He text me at 7:20, telling me that the 91fwy was closed possibly because a bad accident, so he asked if we could reschedule for the next day at 8AM. I agreed. When we decided to remodel the kitchen we sought three quotes. The first came from Orange Mill, the second from a very small construction company, and the third with Sol Construction. All three came in around the same price. We decided to go with Sol because we thought they were big enough and professional enough to handle the job, but not too big that you feel like another number. Josh is very knowledgeable in home construction. He returns every phone call and text within a matter of minutes. The subcontractors that he brought in to complete the job were very polite, professional and highly skilled. No "jack of all trades and master of none" here. Each subcontractor was an artist in his area - the fabricator, the dry wall repairman, the plumber, the electrician and finally the painter. Each subcontractor arrived on time and did an amazing job.

Sol Construction is professional, reliable, and does excellent work. We used them to convert a loft into an office in 2020. This required texturing new walls to match current walls, which is not easy to do. And their work was flawless. It felt like they were working on their own home with their attention to detail. And, they kept us updated all along the way on the progress. They do tend to get booked far out, though, and I can see why. But they are definitely worth the wait. We had an emergency bathroom project due to a slab leak and we had to go with another company that was available for that project and we regret it. We should have just waited, even if it meant weeks without the master bathroom. Sol Construction is worth the wait. And their pricing is very fair for the quality of work.

As someone who was 7 months pregnant at the time, I was honestly dreading the process, but Steven and his team made everything so smooth and stress-free. I was especially impressed with how early and efficiently the crew arrived to tent up our house. They carefully went through all of our food to make sure everything was properly sealed, worked quickly, and remained extremely accommodating and kind even while waiting on us to fully clear the home. Every single person who came through -- from the initial estimate, to tenting, the borate treatment, and the final vacuuming -- was professional, considerate of our living space, kept everything tidy, cleaned up thoroughly after themselves, and was genuinely friendly. When the power went out in our city during the fumigation, I was able to reach Steven late at night. He immediately checked with management and confirmed that a couple of hours without power wouldn't affect the process or the timeline. That level of responsiveness meant so much. I had several quotes, and while The Termite Guy was a bit more expensive, I chose them because of Steven. His knowledge, passion for termites and the fumigation process, and genuine care were unmatched. He answered every single one of my questions in great detail. Mel was also incredibly helpful with scheduling and following up whenever Steven was unavailable. This can be such a stressful process, but Steven and the whole team made it seamless. We look forward to working with them again in another decade!
