Sushi bar
Kadian M.

They have a variety of options in this location, which I really do love. But I wanted lo mein and I wanted pizza so that's why I went to a buffet thinking every buffet has pizza ocean buffet they doesn't. Which is OK because they had a lot of options like the sushi bar, they had hibachi. I didn't really want that but if you want like freshly cooked food, they do have that. I ordered a plum wine that was tasty. I had gotten a whole crab. I did not eat the crab because the meat inside was Beaty like caviar balls and I googled it and Google said that's because the crab was either frozen and thawed and frozen again, so the meat couldn't maintain its consistency. I wasn't taking a chance I didn't wanna get sick. I just wanted a variety of food which is what a buffet gives you. I also had gotten like the lobster claws that had no meat in it, and it was kind of burnt around like the joint areas. And anything that says crab meat in there, you should know that it's gonna be imitation crab meat, so that always bothers me, but I still tried the roasted crab, and that was really good. On top of like their teriyaki chicken with the lo mein the fried rice everything else I did enjoy I even tried a stuffed mushroom. That was different. I didn't hate it and I didn't love it. I also tried the cold crab salad. That was really good. I was surprised . I will go back to this location.

Mother's Day lobster special

The people who hate on Ocean Buffet are just trying to gatekeep! This place is AMAZING. It's clean and filled with lots of great Chinese, American, and seafood options. We went for Mother's Day and they had a lobster special. My mom was over the moon when she got TWO whole lobsters! It was about $45/person and it was so worth it. I also tried other dishes like the prime rib and snow crab legs. Both dishes were so juicy and delicious! It was quite busy since it was Mother's Day so we actually waited for about an hour and went to Dirty Dillard's in the meantime. I will for sure be coming back on another weekend. Of course there probably won't be lobster again, but the other dishes are great too, especially the dessert options! Our waitress kept our table clean and our check was handed to us in a timely manner which was much appreciated. The inside is well designed and perfect for date night or family outings!

I had been seeing this place all over Tik Tok, so curiosity got the best of me and I decided to give it a try! We came for dinner on a Tuesday and it was not busy at all. I was immediately impressed with how new and modern this place looks. The draw-in to this place is the expansive buffet selection. Not only do you have your typical options, but you also have hibachi, soup, desserts and an impressive amount of seafood!! I tried a little bit of everything and enjoyed most of it. I did get some white rice that tasted hard and one other item from the hot bar that was a little cold, but other than that everything else was pretty great. The buffet area also felt very clean and sanitary, which is a must for me. The price depends on what time you go. I believe it's $17.99 for lunch on weekdays and $31.99 for dinner, which starts as early as 3:30. I feel like the seafood is what makes the price tag go up, which I didn't eat much of, so next time I'm going to try and stick to lunch time (not sure if the same items are included.) Depending on how much you like to eat and what you're interested in getting, this could very well be worth it for you!!

I like how clean this place is and how they have a big variety of different choices from hibachi, dim sum, soups, hot bar, sushi, and desserts! It is pricy at $31 a person and the rib was dry and some of the chicken maybe from sitting out too long but other than that I enjoyed everything else I tried! Great buffet to at least try once when in downtown orlando area!

Right now I recently saw videos about this place and decided to give it a try. It's quickly become one of my favorite places to eat lunch. The lunch special is really affordable, especially in today's market and the variety of sushi and dim sum alone make it worth it. Service is friendly. Depending on the area you sit in, they can be quicker to take the plates than others. Inside is clean and quite big with a big variety of foods to try. I even tried their chicken feet and they were surprisingly delicious!

I came in during my lunch time and was pretty impressed. The restaurant, inside and outside, is very cute, clean and spacious. There's many tables and lots of servers. I was greeted and taken to my table and my server was waiting and took my drink order. I went to get some food, and they have so many options. There's the hibachi area where you choose your ingredients and they cook them for you. My time was limited so I did not try it but everything looked good. My first plate was full of seafood and it did not disappoint. I also got this cooked vegetables, sorry forgot the name of them, that were delicious. My second plate, I had more seafood, chicken skewers and sushi. The chicken skewers were good, the sushi was ok. Service was great. Overall I had a great first experience at Ocean Buffet.

I went for my friends birthday yesterday and the place looks like a beautiful Asian cherry blossom or aquarium on the interior and exterior. The price was $32.00 per person which wasn't that bad for dinner . It's a Chinese and Japanese style buffet I love the fresh sushi and salad there. The lobster and crab ran out fast so I didn't have that. I love the salad and hibachi bars too and the dessert was delicious. The chicken was good, but the General Tso's chicken was too sweet for me. The sweet and sour soup was a little too spicy for me, but the waitresses were friendly and accommodating.

2.75 stars. I cannot recommend this restaurant for dinner. We were here Monday night for dinner but our high expectations turn down hill. The restaurant is well decorated. High ceiling with good welcome courtyard. We did not see gingerbread lobster but that did not turn us down. The blue crab is big but the meat is powdery. What find the best is bull frog leg. The baby clam just below average. Sushi is very weak on selection. I have been many buffet sushi but here not up to the standard. The stone crab meat is shred easily. Dim sum also weak. Soup is just ok. Now come to very basic. The stir fry noodles not meet the requirements bouncy and tasty. Even the string bean with garlic stir fry is not good either. My wife likes the snow crab. I don't know they have the off day today. But I doubt it. The hibachi choice also weak. May be I have too many good buffet.

Absolutely love this buffet! Their variety is amazing! Love the lobster claws, sushi, crab legs, shrimp and so much more!

Always fresh and great tasting variety of food at Ocean Buffet. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The dining area is kept clean and seating is comfortable. Great place to also dine with large parties

This is the fourth time I get food to go at Ocean buffet and can only say it is such a great deal! For 14.99 a pound you can fill up your box with sushi, sashimi, seafood and steak. If you do a mix between these 4 and other hot food such as fried chicken it comes down to 12.99 a pound. I was during my first visit and still am happy to see sushi and sashimi with this quality at a buffet. Will keep coming back.

This is a good buffet. Lots of options, especially if you enjoy seafood. Crab legs, chicken, sushi, and hibachi options. The service was good, our waitress was very pushy for us to leave when we were done, which I didn't appreciate. But the food is fresh and good. We came on Friday night at 630. There was no wait. We will definitely be back again.

Ok so I finally had a chance to try out the newest addition to the Chinese buffet scene right here in Orlando... and let me just say... I was pleasantly surprised. So after months of seeing this new spot all over social media with all types of mixed reviews... I decided to give it a try for dinner this week. This restaurant is located in the same plaza as the Fashion Square Mall with access to plenty of parking. Upon entering, I was taken back by how huge their waiting patio is... and the inside seating/buffet area was super spacious and very clean! I was fortunate enough to get seated immediately. There was a big variety of fresh seafood, sushi, Chinese, and dim sum options. They even had a build your own hibachi station with chefs available to cook your items right in front of you. I would have to say the standout items for me were definitely the seafood...it was all super fresh and was replenished fairly quickly. Now for the important question... was the buffet worth the price?... so for dinner I paid 34.99 before taxes and tip (lunch prices are a bit cheaper)... I would say that it is worth it...ONLY IF... you indulge in the higher priced item on the buffet line like the seafood, sushi, and steak... If you are primarily there for just Chinese food then I would recommend coming during lunch prices. Shout out to all the servers who were all hustling to tend to their tables, with grabbing refills and clearing plates. You all are rockstars!

Terrible food here! Limp looking sashimi, Americanized Chinese food. Wasn't my choice to come but had no say.

The place maybe had two other tables but they got a few more as the evening went by. Our server was Adele, she was great. We started with the tuna and shared that across the table- nice wonton crips, a lot of good sized tuna and some stringy carrots that made it a little difficult to scoop. I had a cocktail (Dover shores- some gin with passion fruit, was good) and the ladies had wine. Emily's wine wasn't good; sounded like it was spoiled? She said it tasted like vinegar. So I asked Adele to just swap it out with something else, and she did. The new glass of wine was much better. We all went with the magical dining menu. They had the short rib and I had the noodles w shrimp. All the dishes were good. For the apps we had the she crab soup- too sweet for me, the salad- standard fare, and the pork belly which was the standout item. Good portion and crispy! Desserts were not typical- some version of a key lime pie which came like ice cream in a cone, some version of a cheesecake which they said had a strange texture and not too sweet. Despite the comments, they ate their whole desserts and I took mine home for the hubs, since I didn't care for any of them. I had the parramore cocktail instead- very good. They have revamped the whole menu. I think they will be ok. Parking is $15 for 3 hours of valet. There is a garage across Orange for $16 as long as you want. Dress is business casual or better for dinner.

They have a little sign by the street to help you find it/advertising, as it's in the hallway of the plaza. It's on the ground level so we didn't have to take any stairs or elevator. Upon entry, there was no one to greet us. We headed to the register where they had a bunch of menus and pictures. While we were looking, the lady came out from the back with food items for someone who was already seated. Everything looked good. There was a guy waiting for his order to go, another guy waiting to eat by himself, and another lady also waiting to eat by herself. There was some interview going on between two guys- sounded like it was about the restaurant as I heard them talking about kimchi fried rice. It sounded so good, I ordered that with shrimp. Mom had the bento box lunch. We asked for two cups for water, which she said she would bring to us. We sat for awhile, and saw the others and the to go person get their food. The water cups did not come until after she brought us our food. Maybe that's the way they do it? Anyhow- our food was out in a reasonable time and everything was delicious. I tried some of mom's beef bento box- she got the bulgogi beef and we were both a little shocked that it was ground beef and not thin slices, but the flavor was spot on. My mom did not finish her lunch and I had a small portion of rice left. When I asked for one to go box- the lady almost seemed upset that I didn't want two! She asked me what about my leftovers? To which I said my mom was taking everything in one box. lol. We don't like to waste and I wasn't going to toss mine but it seemed silly to get another box for the little bit of rice I had. So we put it all in one. We paid at the register and took our box. There are many more items on the menu I'd like to try. My mom was pretty impressed with the place. It's nothing to look at, really, but the food is good and she will probably bring her friends here for lunch.
