Ordered from here on Thanksgiving as my girlfriend & I were on vacation & craving sushi for dinner. When I called, the owner said he was closing up shortly early for Thanksgiving, but said he'd happily make our orders before closing, so he stayed open for us. He even offered me a free Coke on my way out & wished me a Happy Thanksgiving. Needless to say, the best customer service I have ever had. On top of all of that, the food was sensational, we especially enjoyed the Kamikaze roll. There's a part of me that wishes I lived in Orlando so I could give Sushiology more of my business. If you're ever in the area & want great food from a great establishment, this is the spot for you!

This place never fails! With Kuya Bob running the show and serving great food, you'll get way more than what you paid for.

Such a great little spot on idrive. I've been coming here for over ten years and it's stayed consistently good. It is small inside with probably about eight seats. However if you're in the area and you're looking for some sushi it's definitely a great stop. I've gotten their gigabyte a couple of times to split with a few friends. If you're looking for something new to try I would recommend trying their Takoyaki. They are a little hot when you first get them but it's certainly unique. All of the rolls are reasonably priced and the fish seems fresh. The service was fast and friendly. There were only two employees there the night I went One was taking orders and taking care of the restaurant the other one was rolling the sushi rolls and taking care of the food. It took about 15 minutes from ordering to get everything and my husband and I were both full and happy at the end.

Family food Adventure!!! Sushi Style!!! Everyone got different types of Japanese cuisine at this cozy establishment. I'll give you the highlights and could have been better's!!! The boy had seaweed salad and baby octopus - He loved them both, then had room for some sushi and got the tuna roll he also enjoyed it said it was Super Fresh tasting. The lil one had miso soup, white rice and an avocado roll w/cream cheese added - she enjoyed them all The eldest has the chicken teriyaki bowl and enjoyed it!!! The wifey had two types of Sushi: the California roll and the volcano roll - She lived them both and said she would get the Volcano roll every-time, it was that good!!! I got the Shrimp and crab tempura with rice - the tempura was a bit soggy as well as the crab. I don't think the oil was hot enough when it was cooked. At least my years of kitchen experience tells me that was most likely the challenge as it was good just not up to the normal tempura crunch I'm use to. We would definitely go again when in the area!!! Try it for yourself!!!

Sushiology is really good, after we order the food came out really fast. It's a little small. I wouldn't come here with a very large group. Perfect for a quick date or lunch.

Sushiology is simply a simple, down 2 Earth, homey, kind of place to eat some good "Mom" made types of food. The I-Drive location have been our "Go-To" for the past 20+ years, till we found this newly opened location, which is newer, spacious, cleaner than the other location. However, the tastes of the foods are still EXACTLY identical to the other place that we have always enjoyed. My favorite appetizer from here have always been their "Tofu Steak", which is a thick chunk of medium firmness tofu, coated in light corn starch, deep fried, then lathered in the sweetened soy sauce, YES!! Then of course, the usual Edamame, Sunomono (Seafood Salad), and tempura appetizers are also our usuals. Then onto the Sushi & Sashimi Combos can never go wrong, with an addition of a "Don" rice bowl dishes of the variety options to choose from are also a nice compliment to go with the sushi & sashimi selections. The staffs are nice, friendly, and efficient. The ambiance is quite spacious in comparison to the I-Drive location. And the pricings? Quite reasonable comparing to many other (Fake Japanese / Chinese owned) places. Glad we found this location, as we will be back many times to come!!

Highly recommend fast and delicious authentic Japanese restaurant! This is our family favorite restaurant . The food is always amazing and fast delivery to table . The price is reasonable , and the owner is super friendly . You can order many different kind of sushi roll or rice bowl . We love all of them, you can try each type on your visit to see which one are your favorite ones. You will love this place!

The place is not big, but the food is pretty good. I like the Eel California, the Una Don, and the Chicken Teriyaki Don. The sashimi and nigiri are also pretty fresh.

The Pacifica sushi platter... I am officially spoiled and cannot possibly order anything BUT this. Delicious.

This has been my go-to sushi place for many years- years before I ever moved to Orlando. I've been here COUNTLESS times, and they've NEVER gotten my order incorrect... which tells you a lot about how they run their business. The sushi is both incredible and affordable. I've ordered nearly every item on this menu- everything is excellent. My go-to items are the Sunomono, Green Salad, Sake Don, Una Don, Hurricane rolls... All are delicious. More recently, I went a little crazy on a "Treat yo'self" day... and I ordered the Pacifica sushi platter. Holy. S***. What an amazing display of sushi... ughhh. I am now too spoiled to ever order anything less than this platter! Sushiology has fulfilled my sushi dreams. I wish I could afford to have this everyday. The sushi is made so quickly. The location is small and not meant to seat many- there are only several tables... So I usually get my sushi to-go. My literal only complaint is that they tend to be closed on Mondays... and that's when I want sushi the most (since I'm less likely to want to cook on Mondays). They also cancel my Uber Eats orders when they're probably overwhelmed with orders. Love this place.

Dim lights and couches making it feel casual but yet upscale at the same time. The host and the wait staff was super attentive and great to have, no issues or problems with them. They were very kind and accommodating and super helpful in terms of trying to figure out all allergies and what my child could or cannot eat, but also make adjustments so that she has options. Now for the food! We had gotten the beef skewer and chicken skewers as appetizers and let me tell you they were probably the best meat skewers that I've had in a Izakaya style Japanese restaurant. The steak was so tender and had great flavor, same with the chicken! The sauce was good, maybe a bit too heavy on the sauce but good pairing! 5/5 The tuna flight was . So good and the cuts of tuna was so tender and was amazing, good garnishes on top! 5/5 The rolls, we got a couple Yellow Fever: it was good, I'm not sure if I was a fan of the asparagus but it was good to have every now and then every other bite or so but not every time. It did have a slight kick to it but I liked it. Distinguished Gentleman: was great. The meat was tender and it had good flavor and my kids enjoyed it as a more kid friendly sushi, but I also enjoyed one bite that I was able to sneak before the kids devoured it. Shrimp Tempura roll (specially made for allergies): Standard goodness! I also almost forgot, I had gotten King Salmon nigiri and also eel nigiri, salmon was good! Normal salmon vibes 4/5 but the eel...probably the most disappointing menu item tbh. Tasted like the frozen Asian grocery store eel, just underwhelming and not a little tough. 2/5 wouldn't order again. but Overall, it was everything was great, we had good service and good food! It's a bit expensive but I Would come back!

Sushi Tomi is one of the original secret Asian American staples of Orlando that opened in 2013 back when Orlando was known as Mickey Mouse's backyard. It's decently priced, albeit far, and provides a nice sense of comfort. We went on a week night and they were still super busy. Located closer to East Colonial area, it's at 8463 S John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32819. Their claim to fame are their bento boxes and different lunch and dinner sets, which is to say you will leave full with a balanced meal. I won't lie, I have been wanting to go for the longest time. I felt like some kid pressing his face up against a window, just watching everyone go and enjoy their meal. So this was really great for me, personally. I got their dinner tempura and sushi set. The set came with miso soup and salad as well as a variety of meats and veggies that had been tempura coated and fried with a side of rice. I also ordered a sparkling jelly sake drink, a tamago nigiri and eel nigiri. My overall portion costed about $45 without tip. The set gets a 8.5/10 rating from me. I kinda wish I just went with the tempura set instead of trying to have the best of both worlds. Not that the sushi was bad or anything, but the tempura was really the star of the show. It was so fresh and crispy and light and amazing with the sauce they served it with. The sushi was fine and well made, I just had heart eyes for the tempura. The tamale nigiri and the eel nigiri was good, but not the best I have ever had. They had other things on their menu, but I really recommend going here for Japanese basic meals or comfort meals. I think it's not dazzling, but provides you with a sense of comfort. Not to mention the service was amazing, and it truly was authentic and not gentrified. My overall rating is 9/10 for the whole experience. I will be back whenever I am in the area.

Service is quick and the food is fantastic. I use miso soup as a test for how good a place is and theirs was exactly how I like it, small cubes of fresh tofu, reasonably sized wakame, and not too much of any one ingredient. The miso was a milder white but nicely salty and flavorful. You could tell they didn't just phone it in and open an instant packet. I had their curry rice with a pork katsu and it was one of the best I've had in the area. The curry tasted homemade and leaned a bit towards the sweeter side but with a tiny hint of spice. It came with pickles which were just the thing to cut the richness. I also got their spicy garlic edamame which is my second favorite (Sushi Katana by the Milennia Mall has the best IMO). The onigiri was nothing special but great rice consistency and filled with bonito flakes and soy or umeboshi. There are a lot of dishes you don't find on most menus here like salted grilled mackerel fillet and croquettes. Funny enough there's very little sushi for a place with sushi in the name but I was ok with that because their kitchen food is what to come for. I also love that it has the vibe of a small Japanese restaurant with the option to sit at the counter and give you that "salaryman on a quick lunch" vibe.

However, it is quite fun, when we got there on a Saturday night, they were having a Taylor Swift look alike performance. I absolutely loved it. It turned out it was happening every hour so we were able to watch her perform twice. They also had someone selling jewelry and an artist painting, overall it is such a fun vibe. If you want a standard table, you need to make a reservation, I made a reservation like 15 minutes before and they only had outdoor seating and high tops available. We chose a high top and it was fine. They do have a kids menu so my son was able to order a cheese pizza with a side of fries and the other one ordered a chicken quesadilla with a side of fruit. On the kids menu it says cheese quesadilla but he really wanted chicken, I was surprised the chicken was a bit spicy. He ate a couple bites and then asked for his own cheese pizza after seeing his brothers. All the plates are meant to be shared so they come out whenever they're ready. My older son's cheese pizza came out immediately and then my younger son's chicken quesadilla came out after all our food had been delivered. I think this is what made him want a cheese pizza because he didn't have his own meal for majority of the time we were eating. When we finally ordered his cheese pizza it then took a long time to come out. I'm guessing it's because it's woodfired and his pizza was behind a ton of other pizzas whereas with my older son we must've ordered at a good time. My absolute favorite dish was the marinated cucumbers. It was a light and delicious. It reminds me of what I find at a Japanese restaurant. I also got the butter chicken, it was OK. I didn't find the chicken super tender so I would skip it next time. We also got the maple glazed chicken wings. I found the breading to be overly salty. I ended up taking off all of the breading and my younger son ate a ton of the chicken. I would skip it next time. We got the steak skewers, which were pretty delicious. Again didn't love it so probably would get something else next time. My husband did not like his ribs so he definitely should skip that next time. So overall, the food was OK, but my kids absolutely destroyed their pizza and I love the atmosphere, which is why I'm giving this place four stars. I see that it has great potential. If parking is a problem, I recommend parking at icon park and walking because it's about five minutes away. Our server was super nice, she was a bit slow, but she also had a giant table next to us, which could've contributed to that. I would definitely come back. I enjoyed our experience here.

I actually liked sitting there as it was like dinner and a show and the chefs and expediter didn't mind answering questions (like, oooh, what is that?). It's actually a pretty large menu for a ramen place so after we washed our hands with the warm towels provided, I needed to ask the server for suggestions. She asked what I liked and didn't like and then suggested the Tokyo, which is a garlic based chicken ramen. My husband ordered the Domu Wings and the Baby Bok Choy. Our meals were delicious and our server mentioned that the ice cream flavor of the week was Cinnamon Toast Crunch - yum! I decided to save the rest of my ramen for later so I could get the ice cream. I really liked how the server packed up the noodles separately from the broth so it would be easier to heat up later. The ice cream was much larger than I expected and had a sweet cinnamony flavor. The second time we went, I ordered the Thai iced tea - large - that I hadn't seen the first time since it is listed with the Sweets and Desserts instead of with the drinks. It's served in acute Fox glass mug. This time I decided to try the Yuzu Shoyu Chicken ramen. It was a lot lighter in flavor than the Tokyo and had a lemony flavor versus the umami that the Tokyo had. I'd probably say I preferred the Tokyo. The ice cream flavor this time was matcha, which isn't a favorite of mine, so I didn't order dessert. I wish Domu had some classic sweets always available instead of only the weekly flavor.
