2.75 stars. I cannot recommend this restaurant for dinner. We were here Monday night for dinner but our high expectations turn down hill. The restaurant is well decorated. High ceiling with good welcome courtyard. We did not see gingerbread lobster but that did not turn us down. The blue crab is big but the meat is powdery. What find the best is bull frog leg. The baby clam just below average. Sushi is very weak on selection. I have been many buffet sushi but here not up to the standard. The stone crab meat is shred easily. Dim sum also weak. Soup is just ok. Now come to very basic. The stir fry noodles not meet the requirements bouncy and tasty. Even the string bean with garlic stir fry is not good either. My wife likes the snow crab. I don't know they have the off day today. But I doubt it. The hibachi choice also weak. May be I have too many good buffet.

Very top of the line seafood buffet , lots of fancy dishes , including lobster , lots of many options , staff was very attentive and they did really good on food choices except on dessert area is boring with the choices they have , price could be a little high but they compensate for the deluxe items they served , place is big and comfortable

As far as Buffetts go this one is solid. The seating area is massive. They have 3 sushi chefs. They have multiple hibachi chefs. Cold and hot seafood. 5 soups to choose from clam chowder to miso to egg drop and wonton. Come hungry is all I can say. I was pleasantly surprised by the sushi quality and the chicken and broccoli.

Ok so I finally had a chance to try out the newest addition to the Chinese buffet scene right here in Orlando... and let me just say... I was pleasantly surprised. So after months of seeing this new spot all over social media with all types of mixed reviews... I decided to give it a try for dinner this week. This restaurant is located in the same plaza as the Fashion Square Mall with access to plenty of parking. Upon entering, I was taken back by how huge their waiting patio is... and the inside seating/buffet area was super spacious and very clean! I was fortunate enough to get seated immediately. There was a big variety of fresh seafood, sushi, Chinese, and dim sum options. They even had a build your own hibachi station with chefs available to cook your items right in front of you. I would have to say the standout items for me were definitely the seafood...it was all super fresh and was replenished fairly quickly. Now for the important question... was the buffet worth the price?... so for dinner I paid 34.99 before taxes and tip (lunch prices are a bit cheaper)... I would say that it is worth it...ONLY IF... you indulge in the higher priced item on the buffet line like the seafood, sushi, and steak... If you are primarily there for just Chinese food then I would recommend coming during lunch prices. Shout out to all the servers who were all hustling to tend to their tables, with grabbing refills and clearing plates. You all are rockstars!

Went to Ocean Buffet with my brother and a coworker right when they opened and everything looked really clean and fresh. You can tell they keep the place well maintained. The setup is really nice too, very open and modern, not your typical crowded buffet feel at first. There's a lot of variety here. I honestly wanted to try everything so I just took small portions from different stations. The soups really stood out to me. I tried the wonton, clam chowder, and hot and sour and all of them had really good flavor, not bland at all. Sushi section had a good selection and everything looked fresh. Hot food area had plenty of options and was fully stocked when we got there. I also liked the fruit and dessert area, nice mix so you are not just eating heavy food the whole time. Service was smooth and staff kept things clean and organized. It did start getting pretty crowded about 30 minutes in, so coming early definitely helped. Definitely coming back again, just need to show up with a bigger appetite next time because there is no way to try everything in one visit

Have you ever gone to a restaurant , or in this case, a buffet and craved it so much you couldn't wait to go back? That's exactly what happened with us at Ocean Buffet. After our first visit last week, we were already planning the next one. With Presidents Day giving us the perfect excuse, we brought family and friends along so they could experience it too and it absolutely did not disappoint. This visit was just as delicious as the first. With such a wide variety of options, I headed straight for the sushi bar and paired it with some ribs and wow. Everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The sushi was perfectly prepared, and the ribs were tender and just right. On my next round, I loaded up on fried rice with chicken and vegetables, which was equally satisfying. My kids loved the hibachi station, especially being able to customize their plates with noodles, rice, and their choice of meats. It's always a win when everyone in the family finds something they genuinely enjoy. Needless to say, Ocean Buffet is officially becoming a regular dining spot for us. Great variety, fresh food, and a consistently tasty experience -- we'll definitely be back!

Visited Ocean Buffet on Christmas Day. It was 36.99 including all you can eat lobster tail. I was thoroughly excited about that aspect. It didn't disappoint, I had two good size lobster tail that I enjoyed. I also enjoyed sashimi, salt and pepper crab, ginger lobster, a salty egg bun. Just to name a few. I do feel I got my moneys worth too. My husband does not like seafood and fish and enjoyed the hibachi and other non seafood options including different noodles. Drinks are additional. Service is nice and the ambiance is nice and new and spacious.

I came for lunch today and plan to return for dinner one day to see the difference. At $17, lunch was very good. Many love their sushi. I like the soups, Hibachi, and the stir frying stations. The sushi portions are a bit smaller, to me. I tried the sashimi in small cups, but it tasted a little sour. I took a star for that. Great services. They sang birthday song aside your table while the music plays the song. That's nice. Boys, I missed the Crazy Buffet which I ran back in 2000s.

I enjoyed the buffet as a late lunch and also to preview the difference in the dinner selections. The food at Ocean Buffet for the most part is similar to other Asian buffets. I went on a week day in December near 3 pm, a couple weeks after they opened. My main goal was to try the sushi but I was intrigued by their dim sum station. First of all the restaurant has beautiful decor which is sleek and modern. The buffets are spread out so the self service area is not crowded. They have very clean and neat restrooms. They don't have seasoning on the table and your server provides items like chopsticks, napkins, seafood crackers etc. I thought the sushi looked awesome and took one piece of every roll. I felt like a kid in a candy store. However back at the table I was disappointed. It seemed that they make 4 or 5 kinds of the same roll and they look different because they might add roe or avocado on top or change out the sauce. The sashimi was ok. I did enjoy the seaweed salad. The soup bar is very appealing as they have 5 or six kettles lined up against a wall. The soup I got was egg drop and they had green onions and other toppings right there. The dim sum area was mostly empty. They had chicken feet which I skipped and a small dumpling with little flavor. Later on as dinner was being laid out they had a brown bread bun with egg on the inside. A gold streak painted on top. This was a new to me so I was happy to try it. They had a seafood counter with shrimp and shell fish. I noticed a chef putting out crab legs and they were big. I was kind of waiting and he indicated that I could take some. Right after I took some, a supervisor came over and placed a red sign that said dinner only. Oops! They were chilled and fresh and I had to ask the server for crackers to open the shell. The hot bar had lots of choices the lunch has these little salt and pepper hot crabs. Items I really liked were the traditional stir fried green beans and other veggies. They have sausage and other meats which are hot and steak is served for dinner. It was not cut on the bias and was chewy. I did not try the hibachi option where you choose your ingredients and a chef stir-fries it for you. The desserts were good and they have individual ice cream cups and tiny mouse and cake bites. I also enjoyed the fruit. Recap: -Prices are good. Seniors get a 10 pct discount. You are presented with a bill at the end of your meal. -Many different buffet choices. Like most places dinner brings more sashimi choices, crab legs, meat and it seemed like the dim sum was better replenished. -Quality for the most part was good and the staff was actively refilling/refreshing selections. -Service was readily available and used plates were quickly removed. I think I prefer the all you can order type Asian restaurants but this kind of restaurant is great for trying many small samples of a lot of foods. Overall I enjoyed my meal.

I came here twice in 5 days LOL. It was so good, some actually just ok, but the price you pay & the amount of food they serve is worth it. Highly recommend!!!

I've been hearing a lot about Oceans Buffet lately (specifically the large amount of food offerings), so when my husband and I were in Orlando the other night, we decided to give them a try. We arrived about 2 hours before closing on a Sunday night and they were still packed. We scanned the QR code at the hostess stand in order to join the waitlist and waited outside in their huge front patio/waiting area for about 45 minutes before we were texted that our table was ready. Apparently, they also texted about 4 other parties that their table was ready as well, so there was a bit of confusion as to who was texted first/truly next in line but it was shortly resolved. The restaurant is large, spacious and clean with modern decor using light wood tones and the color orange. Booth and table seating is available and my husband and I were seated at a table. The wait staff was attentive and took away dirty dishes quickly. There were a lot of people, so navigating the buffet was a bit challenging at times but not a big deal. There truly is a lot of food offerings in theory but there were at least 10 empty dishes the first time we went through the buffet line. However, throughout the evening, dishes were continually refilled and new offerings joined the buffet, but there were still a handful of empty dishes at any given moment. Later in the night, we saw brisket and chicken teriyaki skewers join the buffet. The chicken skewers were my favorite of the chicken dishes and my husband really liked the brisket, but it was gone very quickly from the buffet. We both thought the sweet and sour chicken was overcooked and tough and I couldn't finish the piece of ham that I got as it had no flavoring and the texture was too chewy. At one point in the event, lobster (in the form of a seafood boil) made an appearance but the three men in front of me piled their plates high with the lobster as soon as it arrived on the buffet, leaving nothing but empty shells for the rest of us. I wanted to look for vegetable sushi on the sushi table but very few sushi rolls were labeled, so I passed. Most of the food that we tried was average in taste when compared to other Asian buffets and my husband thought that the $31.99 per adult was overpriced. We were glad that we checked out Oceans Buffet to see what the "hype" was about but we won't be making any future plans to return as

Flavor: all you can eat! average / slightly above average buffet- best when opening and fresh. Def worth the lunch price. Lots of options from Sushi to Asian and American entrees. Good overall, especially for price and options. No doubt you can find a few dishes to make it a tasty meal! Service: friendly and attentive. Other notes: new, clean, big. Location & Parking: large free parking lot. Price: ~$20 lunch / ~$32 (see pricing screenshot) good price for seafood AYCE Is it what's up? Buffet of the sea for me

Nice to see the Fashion Square mall get a new tenant! I was excited to see a new restaurant pop up! They've been opened for about a week now, and I've heard good things. They've were packed when we arrived at 7p on a Wednesday, which is a good sign. We waited about 10 minutes to be sat. We got our drinks, then it was off to the buffet line. They had a huge array of Asian foods! I started with the sushi, which was extremely fresh and delicious! Surprisingly good quality for a buffet! Course two was Dim Sum with Xiao Long Bao and Shu Mi. Both excellent! There was this black bun that didn't taste good. It oozed what taste and smelt like bad egg yolk. I recommend avoiding it. The crab legs were picked over, with small legs being the only thing left. The hot table had the usual Chinese buffet offering. The Pineapple Sticky Rice was fantastic though! They also had Hibachi, but there was a decent wait for it. The desserts were hit and miss though. The coffee pastry was the best one. The restaurant had a good amount of seating and was well spaced out. It's worth trying once, but the value for the price really isn't there. Also highly annoying waiting for the one set of tongs with a line of people for any given dish. Poor layout for cross contamination too.

While we were looking, the lady came out from the back with food items for someone who was already seated. Everything looked good. There was a guy waiting for his order to go, another guy waiting to eat by himself, and another lady also waiting to eat by herself. There was some interview going on between two guys- sounded like it was about the restaurant as I heard them talking about kimchi fried rice. It sounded so good, I ordered that with shrimp.
