The girls do a great job at Zia! I usually pop in after my nail appointment, as this location is located conveniently down the street from the nail salon I go to and they take walk ins. I have had my eyebrows royally messed up at other threading places and I can say that they do a really good job here! I always end up leaving with great shaped brows and they actually listen when I tell them that I do not want them to look too thin! I love the rose water that they offer at the end of the appointment to help soothe my skin. They are also resonably priced. The only con is that it smells a little bit like dog pee in the salon. read more

I have lived down in SD county for three years and I honestly always make the trip and only get my eyebrows threaded here. The quality of service is really that good for me. I went through a period of time when my eyebrows were honestly just out of control. I'm super protective of them now, and have had really bad experiences threading in other places. I've been going here for about four years, and I've had my eyebrows done by anybody who is available at the time, and I've never once been disappointed. I've even taken three or four other people there and every single time every single person is happy with the result. Place is clean and everything is spread 6ft apart. They are asking that everyone comes in wearing a face mask. However, there was a man not wearing a face mask and they did not ask him to put one on. They are doing temperature checks which is nice. The phone number on the door, I did call but one number was not working and the other number worked. Spoke to a lady; asked if I needed appointment and she said no, but come back in 30 min and they can see me. Came back in 30 min a little wait. I came here on 11/27/17 and there was only one person that was threading eyebrows (MAYBE THIS IS THE REASON...She was probably in a hurry). My sis in law had her eyebrows done first and so I decided to get mine done too, what a freaking mistake! First, the technician keep saying I didn't put my name on the list but I did and I keep telling her to check the list because I did, however she didn't even want to check that she was wrong. Secondly, SHE FREAKING ruined my eyebrows by taking off so much hair from my eyerbows, she might have well have drawn a line in my eyebrow area. I didn't really get her name because she didn't write it down....maybe she knows she made a mistake!! I have come here about 5 times with mediocre results. The last two times are what made me decide I won't be coming back. They were both with the same woman named Ruby. The first time she was rude and argued with me when I pointed out that one side was longer than the other and asked her to correct it. She just kept arguing with everything I wasn't happy with so I just gave up and left. Today I went back, hoping not to get her again, but of course she was there and the first one to open up and I'm kind of soft spoken so I didn't want to be a diva and ask for the other lady. I tried to explain to her that I wasn't really happy the last time so that I could describe how I want it to look different, and she kept cutting me off and arguing. She said, "well I don't know if I can make you happy." As she's starting on my first brow! Ummm!? So I kind of just pull back and look at her like.... Seriously? She starts bitching at me and says "are you going to lie your head back down or not?" Which is so unbelievably rude and I really just wanted to walk out but again I'm not the best at sticking up for myself do I just asked her to at least be polite. She claimed that she is being polite by telling me she doesn't know if I'll be happy. Ok.... Then she proceeds to grunt commands at me the rest of the time and get annoyed when I don't understand. Maybe the most annoying part is that she doesn't know how to listen. She would ask me questions and not let me finish. She had me look at my brows and ask me how I liked the arch. I said its perfect, I want it exactly like that. And her response was, I can do more of an arch but its going to be too thin. Umm no, that's ok, I just said I want it exactly like that. ?! Just got my entire face and eyebrows done here. This is my first time ever getting threaded. My face looks like it has a light sunburn, but I LOVE MY NEW FACE!!! No hair on my face, so now I can wear foundation flawlessly! My face was done by a lady named Bebe(sp?). She made the experience a positive one. This was my first time threading and I loved it. The gals were so perky and quick. I just walked in and ordered the combo brow and lip for $12. I was seated in 5 min and she was done in 10 min. The sound of the thread was a bit unnerving at first but since I've been waxed and tweezed a bunch, it wasn't at all painful. I have been going to this place for a couple of months and have had three different girls thread my eyebrows and upper lip. Zia, Babi (I think) and Meena( I think) the best one was Meena and then Zia. Babi was horrible she is really fast so it is more painful and never checks if the eyebrows are even she always threads one shorter than the other..I should have said no not her today and waited for Meena.. but I was waiting for 30 minutes and wanted to go home. I had tears coming out and she screwed one my eyebrows. I feel like going back to see if they can fix it! One thing I have learned is you have to be very vocal to them and really look at the outcome and if it's not right then have them fix it right then and there :) read more

i've been coming in recently to get my eyebrows back to having a pretty arch (i used to have straight eyebrows) and annie is helping out so much. instead of plucking every single hair that's growing she was honest and recommended for me to grow out my eyebrows and threaded the necessary amount. she didn't leave my eyebrows super thin and made them as even as possible. she's amazing and helping me out with my eyebrow journey! i appreciate that she communicates with me and is super gentle. great personality, great communication skills and a great brow technician. read more

As a middle eastern woman, eyebrows and hair removal are pretty important to me and grooming is kind of a must. We brown women just come naturally hairy and if we don't groom we become chewbacca! Having had my eyebrows tinted several months ago in Washington for the first time and enjoying not having to draw them every day, as they started to fade, I looked for a local place to have them tinted again. I got my eyebrows threaded and tinted here, but the tinting washed off the next day. I didn't even wash my face for at least 12 hours, and just used mild face wash. Very disappointed. The threading was great, but I still have no eyebrows. Wont be going there again for tinting. ;( read more
