If you're male, I suggest going to any other threading salon but this one. Several of the women working there will not do your eyebrows because of their religion. Only one woman working there actually works on males so it can take a while to be seen. Super frustrating so I suggest going somewhere else. They're not the only place in town! read more

I wasnt a fan of this place. They did an ok job with my eyebrows. The lady thinned my eyebrows quite a bit which i wouldnt have minded but my eyebrows were completely different. To top it off i had to hear them laugh about another customer that had just walked out. The lady helping me wasnt involving herself but i was extremely uncomfortable as the other 3 ladies cackled and made fun of the customer. I wont be returning. read more

I just walked out of Zia Threading after popping my head in at 5:51p inquiring if they were still accepting customers. They were in no way obligated to take me as it was minutes before closing. But they did and I couldn't be more appreciative. I do not typically come in before closing but today was the exception. I will be coming back as this was above and beyond and a very please thank experience. read more

I highly recommend this place! Zia was super friendly and did an amazing job on my brows. This location is very clean and following social distancing protocol. read more

I'm a busy mom of 3, I usually get my eyebrows done once a month. Farah has been doing my eyebrows, she's very quick and soft handed. Last night I came and found out Farah has moved to san Clemente location. Zia the owner did my eyebrows. She did an okay job, I really liked she listened to how I wanted my eyebrows. But honestly, my 3 babies are at home and I'm on a time crunch so I don't have time to keep checking and pointing out hairs. I need to be in & out:( I'll be going to the San Clemente location and I'll definitely call before going. read more

This place is good, and has gotten better with time. They always remember me and what I normally get done so that's a plus. Zia takes a personal interest in her customers too. Here are my comments. - As a man, I understand some of the woman wont take me for religious reasons but have the courtesy to let me know the situation instead of just going past me. - They're are decently slow, but they don't short their customers in terms of quality of work. - Not all of them are great, but most are good at what they do. read more

I have been coming here since I was 15 now I am 21! Ever since Zia was next to Starbucks then they moved. Noreen is amazing she always is smiling, friendly, and super fast and does my eyebrows beautifully. My best friend also sees her and feels the same. Every one needs to experience Noreen and what Zia has to offer. They also have a rewards program I love this place read more

Worth the wait. Definitely recommend this place did a great job cleaning up my eyebrows.

*EDIT* Apparently they have moved locations, and are no longer in the laguna mall, which is fine by me! They're now in Laguna Woods near Mother's market, so go get beautified and then pick up a pumpkin bran muffin. :) This threading studio only opened this past June. It's small, clean, and quiet. I did not have to wait and I was in and out in maybe 15 minutes for just an eyebrow clean-up. My threader was super fast, efficient, and did a great job. And the best part? It was just $8. I'd definitely go back. As a beauty blogger and avid beauty enthusiast, I'm very picky about my eyebrows. This place gets 2 thumbs up. read more

I'm giving zia 5 stars due to the best employee & threader I have found in OC. No pompousness just strait up getting the job done & being a perfectionist Shazia is the ABSOLUTE BEST. WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONS & SUNDAYS ARE THE DAYS TO GET HER. read more

It was my third time to have my eyebrows threaded in this salon and I am always pleased on how they turn out. I just disliked the rude lady who worked on my brows today. I understand she wanted to engage in a conversation asking question but for some reason I could not understand her. Until it got to the point she told me "Nevermind, you don't understand" in a condescending tone. Also she complained about my ingrown hairs because I tweezed in between having my eyebrows threaded. It doesn't hurt to say thank you to someone who tipped you 20% despite finding you rude and unaccomodating. And because I do not want to get more upset, I forgot to have my card stamped. I am still reconsidering coming back but probably I will skip a session on two and go to a different eyebrow salon in Lake Forest. read more

They're fast yes but rude to customers. My acne was pointed out and apparently my eyebrows were very bad. Yeah I have acne, doesn't mean you should point out my flaws My eyebrows are bad??? Isn't that why I'm suppose to come??? read more

Just wanted to update that I'm very unhappy with the results. There's definite irritation on my eyebrows. I would HIGHLY recommend trying my go-to place: Brow Mantra. They take special care after they've threaded to ensure there's minimal thread burn. They use hand sanitizer before they begin and ask customers to use it too for extra cleanliness. Brow Mantra also uses cooling lotion afterward for minimal irritation. Zia uses rose water but I don't think that was enough. Sanitation is key. read more

I have been seeing Noreen for almost 5 years. She is the best threader and waxer. She genuinely cares about her clients. All the women there are amazing and I have never had one issue. I would never go anywhere else or trust anyone else with my brows. Highly recommend. Love them all. read more

I took my boyfriend in to get his eyebrows cleaned up and he came out with crooked brows. Initially the woman didn't even do a decent job, I politely asked if she would kindly thin his brows just a bit more (it hadn't looked like she had done anything). No smile, no acknowledgement that she heard me, she just looked back down at my boyfriend and took out more string. *Here comes the reason for my rage and 1 star rating* When she finished, not only was one of my boyfriend's brows SIGNIFICANTLY larger than the other, she also created a crooked arch. As if it wasn't hard enough to drag a man in there to get his brows done, the woman taking care of him leaves his eyebrows completely ASYMMETRICAL. The place was so packed I just took the boyfriend home and used an eyebrow razor to even his brows out as much as I could. There was no way he was going to let me near him with a pair of tweezers when his brows were as puffy as they were from the initial threading. I know, sometimes people mess up... but not when it comes to something like this. I just don't think anything can justify the way my guy's eyebrows turned out. read more

This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded as I usually get them waxed. Zia Threading is a very nice parlor-like place, big and clean. It's awkward when you first walk in because the space is big and the ladies are just standing at the desk looking at you. I heard Meena is really good, but I got a different person. I'd recommend this place because it's quite painless although the lights above your face are really bright. I was offered rose oil/water afterwards, but I declined not knowing if I'd have to pay. It ended up being only $9! Four stars because one of my eyebrows is crooked though not a big deal. Your results depend on the person who threads your eyebrows! read more

Zia's threading is amazing. I am Middle Eastern and have tried every single eyebrow place in Southern Orange County. My eyebrows are thick and grow back quickly. It takes someone with talent for me to go almost three weeks without getting my eyebrows done. None of them compare to Zia's. The first time I went, I was a little nervous, but some kind patrons there suggested I ask for Zia the owner. My search stopped there. Zia is hands down the most talented beautician in Orange County. She is not only takes her time, explains what she is doing, but she personable and makes you feel very comfortable. On a pain scale of 1-10 she is about a 4. I am a big baby and I even let Zia do my entire face with no qualms. My eyebrows look natural and I can easily go three weeks. Warning-you will always be waiting at this place. This is definitely not your five minute eyebrow threading place. I tend to go at odd hours in the middle of the day and there is still a wait. I guess that is a good thing. Some things are definitely worth the wait and this place is. They have comfy chairs and the place is spotless. You can not ask for more. I will never again go to another threading place. read more

I'm new around the area and found this place because it was conveniently next to the place that I get my nails done. When I first walked in, the receptionist looked up at me and then looked down. It wasn't until I went up to her that she actually greeted me. Overall the price is okay for the service you'll get. The only concern and warning that I have for anyone reading this is that I get my eyebrows threaded all of the time (at a different location) and this is the first time that my skin got a reaction to the service that they provided. My skin was red and bumpy for a WEEK (and it still is) and when I asked her if this was okay, the receptionist said "oh yeah it's fine, it's completely normal. It'll go away". They did not put any hand sanitizer before or after threading, and all that they do to "calm" your skin is put rose water in it. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Dear Zia, You saved my face! I'm glad I found your shop in the middle of the senior center...far away from anything young. I didn't want to share your location wiht anyone, because I'm affraid you may get tooo busy and I will have to wait to have my unibrow removed. I'm willing to take a chance and tell the world....YOU AND YOUR STAFF ROCK!!! I won't tell them you are cheaper than anyone around....I would mention the fact that you guys actually understand the concept of threading and arching! (some people can't get the brows right) If anyone doesn't believe me, try Zia and her staff...see for yourself! read more

I decided to try threading for my eyebrows and visited Zia's yesterday around 5:30pm after work. Everyone wrote great reviews and the prices are what really drew me in. As a couple people mentioned, it's right next to Starbucks by Mother's Market and it is a little outdated inside. When I walked in, there were 3 ladies who each had a customer. They were nice but I noticed that all the ladies who were threading kept holding the thread in their mouth - is that normal for the threading procedure?? The one lady who greeted me and asked me to sign in - the whole time she was talking to me, she kept the thread in her mouth. I signed in and watched for a few minutes. I saw that they use that same thread on their client's face. SO that kind of grossed me out and I just left. Maybe I'm overreacting but having someone else's saliva on my face didn't really appeal to me - I think I'll stick to waxing for now. read more

I've been to quite a few places to get threaded and I must say this is definitely the best one, and my new go-to spot for hair removal. The staff is very welcoming and more importantly, thorough. They really take the time to make sure that the outcome is perfect and clean. No stray hairs, nothing. By the way! They also have a stamp card - so if you have ten threading sessions then you get one for free! read more

This place is amazing! Aisha and Noreen are absolutely wonderful. By far the best threading place I've ever been to! Love the decor too. Every woman is highly trained and performs eyebrow miracles! Seriously, bring all your friends, guys and gals, and check this place out! read more

Great service! Beautiful eyebrows & I'm picky .... I only come here!

I have been going to Zia's for four years and I just love the place . I once went to another place and had regrets for being disloyal. The technique they use is totally pain free. I have been getting my face threaded for 14 years and have gone to places around the world. And have found Zia best and painless among all. I love their welcoming and comfortable environment. All of them are great, but I would highly recommend Noreen, Zia and Manjeet. read more

I'm so over this place. I used to live close by and came here at least once a month but since I moved further away, I only stop by on occasion. This past visit will be my last. I agree with other reviewers that their quality has gone down hill. They were only friendly to customers that they recognize and to everyone else they were short and abrupt. I asked the person threading my brows what she recommended as far as the shape for my brows but she kept accusing me of waxing my brows. She kept insisting that I did and that they shape of my brows was bad. She didn't understand that I was trying to grow my brows and needed help with shaping. My brows ended being way too thin. Supposedly that was the only shape she could do for me. I had been growing my brows out since last year when I was pregnant and my son is 8 months old now so don't accuse me of waxing when I tell you I haven't and then take off over half the brows that I've been growing in all this time! By the way, don't offer to thread anyone's upper lip if they don't ask you to. read more

I went to this place because it was close to my work and had good reviews from yelpers. I was very pleased. Everyone was very nice and they did a really good job! Barely any wait, plenty of parking so my entire visit was only about ten minutes, quick and easy! I had Negar who is young but skilled. The also offer stamp cards to receive some complimentary sessions. Try this place out! Very reasonable prices. read more

I wasn't so sure how to feel about this place at first because my first experience was terrible. My eyebrows were still thicker than I wanted and looked a little uneven but I figured maybe I got a bad threader and should give it one more shot. Another thing is, I realized I have to be more vocal about what I want. I'm glad I stuck it out here and gave it more chances because my next few sessions there have become much more successful. My eyebrows are looking the best they have since I can remember. I actually tell them how much thinner I need the eyebrows and if I'm unhappy with the finished product, I notice they will make a real effort to work hard at improving the look which I greatly appreciate. Also, they all have been pain-free. They are so gentle here compared to other places! I haven't had Zia yet but one of these days I'm sure I'll catch her and see her amazing work. Nothing compares still to my favorite threader of all time, Indira, at WOW Beauty Center up in Los Angeles but since I live here in Orange County now I realize I'm going to have to make this work best I can. Worth a try if you're curious about threading. read more

came all the way from south coast to get my eyebrows threaded. I walk in at 7:48 and ask to get my eyebrows done @ 7:48 let me remind you!! Two ladies were just standing there and said they will not take me! Horrible service just lost a huge customer!! Will never come back read more

Recently moved back to the area and consider myself very picky about who I let do my eyebrows. I decided to try this place out based on their positive Yelp reviews and can confirm that they are all true! I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for close to 10 years now and was the best threading I have ever gotten, Zia did a great job. Not too thin and she followed the natural shape of my eyebrows. No cuts and minimal pain from the threading. Came in around 4:30pm and there was no wait. Great service and will be back soon :) read more

They're hit or miss. One stylist can do an amazing job one week and then next week I'll get a different stylist and it'll be a disaster. Last time I came here I was expecting amazing service, being it was my last time coming here before moving and all they managed to do was continue to compliment my eyebrows and how they have a great shape. I get into my car and check them out and to my horror, ONE IS SHORTER THAN THE OTHER! It took two whole months for my eyebrows to get it's form back. read more

I'd like to compliment all of your employees at Zia Threading, for their outstanding customer service & knowledge at your Laguna Woods store, especially your micro blading services. They are always pleasant to speak with & goes out of their way to provide me top-notch customer service. I will recommend your store and services in the highest regards to anyone who may. You can be sure that I will continue to do business with you for years to come!!! read more

Farrah is the best one here. She takes her time, asks questions to do your eyebrows to your liking. She's a true artist. I went to the other girls a couple of times, and this one girl in particular who I can't remember her name would always be a bad time. Always complained about my brows and how I supposedly messed them up, when the last person who did them a few weeks back were...lo and behold, herself. She'd get easily distracted too, keeps looking everywhere at other people. Hello? Are you paying attention to not accidentally threading off the wrong piece of hair? I'm totally picky with my eyebrows, but Farrah does magic. If she leaves I wouldn't go here, and the reason I gave this 5 stars is because Farrah. Thank you!!!! read more

I've I've been here about half a dozen times and every time I've been I've never had to wait for my service. Annie threaded my brows, lip, chin and neck. Best eyebrow place! Sahar and Noreen are awesome I never need to explain they always do my eyebrows perfect must go! Have been going for several months now and very happy with the compliments of my eyebrows read more

Aisha is the best! I am always reluctant to let someone else do my eyebrows when she isn't there. I just left there from a lip and eyebrow and I wish I would have just held out for her. The pricing is good and they have a punch card. Moving forward I will always call ahead to make sure she is there first! read more

At the risk of making the wait line even longer, I'll say that this is a great place to go for eyebrow threading. The wait time is hit or miss depending on the day and time that you go. I've tried pretty much their entire staff and they're all pretty good. I've been told the price (with tip) is cheaper than other places. Mina (spelling?) also has a great hand with henna for both traditional and modern designs. They also give you a punch card to reward repeat customers. read more

They have ample room to serve walk ins. I left the other place I was going to because they would not allow people to use their restroom. I love the location. It's next to Mother's Market, so that's very convenient to a mother. The location is very local to everything in the Laguna Hills area, especially since my own business is a minute away. It's right next to a Starbucks for ladies on the go who need their brows done and a cup of tea. Honestly, my biggest reason for choosing this place is that it's clean, I can bring my kids who wait during my service, they're friendly, AND THEY HAVE A RESTROOM that they are not stingy with. Great friendly and talented services by all of their employees. read more

The girls do a great job at Zia! I usually pop in after my nail appointment, as this location is located conveniently down the street from the nail salon I go to and they take walk ins. I have had my eyebrows royally messed up at other threading places and I can say that they do a really good job here! I always end up leaving with great shaped brows and they actually listen when I tell them that I do not want them to look too thin! I love the rose water that they offer at the end of the appointment to help soothe my skin. They are also resonably priced. The only con is that it smells a little bit like dog pee in the salon. read more

I have lived down in SD county for three years and I honestly always make the trip and only get my eyebrows threaded here. The quality of service is really that good for me. I went through a period of time when my eyebrows were honestly just out of control. I'm super protective of them now, and have had really bad experiences threading in other places. I've been going here for about four years, and I've had my eyebrows done by anybody who is available at the time, and I've never once been disappointed. I've even taken three or four other people there and every single time every single person is happy with the result. This place is clean, the staff is always friendly, and even when it's busy I never have to wait that long. And what's most important is I always looooove how my eyebrows look afterward. Definitely always worth the trip for me - excellent service, and excellent eyebrows. read more
