My father, a friend and I went last night as our friend was leaving town the next day and we wanted to have a special send off. 21 Main did not disappoint. The experience begins as you pull up in the circular drive and are greeted my friendly and helpful valets. You then proceed to walk through the wooden doors to a modern and expensive steakhouse which also features excellent sushi. You were then seated at your reserve table, given menus and introduced to your waiter. The waiter we had last night Adam, I've had before and is excellent. We ordered drinks from the extensive cocktail and wine menu and then begin to peruse the menu. There were no specials this evening, which made ordering less tempting, but a bit easier. our drinks arrived, followed by hot fresh baked sourdough bread, and we begin ordering our appetizers in main course. We settled on the crab cocktail and the shrimp cocktail for appetizers. My father went with a lobster bisque and then we ordered our mains. I went for the 12 ounce prime fillet mignon with an au poivre sauce the side of sautéed mushrooms and cream spinach. My father not eating his hearty as he used to what for a portion of chicken tenders and some mashed potatoes while our friend went for their signature prime, 30 day aged, bone-in 20 ounce ribeye. Then we sat back they enjoyed the atmosphere. The tables were set up airy, yet formal with plenty of room. The middle of the restaurant is a sushi bar area and behind that is the regular bar. Both modern yeah tastefully done. After some small talk, our appetizers came out and my father's lobster bisque soup. The lump crab meat was fresh and flavorful of serve with a nice Housemade cocktail sauce. The same goes for the shrimp cocktail, which were fairly large, serve with a wedge of lemon and two choices of sauces. I went for the traditional cocktail sauce, which was excellent. My father loved his lobster bisque, flavorful creamy and texture correctly. He finished the entire bowl. Our waiter now prepped for the main courses by removing all used plates and utensils from the table. He then brushed the table for crumbs to make sure the canvas was completely clean before the main event. Then the food was presented to the table by the food runners and the waiter , all done in an unobtrusive way. They use a cart to wheel out the food, which is very smart and then, of course it's used for presentation for certain dishes like the bone in rib-eye. Our waiter prepped the steak by removing the bone and slicing up the meat before putting it on the plate for presentation. It is something that is often missed in today's world, but adds a very nice touch. The steaks were excellent, flavorful, juicy, seasoned perfectly and incredibly tender. They were cooked perfectly as ordered. The sides were fantastic. The Yukon gold mashed potatoes were creamy, the sautéed mushrooms were delicate but packed a lot of flavor and the spinach had a perfect amount of cheese and lots of Smokey taste from the bacon. Did I mention everything is made from scratch! After a meal like that, I was stuffed but my father saved room for his favorite part of the meal...dessert. He went with the chocolate sauce covered brownie and homemade ice cream combo. It must have not been a mistake as he ate the entire thing. You could see the chunks of candied pecans, and fresh strawberries on top of the brownie with homemade vanilla bean ice cream next to it. I did not even have a chance to put a spoon in there! We then ordered the check, which was not cheap but worth every penny. It will continue to be one of my "go to's" especially for special occasions.

While the outside is crunchy, the inside is still pinky and juicy. The ribeye has more fat than we want but still it is both soft and crunchy at the same time. The drinks are also good. Sake tini is my favorite. Both dessert are excellent. Tiramisu and brulee are mouthwatering tasty. One thing I hate was that they charged us for the steak sauce.
