I have been coming to this eyebrow threading place for a long time and usually have a good experience. However, today there was a new lady, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. Before she started, I clearly explained that I did not want my eyebrows rounded and that I prefer a defined arch. She finished in less than 4 minutes and did not follow my instructions. She made my eyebrows round, which is exactly what I asked her not to do. I had waited an entire month for my eyebrows to grow so they could have a nice shape, and now the shape is ruined. It was very frustrating because I feel she did not listen to what I wanted. I hope the management improves communication and ensures staff listen carefully to clients. They did my eyebrows and upper lip and afterwards I started getting these crazy razor like bumps. I don't get acne and the pattern tells me it's not some random acne. I don't know whether it was dirty hands or irritation from whatever thread they use, but it hurts and burns. I've never had this happen before at any other place I've gotten threaded. Disappointed. I've been coming to various Zia locations for the last 10 years because I love the quality of the work done by the ladies that work at each location. That said, I am confused about the store hours. Online it says 7:30. But if you walk in at 6:45 they tell you no more walk in's and we close at 7. If you in fact close at 7 and the last walk in you are willing to accept is before 6:45 you should indicate that online and on your website. It's misleading for customers to say you are open until 7:30 when your own staff says you aren't. Needless to say I came at 6:45 and am walking out with nothing being done. I am an extremely patient person, but this is now my third time going and having a problem here. The first time, I was completely ignored for a long time until I decided to ask for service. The second time I had to wait for over an hour and had to let people ahead because of a big confusion they had. Today, I walked in with only one customer being checked out already, waited several minutes ( I was thinking they were setting up), only to get asked to wait for them to go to lunch break. I'm starting to believe that the quality of their service and treatment to their clientele goes based off the person's looks, age, and race. Will no longer be returning. read more

My daughter and I have been coming here for years but lately it is so hard to get in without waiting for 30-60 minutes. Not sure if they need more people at the peak times! I ended up going somewhere else when I walked in and they had 2 woman working and 8 people waiting besides the ones in the chair. If you want half assed service go here! I used to go here for Aisha but she is no longer there. I should of walked away... the owner assigned another girl to me for a wax and threading combo. The girl burned my face and cut me up with the threading. Without Aisha there there is no point. There is another person Noreen who completely embarrassed a girl needing full face threading! She was taunting her and even calling other threaders to complain right in front of the poor Indian girl needing threading. Just don't go there! It's half ass work for a higher than average ticket price. Really wish Aisha was still there. read more

So I just moved to the area and was in need of a new threading spot and I'm thinking I may have found it. I am pretty particular about who touches my brows because I've been messed up a couple times haha I was pleasantly surprised with how well she did and how quickly it was done (the speed at first worried me a bit). The only thing I wished I got was a trim of the top brow line, which I'm used to. As well as a little face massage which my last place did. It was by chance that I came across Zia Threading. I had originally planned to go to my usual place the night before but by the time I got there, they had already closed. The following day I was running errands and needed to go to Mother's Market and Zia was right there, so I decided to just go inside and get my eyebrows done. The place is quite new and very clean. It didn't take long before it was my turn and as luck would have it, it was Zia (the owner) who attended to my brows. She was very quick and there was virtually no pain so after that, I decided to get my upper lip done too. WOW!! Whenever I had my upper lip done I would end up crying because I was in SO much pain. Zia was able to thread my upper lip so quickly and with no pain whatsoever! I was so impressed. I am going to come back here from now on even though they aren't close to me, but I'm willing to make the trip to have Zia take care of my brows. read more

I came here for the first time two days ago and it was great! There were 4 people in the waiting area, but the wait was so quick (maybe 15 minutes or less). A lady named Noreen did my eyebrow threading and they look the best ever! Especially after the COVID break, my eyebrows were out of control and I am so glad that I chose this place to come to. I rarely give five stars but this place pleasantly surprised me. Nice space near the starbucks and in the same shopping plaza as mother's market. It was my first time in the area since I'm from San Diego. It looks like they could use a little remodeling~ as the business space had a makeshift tent/ room for storage/ waxing. It didn't look like that big of a place. But it's prime property, nice mirrors and chairs, beautiful breeze and two lovely ladies that greeted me pleasantly after my long drive. I'm not new to threading~ I'm from Cerritos where we have our own Little Bombay. Ziba boomed from a small mom and pop shop to a pretentious, expensive corporation that has it's own line of makeup. Coming to ZIA~ it was refreshing to see business come back to the core of small, affordable and quality. There were only two ladies so I had a little bit of a wait but it was nothing unbearable. When I was seated, the lady was so kind and asked me if I knew about threading, etc. She asked me before threading ~ which never happens at Ziba in Cerritos/ Costa Mesa/ Long Beach (I'm starting to dislike Ziba~ can you tell?). Anyways.. she asked me what I preferred. She did a great job. I don't have much to thread but she cleaned everything I wanted and didn't pressure me into doing more areas of my face (as they do at Ziba). Quality. Muy bien. 4.5 solid. Price~ a steal! 8 bucks for eyebrows. There's your five. I would definitely drive up from San Diego to come here. I would definitely recommend this place to my fellow threaders (and will). They also have a stamp card!! What a great idea! Wish I caught the lady's name.. but they both seemed like they were doing a fine and detailed job. The kindest people work here. Quick and efficient. My eyebrows always look so amazing and clean. I have even gotten a keratin treatment here that lasted 3 months! Horrible and insulting service, I will never be back again! I came in today to get my eyebrows done with Noreen and I had 2 issues. First, my eyebrows look horrible! Thank God hair grows back! Secondly, after she was done, I gave her my card to pay and Noreen asks what is my ethnicity? I told her I'm Egyptian she scoffed and says that's why you didn't give tip. How insulting! I was so shocked at the rude service! Why would I tip if my eyebrows are bad! Im so very disappointed at the service. You guys lost a customer. Just had a horrible lash experience. I usually Get lashes done every two weeks somewhere else and because I to hear to get my eyebrows threaded and they said they are quick 30 minutes to do a fill I jumped on it. My lashes weren't removed not one. The lashes that were put on me were ardell lashes and once she was done my eyes opened and they felt like they had bricks on them weighing them down. I left and walked to my car and looked in the mirror and noticed my lashes were all glued in differently and had gunks of glue all over them. I immediately went back and asked for them to get removed & she did it I was in tears because the product to remove was literally burning my eyes. Then she told zia to refund me and zia didn't want to and then asked to only refund me half because they used their lashes on me. That right there was what lost my service my lashes were done horribly and incorrectly and now my lashes are all cut cuz she had to cut the glue off my eyes!! I was refunded $22 I paid $57! I left and cried my entire drive home. Never again. Please save yourself the trouble and go to someone who is licensed to do lashes and uses lashes that are well not Sally's lashes. read more

I've been going here for years. They have recently upgraded their chairs to non squeaky and comfier ones. I'm not very picky with who threads me, so far all of the women that have done my eyebrows have done a very good job. Some days you'd get a someone with really light hands and it feels like it's a walk in the park and some days you'd get someone that feels like their yanking your entire face. Nonetheless, they're all very good at what they do. No complaints regarding the actual service. They keep their workplace clean. They give you rosewater post threading. Very reasonable pricing. The only thing that irks me about this place is that they have a sign-in sheet and you'd assume they'd go in order but this happened to me twice already, it would only be 3 people or less waiting so it's very noticeable - a regular that just walks in and asks if it's going to take long and they immediately take her since they "know" her. I was up next so I had to wait. I think one of the workers sensed that I got irritated and proceeded to tell me that the lady had called-in to put her name on the list. Well, jokes on ya'll. I was seated next to that girl and totally heard her apologize to the lady threading her saying that she forgot to call ahead and she was so glad she was able to just take her in right away as she would be running late for work. Well, DON'T WE ALL HAVE TO GO BACK TO WORK TOO? I know for a fact they write down the names of those who called ahead on the sign-in sheet. Twice already, they let someone cut before me. Thank goodness for the really entertaining Bollywood music videos that helped me pass the time while waiting. TIP: Make sure you utilize their stamp card. I think on the 6th visit you get $2 off your service, the 12th it's FREE eyebrows. read more

If you're male, I suggest going to any other threading salon but this one. Several of the women working there will not do your eyebrows because of their religion. Only one woman working there actually works on males so it can take a while to be seen. Super frustrating so I suggest going somewhere else. They're not the only place in town! read more
