I went back to Sushiyama and our service was incredible. I feel like if you are in a big group it's a bit slower like I experienced last time. This time it was just a table for 2 and everything we ordered just kept coming out. I really enjoyed the spicy kani and mango roll. I wish the cheesecake was bigger or ordered 2 because it was a perfect after sushi treat! I'll be revisiting again.

Sushi Yama is definitely a solid option if you are craving sushi on this side of town. The service is friendly and professional, the ambiance is pleasant and the sushi is definitely enjoyable. Orlando does not have a lot of all you can eats sushi places, so this place is definitely a welcome addition to the Orlando culinary scene. I came here with a client and overall, we both enjoyed the complete experience. If you are in the area, give them a try. I am confident that you will find it a great experience.

Sushi Yama features delicious sushi rolls and hibachi entrees that are delicately prepared and beautifully presented. I had the Yellowtail Roll and the Hibachi Steak entree. The entree comes with a soup, salad and rice. I sub the fried rice and had brown rice. When we got there around 1pm on Sunday it wasn't too busy yet. By the time we left, the dining area was much fuller as people continued to come in as we were walking out the door.

Great all you can eat sushi! Excellent fish quality, standard sized nigiri (rice to fish ratio) and excellent assortment of fish, and extensive menu of cooked and prepared Japanese dishes. I highly recommend their unagi, hamachi, maguro and wide range of sushi rolls.

Met up with an old friend who swore by Sushi Yama in Orlando, and you know how that goes. When someone says, "Trust me," you either get life-changing sushi or a polite smile and a backup dinner plan. Happy to report, no backup plan needed. First off, the sushi is fresh. Not "sat under a light contemplating its life choices" fresh. Actually fresh. The fish tasted clean, bright, and exactly what you want when you're voluntarily eating something raw. Service? Lightning fast. I'm pretty sure our rolls were halfway to the table before we finished ordering. No long dramatic pauses. No wondering if the chef went on break mid-tuna slice. Just efficient, friendly, and on it. Now, is this the kind of place where a sushi master whispers to the fish before slicing it with a sword forged in 1620? No. It's not gourmet temple-of-sushi vibes. But it doesn't need to be. It's very good, solid, dependable sushi with a great variety and a relaxed, easy feel. It's the kind of place where you leave happy, full, and not checking your bank account with one eye closed. Pleasant is the word. And pleasant is underrated. Not outstanding. Not transcendent. But absolutely enjoyable. Four stars. I'd go back, I'd bring friends, and I'd confidently let someone else say, "Trust me."

We were visiting and decided to treat ourselves to some good AYCE sushi after spending the entire day at Universal Studios. We got there at around 5:30p hoping to beat the rush but surprised there was already a waitlist. It took us about 30 min or so to get seated. We were immediately served water and our server gave us plenty of time to decide our first round. I wish I got the name of our server since he provided above and beyond service. I was really surprised how he remembered our orders despite handling so many tables at once and knew which orders were missing just by looking at our spread. Food-wise, fish to rice ratio was well balanced. I also felt even the specialty rolls flavors went really well. Rolls were not drenched in sauce which is how I like them. Service was pretty decent although there is a little bit of a wait in between your rounds so I'd recommend getting your orders planned out beforehand. The servers make sure all your orders come out before serving any ordered dessert. If we're ever in the area again, we would definitely be back!!

Visiting here for spring break what a pleasant surprise , we were seated within 10 mins got our orders in and the sashimi order came in before the. Kitchen orders ! Staff was quickly and fairly attentive given the after amusement park crowds . The sushi was super fresh and well cut . Would def come back net time I'm in towns.

The All You Can Eat is great, service is excellent, with many cooked / sushi options. Gyoza is good, everything was good. Keep in mind the only options of sushi are Tuna, Salmon, Shrimp & Crab. Many tasty varieties are available, and recommend getting some of the chef options.

Orlando has many all you can eat places, more than miami and broward I feel. We decided to try here as we've been hearing a lot about them. For dinner it was 35.99 all you can eat, we got there about 7 and had about an hour wait, wasnt to bad as there was tj max and Burlington in the plaza so we walked around while waiting and then got a text and call when it was ready. There is a waitlist you can add your name on the tablet and can monitor where you are in line... the place gets super packed and by time we got seated they weren't taking any more people in. Our waiter, even though she was super super busy, she remained calm and helpful to us. And everyone was there to help each other out. I love the team work. The food, can take a little time so I suggest ordering a few at a time and then they usually bring out stuf 1-2 things at a time. Honestly everything was delicious, from the shrimp tempura (comes with 2), shrimp noodles, hibachi steak, sashimi scallops and yellow tail and then we got 3 sushi rolls. Oh and at the end you get tempura fried cheesecake and an order of ice cream. Both the tempura cheese cake and vanilla ice cream went so well together, it made it the perfect ending to the end. They did not add gratuity to the check so make sure to spread the love

5 stars FOR an all you can eat - as in, would definitely come back! TL;DR: good sushi/sashimi; rolls were just okay; kitchen food was hit or miss Came here at an off time and was able to get a seat and fairly quick service. This is an all-you-can-eat place, so it's expected not to get regular sushi restaurant quality, but this place was pretty good! RECOMMEND: ~Sushi/Sashimi - Our faves were: ~~Scallop ~~Eel ~~Mackerel ~~Hamachi ~~Salmon ~~Ama Ebi ~~Tamago ~~Masago ~Salmon Run Roll (probably the only roll we truly enjoyed) ~Hibachi Steak (surprisingly very good and soft) ~Green mussels (baked with spicy mayo on top) ~Salmon Tartare (more like a salad with mango, onions, and soy dressing) AVERAGE/STANDARD: ~Takoyaki ~Dumplings ~Yellowtail Jalapeno ~Samurai roll ~Tuna sushi/sashimi ~White tuna sushi/sashimi ~Ice Cream DO NOT RECOMMEND: ~Miso Soup ~Clam Soup ~Spicy Salmon Handroll (filling was mushy/pasty) ~Ika sushi/sashimi (a little too slimy) ~Cow Boy Roll (steak was rare/too hard to chew) Overall, the menu is quite large so will be able to find something for everyone. Highly recommend for the sushi/sashimi!

Amazing ayce sushi place!! The rolls are made to order and not from a buffet. They are large and the ingredients are so fresh! I wish someone would've told me about this place sooner, I've been searching for the perfect ayce place!! The orders came out quickly and our server came around often to see if we wanted to order more. This place is a hidden gem on I drive, must visit!

Typically when you go to a sushi buffet, they sacrifice quality for quantity, but Sushi Yama is the exception! The interior is really nice with wooden decor everywhere and very clean. The hosts and servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. Whenever I am craving a lot of sushi, Sushi Yama is definitely my go to spot. The fish is very fresh and presentation is great if you order a lot, as you can see from the pics we got a boat for both of our orders! I typically get the sashimi, but they also have a great selection of rolls and even hibachi as well! Definitely recommend checking them out if you are near the Disney/Universal area

Sushi Yama is my favorite AYCE sushi spot in Orlando. The sushi there is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented with plenty of variety to choose from. The hibachi options and other Japanese side dishes were equally tasty and well prepared. The staff made the experience enjoyable with friendly and attentive service from start to finish. They were helpful with menu questions and our food arrived at a good pace. The restaurant felt clean and welcoming with a relaxed atmosphere that made it a great choice for lunch or dinner. I always end up back here when I am craving sushi.

Is the AYCE only for sushi or can we also order fried rice or chicken hibachi?

They also have fried rice, or noodles! If you see in my review I ordered the noodles and u pick the protein 😀 all included..small portions but u can order more if needed. The noodles were very delicious

What do they charge per person at dinner?

They charge $34.99 which includes all you can eat sushi rolls, sashimi, specialty rolls, hibachi, tempuras, soups salad and more. Beverages are not included in the price it is separate and about $4.

What time does their lunch AYCE end? Edit: I found the answer, it is open to 3:30pm for anyone…

I never went there for lunch. They have lunch specials, but that's from 11 to 3 and it's not all you can eat.

    Do they take reservations?

No. Its first come first serve

Now for the food! We had gotten the beef skewer and chicken skewers as appetizers and let me tell you they were probably the best meat skewers that I've had in a Izakaya style Japanese restaurant. The steak was so tender and had great flavor, same with the chicken! The sauce was good, maybe a bit too heavy on the sauce but good pairing! 5/5 The tuna flight was . So good and the cuts of tuna was so tender and was amazing, good garnishes on top! 5/5 The rolls, we got a couple Yellow Fever: it was good, I'm not sure if I was a fan of the asparagus but it was good to have every now and then every other bite or so but not every time. It did have a slight kick to it but I liked it. Distinguished Gentleman: was great. The meat was tender and it had good flavor and my kids enjoyed it as a more kid friendly sushi, but I also enjoyed one bite that I was able to sneak before the kids devoured it. Shrimp Tempura roll (specially made for allergies): Standard goodness! I also almost forgot, I had gotten King Salmon nigiri and also eel nigiri, salmon was good! Normal salmon vibes 4/5 but the eel...probably the most disappointing menu item tbh. Tasted like the frozen Asian grocery store eel, just underwhelming and not a little tough. 2/5 wouldn't order again. but Overall, it was everything was great, we had good service and good food! It's a bit expensive but I Would come back!

Sushi Tomi is one of the original secret Asian American staples of Orlando that opened in 2013 back when Orlando was known as Mickey Mouse's backyard. It's decently priced, albeit far, and provides a nice sense of comfort. We went on a week night and they were still super busy. Located closer to East Colonial area, it's at 8463 S John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32819. Their claim to fame are their bento boxes and different lunch and dinner sets, which is to say you will leave full with a balanced meal. I won't lie, I have been wanting to go for the longest time. I felt like some kid pressing his face up against a window, just watching everyone go and enjoy their meal. So this was really great for me, personally. I got their dinner tempura and sushi set. The set came with miso soup and salad as well as a variety of meats and veggies that had been tempura coated and fried with a side of rice. I also ordered a sparkling jelly sake drink, a tamago nigiri and eel nigiri. My overall portion costed about $45 without tip. The set gets a 8.5/10 rating from me. I kinda wish I just went with the tempura set instead of trying to have the best of both worlds. Not that the sushi was bad or anything, but the tempura was really the star of the show. It was so fresh and crispy and light and amazing with the sauce they served it with. The sushi was fine and well made, I just had heart eyes for the tempura. The tamale nigiri and the eel nigiri was good, but not the best I have ever had. They had other things on their menu, but I really recommend going here for Japanese basic meals or comfort meals. I think it's not dazzling, but provides you with a sense of comfort. Not to mention the service was amazing, and it truly was authentic and not gentrified. My overall rating is 9/10 for the whole experience. I will be back whenever I am in the area.

I use miso soup as a test for how good a place is and theirs was exactly how I like it, small cubes of fresh tofu, reasonably sized wakame, and not too much of any one ingredient. The miso was a milder white but nicely salty and flavorful. You could tell they didn't just phone it in and open an instant packet. I had their curry rice with a pork katsu and it was one of the best I've had in the area. The curry tasted homemade and leaned a bit towards the sweeter side but with a tiny hint of spice. It came with pickles which were just the thing to cut the richness. I also got their spicy garlic edamame which is my second favorite (Sushi Katana by the Milennia Mall has the best IMO). The onigiri was nothing special but great rice consistency and filled with bonito flakes and soy or umeboshi. There are a lot of dishes you don't find on most menus here like salted grilled mackerel fillet and croquettes. Funny enough there's very little sushi for a place with sushi in the name but I was ok with that because their kitchen food is what to come for. I also love that it has the vibe of a small Japanese restaurant with the option to sit at the counter and give you that "salaryman on a quick lunch" vibe.

However, it is quite fun, when we got there on a Saturday night, they were having a Taylor Swift look alike performance. I absolutely loved it. It turned out it was happening every hour so we were able to watch her perform twice. They also had someone selling jewelry and an artist painting, overall it is such a fun vibe. If you want a standard table, you need to make a reservation, I made a reservation like 15 minutes before and they only had outdoor seating and high tops available. We chose a high top and it was fine. They do have a kids menu so my son was able to order a cheese pizza with a side of fries and the other one ordered a chicken quesadilla with a side of fruit. On the kids menu it says cheese quesadilla but he really wanted chicken, I was surprised the chicken was a bit spicy. He ate a couple bites and then asked for his own cheese pizza after seeing his brothers. All the plates are meant to be shared so they come out whenever they're ready. My older son's cheese pizza came out immediately and then my younger son's chicken quesadilla came out after all our food had been delivered. I think this is what made him want a cheese pizza because he didn't have his own meal for majority of the time we were eating. When we finally ordered his cheese pizza it then took a long time to come out. I'm guessing it's because it's woodfired and his pizza was behind a ton of other pizzas whereas with my older son we must've ordered at a good time. My absolute favorite dish was the marinated cucumbers. It was a light and delicious. It reminds me of what I find at a Japanese restaurant. I also got the butter chicken, it was OK. I didn't find the chicken super tender so I would skip it next time. We also got the maple glazed chicken wings. I found the breading to be overly salty. I ended up taking off all of the breading and my younger son ate a ton of the chicken. I would skip it next time. We got the steak skewers, which were pretty delicious. Again didn't love it so probably would get something else next time. My husband did not like his ribs so he definitely should skip that next time. So overall, the food was OK, but my kids absolutely destroyed their pizza and I love the atmosphere, which is why I'm giving this place four stars. I see that it has great potential. If parking is a problem, I recommend parking at icon park and walking because it's about five minutes away. Our server was super nice, she was a bit slow, but she also had a giant table next to us, which could've contributed to that. I would definitely come back. I enjoyed our experience here.

I actually liked sitting there as it was like dinner and a show and the chefs and expediter didn't mind answering questions (like, oooh, what is that?). It's actually a pretty large menu for a ramen place so after we washed our hands with the warm towels provided, I needed to ask the server for suggestions. She asked what I liked and didn't like and then suggested the Tokyo, which is a garlic based chicken ramen. My husband ordered the Domu Wings and the Baby Bok Choy. Our meals were delicious and our server mentioned that the ice cream flavor of the week was Cinnamon Toast Crunch - yum! I decided to save the rest of my ramen for later so I could get the ice cream. I really liked how the server packed up the noodles separately from the broth so it would be easier to heat up later. The ice cream was much larger than I expected and had a sweet cinnamony flavor. The second time we went, I ordered the Thai iced tea - large - that I hadn't seen the first time since it is listed with the Sweets and Desserts instead of with the drinks. It's served in acute Fox glass mug. This time I decided to try the Yuzu Shoyu Chicken ramen. It was a lot lighter in flavor than the Tokyo and had a lemony flavor versus the umami that the Tokyo had. I'd probably say I preferred the Tokyo. The ice cream flavor this time was matcha, which isn't a favorite of mine, so I didn't order dessert. I wish Domu had some classic sweets always available instead of only the weekly flavor.
