the quantity and quality of the food. read more

The hibachi food is great, nice cooks. Safe to eat, but The buffet food is lukewarm especially at 11:00 maybe 100 degrees at most. So, it is not being heated to 165 degrees and placed in warming trays. You can not use warming trays to heat. Maybe by noon it is up to 140 holding temp, but Bacteria thrives between 40-140. Just be weary if you eat early. Servers are all very sweet and helpful. read more

Ocean Buffet - Sushi bar, and Hibachi grill - Buffets Near Me - Saint Robert, Missouri

Wanted to give this place 3 stars, but they do more right than other places I've been too. Ocean Buffet is the best Chinese buffet within the Fort Leonard radius hands down. They're not perfect, but they do much better than I have seen at other chinese buffets. Primarily, food quality is generally very good for buffet standards. The hibachi grill is always my first checkpoint during my feeding frenzy (Sadly the consistency of taste is not there. Certain chefs seem to have more experience). I highly recommend that they add more sauces at the hibachi grill for more variety. The kimchi soup was surpsrisingly addictive as well, and the desert was pretty decent. Even the ice cream had alot of flavor! (No toppings though) Customer service is solid, depending in who you get. The Korean lady is the nicest and hardest working we've seen there. Decor hasn't really changed over the past 3 years and the price is still pretty unmatchable (around $12 a person!) for the food you get. This place could do even better with a couple changes (specifically more and better quality sushi), but overall a great place to get your food coma on! read more

Standard buffet. The soups were a bit watery. They had frogs legs for dinner and they were very good. Very flavorful. The price is very good for the food too. read more

If someone awarded Ocean Buffet 5 stars I wouldn't vigorously debate them. It's far above average for Chinese buffets, as well as any buffet catering to a middle-of-the-road audience. What separates it from like restaurants is its size, freshness, and diversity. Located in a former Ryan's, Ocean Buffet takes up every bit of food space as that huge smorgasbord, providing tremendous variety in food items. Chinese selections dominated the food items but there were sufficient American favorites to provide other options. On a mid-week night at 7pm food trays were still being freshened. Deep fried selections were crisp and hot, cool items remained chilled, and maki rolls and sushi options didn't taste stale. The hibachi grill was still cooking customized entrees. That's not to say everything was perfect. Fried calamari was so chewy as to be inedible. Frog legs could be predictably described as tasting like fried chicken. Wasabi, while potent, was dry almost to cracking. However, overall, I believe most diners would feel they got a good value for taste and variety. Then there's the bonus of attentive service that quickly whisked away dirty dishes without removing the chopsticks, and refilling beverages before glasses were empty. For the price--about the same as Golden Corral and similar restaurants--Ocean Buffet clearly stands out. read more

I love this place, and I'm picky when it comes to Chinese food. I always judge a Chinese restaurant by their soup and this place has 4 soups to choose from. The hot and sour is phenomenal. Cant wait to try the others. Really great atmosphere. Clean. Friendly staff and the food is wonderful. read more

This is probably one of the best Chinese buffets I've ever eaten at before. The price is unbeatable for lunch and dinner, hot and fresh, and the Hibachi grill is delicious! They have the best seasoned steak and you can get as many as you like just like everything else. The service is great and the staff members are friendly. My wife and I try to always stop here to eat whenever we are in the area. read more

So the food was very tastee. So a lot of dishes weren't replenished in a timely manner. I decided to hop over to the Habachi and I was truly impressed. After that plate I was able to back to the buffet and get some of those tastee frog legs.... Yum yum yum... The place was packed., but in the C end I left with a full belly. That being said, I'm down for the count. If you are in the area stop in. You won't be disappointed read more

Great food awesome buffet with sushi!. I have recommended ocean to many people and will continue to do so!

Its alright if you want normal food. Nothing fancy..food isn't anything to write home about.. the worst part in my opinion was the rice..you would think for an asian restaurant they could get that right..rice was sub standard at best..desserts not half bad though read more

Coming from California I was actually shocked at how good the food was. Price was definitely a plus and the many options was to my liking

It's not clear when first entering that the rational choice of food is to only eat Hibachi fresh cooked food at this place. You enter and are walked into the back and aimed at the buffet without explaining that you can eat fresh cooked Hibachi. The buffet food was ALL Terrible, not fresh, like feeding at a pig trough. I would only eat the hibachi fresh cooked all of the Buffett, even the desserts were crap. Swing and a miss for sure. read more

Chinese food! Has a huge variety of selection and it is all delicious. If you're trying to eat health, look else where.

About what you would expect from a buffet. Nothing exceptional, and nothing bad. Over all it is a budget friendly place to eat.

Typical Chinese buffet. I did like their coconut shrimp. They also had good assortment of others dishes!

About 5 years ago this place was always a great place to go too. Now the food is always dry and they place is starting to look run down.

Impressive for buffet food! Visiting my husband at a military school we just coupsnt decide on what to eat and we were lead here and were not disappointed! Fresh selection, great service, good price. Great food. We will be back if were ever in the area. read more

Clean place, amazing food and service. Kind and friendly staff and helpful of anything you need. Great place for family dinner or a private party. The food is fresh all the time and no slack with the hot food or dessert. Kitchen bar is always delicious and cool to watch them make your favorite food with grace and skill and love. It's nice seeing staff being professional and still have a good sense of humour. Any allergies are addressed quickly. I have a lot so I know it's a pain for everyone but they don't mind at all making sure you are taken care of properly and that says a lot! They thanked me even and added it to a list of things to look forward to in the future for people like me. If you have diet restrictions they also are on top of this and go above and beyond to get you what you want without fear of any cut corners. This is the ONLY buffet of its kind I can proudly say I never got food poisoning or an allergic reaction from. They are truly excellent! read more

Nothing is great, most things aren't even good, tons are actually really bad. Seems like things sit out wayyy too long. Some things genuinely taste spoiled. The sushi is flavorless, as are many of the other dishes. None of the desserts are any good. My party agreed. Personally, I enjoyed the crab Rangoon and mushroom delight, and that was about it. My party also said the egg rolls, cashew chicken, and lo mein were okay. Honestly no idea why this place had 4 stars on Yelp.... read more

My youngest daughters favorite place. She loves it here so much she always asks to come here. The stir fry station is always well stocked. Chicken, beef, shrimp, noodles, rice and veggies galore. The chef makes it quick and you can always make is spicy and add garlic if you want. My daughter loved the sushi bar. She loves the California rolls there and they are always making fresh sushi there. The buffet area is the rest of my family's favorite. They have everything from soup to salad, dessert to appetizers, fruits, puddings, chicken, fish, beef, frogs legs etc! Cooked in every way possible and alway busy. The waitresses are very welcoming and always on top of drinks. I love the garlic green beans and the chicken on sticks (lol I don't know what it's called but it's delicious. Like a chicken Kebob without the veggies). I never have the heart to eat the frog legs (I love Kermit too much) but there is also an ice cream station; which is great for kids or spouses who are like additional kids. Great family environment. We love coming here and price wise, it's always affordable. read more

Delicious and very affordable for a buffet. Not to mention they also have hibachi?? Absolutely recommend.

Great Chinese buffet. And price for buffet can't be beat. $9 lunch and $2 drinks. 10% off for military. All the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Very clear they all aim to please. Most buffets are not service oriented. As soon as glass was half empty we had another waiting. Never had stacks of plates at end of table. Now on to food. They have two specalty sections as bonus. Hibachi (looks like you pick your toppings give to chef and he preps on flat grill top.) And sushi bar. With decent selection 8 choices and ok presentation. (Rolls held together but not the firmest. Sticky rice could be part of problem. Overall taste of different rolls 7 of 10 none of them tasted bad. All are good. And had one option that was fried roll 8 of 10. And one roll with avacado 8 of 10. As far as Chinese buffet. Hear are my ratings. Egg drop soup 9 of 10 Pepper chicken (not black pepper) 9 of 10 with rice noodles 8 of 10. Cilantro chicken.(great sauce and they don't skimp on cilantro) 8 of 10. Beef broccoli (plump broccoli and not soggy) 7 of 10. Mongolian beef (perfectly cooked not tough or fatty) 8 of 10. sesame chicken (very sweet like orange chicken and not much sesame seed to justify it) 3 of 10. sweet sour chicken( plump soft and crispy did not pick any dough only nuggets) 7 of 10 cashew chicken (sweet sauce but went so well with chasews. Note: placement should be improved chicken on one's side sauce on opposite side and cashews on end cap.) 7 of 10 chicken stick (terriaki? Very moist and meaty.) 8 of 10. Desert section: Strawberry creme white cake.(moist and delicious but at points did taste like just strawberry syrup) 7 of 10 Enclair (soft and fluffy food not skimp on cream filling) 6 of 10 Coffee cream (only if you like rich coffee taste I know you will like this) 7 of 10 Coconut dessert. (I don't like most as they are dry But this is moist) 7 of 10 read more
