My first and last time ever coming here I should have read throughout the yelp reviews before making a decision to allow a new place to thread my eyebrows . I MOST definitely don't not recommend this establishment the lady who did my eyebrows made me feel very uncomfortable and the way she took care of me was very rushed of a process . I pacifically asked for them to not be thin she didn't care to even clean my eyebrows up she hardly threaded them they had no type of arch . She made my corners very thin and my eyebrows haven't been done in 2 months so they were grown out. I don't think she knows what she is doing and should not be working inside of this place . It just was an unbelievable experience. Not familiar with lake forest area I stay in Irvine and tried them out due to my eyebrow place being further out. The lady was very rude and has terrible customer service . Once I paid i handed her my card she intentionally sit it down on the paper instead of handing it back to me I held my hand out and she pointed down to the paper . I then told her next time Someone hands something to you give it back to them the same way . She said a smart remark . I wish I would have gotten her name but I just left due to being very disgusted even more by the experience and terrible customer service but now by the manors of how you treat customers in general. Was very nasty and disgusting I would never recommend this place to anyone ! read more

I've been getting my eyebrows threaded here for years and I usually book and appointment with Soni but I was in a rush and decided to do a walk in. To my surprise the girl working let me know that it was sold and Soni is no longer there. She did an ok job it wasn't as good as Soni usually does. I also got my upper lip threaded and she missed a few hairs. Now that Soni isn't here I'll look for a new threading place. read more

My, my, my! What a hidden gem! I went because of the reviews. I walked in with no wait. The minute I walked in Ekta knew I was there because they had previously messed up my eyebrows elsewhere. I ha d waxed them and had two different shapes so I had to let them grow out longer than normal. She got straight to work and gave me the best shape I have EVER had. It has been 3 days and I can't stop looking at myself. I feel like a 10/10. Even my husband asked me what did I do different. I will DEFINITELY be back! read more

Went for an eyebrow threading done by Tina. I hadn't had them done in a while so they were quite overgrown and I was nervous that they wouldn't turn out well since they had lost their shape. I requested Tina to keep them thick and she did exactly that! I am very happy with the way they turned out and am glad that she kept them my desired thickness. I've been here before and my eyebrows were done perfectly. I went today and Tina did my eyebrows. As i sat in my chair, i told her reshape, clean and not to thin or thick. When I got the mirror to make sure they were good, I noticed a little bit of long hairs and the bottem end of my right brow. I asked if she can take off a little. She went to threading more than I asked leaving my eyebrows really bad. I told her she left it very thin and took off more. She claimed I told her to take off more, when I said take off a little and pointed to the area I wanted. So now i have a semi decent eyebrow and a totally thin over threaded eyebrow. I've never left so upset from an eyebrow salon. read more

I had a great experience with Kim. I came towards the end of closing, I called and spoke to Kim, and she said if I were there in 10 mins, she would attend to me. She was very sweet, kind and took her time with me. I love how she focused on my eyebrows and made them look better. I will be coming here from now on. Mini did a great job on my microbladed brows, asking if I wanted her to follow that outline or something thicker. She checked that I was satisfied with her work multiple times. When I entered the space, she took my temp (another place in Alhambra did not). They wear something around their neck that holds the thread so are able to keep their mask on. The shop is also pretty spacious so I didn't feel claustrophobic from another patron. Very safe, highly recommend! read more

I had been sporting an ungroomed look for quite some time. With my brother's wedding coming up, I decided it was time to say goodbye to my unibrow and mustache. I first went to a threading place in Mission Viejo. No complaints but 2 weeks later when it was time again for a cleanup, I decided to find something a little closer to home. With the help of Yelp, I found Soni's. My fellow yelpers did not steer me wrong. I don't believe it was Soni that worked on me but regardless she did a great job. My eyebrows were a mess before I found this place. I'm talking about uneven in length and thickness, so embarrassing ! First time I went in, this older lady helped me and her hands smelled like she just ate, grossed me out but I went back to try another person. This young girl with glasses (she's my lifesaver) she helped point out the areas where she suggest would help give my eyebrows shape and thickness. It's a work in progress but I've been back to her 3/4 times now and I couldn't be any happier! I wish I knew her name but I can't thank her enough. read more

$8 for eyebrow threading? Soni is certainly the cheapest in town and the best because she doesn't believe in hiring less-than-skilled people who could potentially botch your brows. I was a Pretty devotee until she grew and had to get people to help her (but Pretty is fabulous!). Soni takes her time to explain how to grow your eyebrows for the right shape. I never knew this before. Soni will accommodate you, even if you are running a little late. Be wary, though: it's first come, first serve, no appointments. So excited I found such a perfect brow-sketeer so close at such a great price!! read more

After seeing reviews I really wanted to try this place out since I just recently moved to this area but after seeing my finished eyebrows, I am mortified. They are the thinnest that they have ever been and I'm just so disappointed and sad. I will definitely not be returning ever again. I went to OC Threading for the first time and have to say I think I found my new threading spot! I just moved to OC from the IE and I was nervous to find a new place because it's really hard to find someone you can trust but I have to say this was a great experience! I am very sensitive and Ekta made sure I felt comfortable and made sure I was happy with her service. She checked in with me and made sure I liked it and honestly it was damn near painless which is rare for me! I needed my eyebrows and chin badly done before I celebrated my birthday weekend. I work around the lake Forest/ Irvine area, so I found soni's salon out of convenience and the great reviews. Unfortunately, I was not impressed at all. The technician did not shape and seemed very uncomfortable with the whole threading process. It almost felt like she was plucking my eyebrows instead of threading. It took her quite some time, so I asked if her if she was new to threading. She said she's been doing it for years. Well, with her technique, it felt very amateurish. Plus she didn't know how to cut my curly eyebrow hairs, so she left them long... It's been one week and the chin hairs and eyebrows are already growing back. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks for them to grow back...for $24, I would have expected a bit better or maybe my standards are too high...*shrugs* The technician was nice and the shop was clean, but I won't be going back. read more

Hi This review is a bit overdue. I have been to this place a few times and I always ask for "full face". The first couple times they did a good job but the last 2 times that I was there, I have a very bad experience. First of all she completely has ruined my eyebrows, she made them super thin, everything is gone and 3 weeks has passed and I am still waiting for my brows to grow and go back to normal again which is very frustrating! Second, when I left the salon, I noticed there is still a lot of baby hair on my face that she has missed! Am I not paying for the full face for all the hair to be removed? But what I didn't like the most was the very bad attitude the girl had with me last time. She was very moody and had attitude with me. I asked her how has she been, she ignored me and started talking and laughing with other clients that were sitting there. Very rude and awkward! I think it's important to go to people that are respectful, "consistent" and not moody when you go somewhere for your face. Funny thing is that after all of this disaster and disrespectful attitude, I gave her tips too which she didn't deserve. Best threading place I have been to so far :) The staff is super friendly and the facility is clean, the best part, the wait is super short. I have been going to Mini since 2008 and she is literally the best eyebrow lady I have ever been to. Ever since I have met her, she has done an amazing job on my eyebrows. She listens to her clients and does exactly what they want. She's super pleasant and so so sweet! I wouldn't trust my eyebrows with anyone else but Mini! $13 for brow and upper lip threading I had a great experience at Soni's! I signed in and was seated within 5 minutes. I let the lady know I just needed a cleanup and evening out my brows. I really appreciated the time she took on my brows especially- she paused multiple times to check her work, and advised me at the end how to let them grow out better for next time. I'm not sure if this is common practice, but she would gently tap my skin where/when she wanted me to pull it tight (helps them to get hair easier) instead of verbally saying so, as I was used to. I did have some strays that I needed to clean up at home, but I think this was definitely the cleanest and most even my brows have looked in a while. I highly recommend Soni's! read more

I went there on Monday there was new girl finishing up another client I said no response. She just pointed to the chair for me to sit and hold my eyebrows I told her I need just clean. She did not speak just rudely kept tapping her finger on hand to hold my eyebrows or let go. When she finished I told her there are a few hairs on one of the eyebrow can you remove that her response I can't see those . She works only on Monday I asked her name and told her why are you rude. This was also the first time I've come here and it was so welcoming it felt like I've been coming here for years. After many many years of getting my eyebrows threaded i can say with credibility i have never had my eyebrows so messed up as i did when i got them done here. The technician spent more time at one brow than the other and when she was done it was obvious that one was thinner than the other not to mention one had an arch and the other was rounded off lol! So uneven so messy but she insisted that's how my eyebrows are and if i had more she would've done a better job. Just no. I grew them out for more than a month and I know there was enough to work with. Let's just say if I wanted botched eyebrows I would've done them myself at home FOR FREE. That's 10$ I'll never see again, AVOID AT ALL COSTS NOT WORTH THE RISKS. read more
